  1. @Crescent - I love your style it is very retro and reminds me of some of my favorite old-fashioned RPGs. I do have a small critique, the trees come way to close to the castle, like sitting on top of it a bit, even despite that if you had to build a huge stone castle in the middle of the forest you'd have to do some extra clearing out, so the trees would honestly not be that close. I do think it has a lot of promise though. @BornoutofCore - I like your style, it is very simplistic and has a strong MS Paint feel, which is not really a bad thing if you keep consistent. I do think you could use a bit more variation on your maps, if you are doing this via parallax then you have a lot more control than the average map builder if not then perhaps creating a bit more options to use in the map would help you. Also, one major thing I noticed is that you lack shadows, your trees have shadows, and shading, but do not cast shadows which really stands out in my eyes. In fact, the only shadows I do see are the ones that the editor places from walls automatically.
  2. I hope that Golem meets your needs, let me know if you have any other requests, I may just find some free time.
  3. I like your art style, it is very cute but doesn't leave out any details.
  4. To each his own I suppose, I'm not going to berate anyone, I was just pointing out a fact. My opinion doesn't really matter, but from a legal standpoint, if there is to be money made on this, you could be sued by the creators of Fairy Tale and anything else that rfrf was 'inspired' from.
  5. I will take on this project, it has been a while since I made anything RTP style, and I think I could use a refresher project.
  6. I like your work here, the open town map looks very busy, but when you are working closer with it, you will likely not notice how many trees there are. One thing I did notice, and this is more of a design point really, is the level of technology from the outside of the town to the inside. Seems odd to me that a town with a big screen TV in the room would not have a single street light or any sort of cars or traffic to speak of, but maybe that is just me.
  7. I have interest and talent, but also a 10-month-old son who I have full not a lot of free time. What are you looking for in terms of pixel art? I'd be happy to contribute what I can.
  8. I can understand making something new from it, but to claim it as original when it is obviously not only the exact style but a direct scene from the anime? That borders on plagiarism, and I would have rfrf be careful if they are doing art for you. It would be a shame for your game to get in trouble for having stolen work in it.
  9. I feel like this image was an altered fairy tail image....maybe it is just similar?
  10. This is seriously good stuff, I'm very impressed.
  11. This obviously had a lot of thought put into it, and I think the game play using this formula would be interesting.
  12. pixel art

Wow this is some serious skill! I could learn a thing or sixteen from you.
  13. 1) Well moving the npc is simply setting a move route within the event 2) You can set the requirement for the npc to be event touch, that will cause what is in the event to happen when it bumps the player. 3)You can make it drop a key item a variety of ways, the easiest is set the event to add the item when battle is finished via the event. You can set victory triggers which gives a conditional branch to determine if the item drops. 4) when the battle is complete and all parts of the event are done, have it turn on self switch A, then have a second event page with nothing on it and a requirement of self switch A to on.

Your project makes me think of one thing: Nuzlocke, pokemon + darksouls sounds like terrible animal abuse lol, but the game itself sounds rather interesting and has peaked my interest. Welcome to the forums!
  15. well if you simply want to display the variable in the window it is just /v[n] where n is the number of the variable. If you want it to display a picture it is a bit more complex.
