In 2091, Earth suffered a great damage from nature's wrath; the human population has dropped from 12 Billion to a couple of hundred thousands. Almost every country, cities, and structures was turned to ash. Ever since the balance of nature was destroyed, plants dominate the earth; it causes the oxygen to rise in a whole new level, making animals and other living things bigger. New species also was discovered.
People who survived the great loss gathered around the pacific ocean and started to build a fortress, for people to live in, and they called it the "CORE". After the CORE was established in 2301, it never failed to defend the people inside it from the attacks coming from the animals outside the fortress until a sudden change occurs; due to the lack of food and other resources; people was, once again, started killing each other inside the fortress; normal citizens became thugs, looters, and sometimes murderers, but what they discover was far more fearsome than the human's behavior, the "Gloom". They are a new life form born from the negative emotions of humans; they don't don't have a solid body, so they control the humans, who gave birth to them, and make it them attack other human beings. In order to control the situation, the new Government created a special unit to eradicate the threat, they are called A.G.S.U. (Anti-Gloom Special Unit). They are soldiers who are highly trained to control a disaster, and their skills are far greater than a normal CORE Soldier's skills.
In the preset year 2932, four A.G.S.U. Agents were assigned to Zone 00, the main district of CORE and the first place they discovered the Gloom. Will they be able to stop this extraordinary situation or is it another annihilation for humans?
