Continuous BGM from map to battle

I was interested in having one scene in my game where the background music does not change from the map to the battle. As in having the same track play through the map, through the battle transition, and through the victory page, back to the map. An example of this would be the very beginning of Final Fantasy VII where the "Bombing Mission" track plays up until a certain point in the story. I suspect that I may have to override Scene_Map and Scene_Battle, but I am not entirely sure. Does anyone have an idea of where to begin?

In an event, tab 3 - Change Battle BGM. Make it the same as the track you want. It will continuously play from the map to the battle if it's the same track.

He also wants to change the Victory ME so that it doesn't play, right? In that case you also need to change the Battle End ME to None.
