Yeah already watched that. It's dumb that things are getting so locked down creatively. But you all should know my feelings on copyright in general by now.

Saw that yesterday, mhmmm. KilloZappit already knows my feelings, but if some games had altered their settings/characters a bit they'd have been good to go. It sucks to have to do that, especially when you're really passionate about a series/character, but it's all we can do to protect our creations atm.

I can't really get mad at companies/creators wanting to be the only ones using their characters, but I hate seeing so much hard work getting tossed right into the bin.

Those are my thoughts on the subject. The Chrono Trigger remake was practically finished and instead of Square saying to the devs "Hey, that's awesome! Nice job!" or even go so far as to say "If you pulled this off with a small team, how would you like to come work for us?"

But no. All that time, energy and passion wasted, all because they shouted "Stop playing with my toys!"

Thus is the copyright system.
