  1. hello friends here is another song to enjoy as promised here is baby kav i guess uh here's a picture i made in 2008???? i don't actually have anything meaningful to post oh well i'm working on a video game inspired by heavy rain and the Reives® Classic Game™© To The Moon™®©. you can play it on youtube this fall have fun ++ stay frosty! ~ teloch-kun (ˊˊ・ω・)ã¤(・(・
  2. do you like my banner i made it for you especially for you just for you please enjoy it i like animation, video games and music and to a lesser extent the creation of animation, video games and music. i like also to talk a lot without direction. perhaps these topics will merge into insightful posts that will help you immensely as you go through life. here's a song for you: Theme of Sandfall it was written to accompany the opening sequence for Sandfall, which was this very HBO-esque adventure game set in this cute little wild west steampunk world with alcohol smuggling and politics. it was Despain's project really but i liked it enough that i wanted to attach my name to it too, which isn't something i want to do very often. i had lots and lots of notes written down for the musical direction i wanted to take the soundtrack - i didn't want to just go straight standard cowboy music, but rather instill a bit of an ACOUSTIC HIP-HOP feel and also incorporate traditional Asian instruments like the erhu, though this song doesn't really get those ideas across. artistically we were going to have these really pretty parallax maps and tall sprites with 8 frames of animation and it looked really good. the game was laid out in a fashion closer to that of traditional adventure games than your typical RPG Maker project, with all sorts of little incidental details like randomized NPCs moving around the city and buskers chilling on street corners plying their trade and stuff. you could interact with lots of people and they were all CHARACTERS with background stories and stuff. there was a ton of exploration and really neat little puzzles involved (Despain did most of them) and this cute sort of action-puzzle-combat system where depending on how you dealt with a bad guy (shooting him to kill vs. shooting somewhere in the environment to disarm/disable) the story would branch a bit and events would change. here's more songs: cello improv draft 2011-10-12 theme of milo improv draft 2011-10-12 theme of sandfall early noguitar 2011-09-28 Sandfall fell apart because even though it was a fantastic idea with great writing and gameplay design behind it, we were really bad at actually MANAGING THE PROJECT and we spent too much time on stuff that didn't matter and tried too hard on stuff that didn't matter and also weren't really very compatible with each other to begin with and argued a lot about stuff that didn't matter (mostly my fault). also because my laptop died and i lost all my work and with it my motivation to keep going. i think Despain's computer died too but i don't remember if it was as big a setback. so if you're working on a game and you want it to not die too you should make sure to keep regular redundant backups of everything you do and also to not argue with the people you're working with unless it's actually about something important. suck it up and compromise. also don't give anyone like me an important role outside of contract work because they'll shit on everything you do. that's a lot of words orz next time i'll share pictures of kav in the bath as a babby, so stay tuned!
