Hi, for some reason whenever I open any rpgmaker game that uses rgss3, it opens to a black screen for about a second and closes with no error message. I'm on Windows 10 and have tried just about everything with no results, any help would be appreciated

Experience has taught me that the vast majority of you will be too young or uninformed to understand, but I'm going to try anyway. The blatant shenanigans have gone on for far too long, and someone has to say something.

I play a TPS MMO for 360 called Defiance. I don't play often anymore, but I maintain an account and a Leadership role within my respective clan. Earlier this month someone had the audacity to call me a "noob" because I don't have (or need) a supreme shield. After humiliating him not once, but twice through dueling, I proceeded to educate him in front of the entire North American server in Zone Chat.

Noob is a term we frequently hear thrown around in cheap. And if you've ever taken or plan to take the time to call someone a noob, you're going to want to pay real close attention.

The correct spelling is Newb. Newb as in newly registered, new to the way things work, new account, and so on. I mean after all, we'd never say, "What are you, noo?" Because that would make us look like a total foot sandwich, right?

Noob, or the even rarer, more idiotic n00b, is what newbs say when they're trying to be cool. So what went wrong? An entire generation of newbs grew up, and noob became the norm... I mean, look, Donald Trump was elected President of the United States of America... It's just the age we live in, folks.

Someone had to say something, because again, the shenanigans have gone on for far too long.

	Hello!

So I've been trying to find a series of game titles that were made from RPG Maker (both being Vx or VX Ace). I had all of their titles on my old PC but it died a while back and I can't access the memory anymore without having to tear it apart. I remember it used all the already packaged stuff from VX, as well as it using the free tracks from the RMN.

Last I remember, their was a fourth title coming out using the MV's engine.

If I'm mistaken, one of the playable characters is known as an otherkin or beastkin.

If anyone can help me, I'd be grateful. Thank you!

I remember about 6 months to a year ago I was looking around some RPGM MV stuff and I found a plugin that said it made it so you can give shops different prices, which is what I was looking for. But then it also said it could give shops prices that change over time for whatever reason. Earlier this week I remembered this plugin and I want to pursue making a game based off this idea. Only problem is, I can't find the plugin. Anyone know what plugin this is, or any way to do this without it?
P.S.- Does anyone know a different channel that I can ask about this in, cause i looked at all of them and they don't seem fitting.

So I got Story of Seasons: Trio of Towns for Christmas, and I thought I'd share my character!

He's based on Shiroya from Destiny Ninja 2, though I had to shorten his name to "Shiroa" because of the six-letter limit (I think all games should've extended that by now). I just pretend there's a "y" in there.

Hi! I have a rather new Youtube channel and have been strongly advised to play games that aren't very popular (but still well made and interesting). So, do you have any suggestions? I'm open to pretty much all games, all I ask is that they be inexpensive or preferably, free. And, you know, not popular XD. However, I'm really looking out for horror games, story driven games, and RPG Maker games. I don't know if suggesting your own game would technically break the no advertisement rule, but I would be open to that too if it's allowed.

So, I've been working with a game developer for a project that involves bringing back the Guitar Hero game series, with the working title Clone Hero.

I'm just a tester, but it really does work well, because it is based in the low-resource Unity Engine, and so it should run decently on older computers.

But, I'm more or less unable to describe it in words, so a video is due for showing off it's wonders.

Excuse My Gut - Winter Fitness Gaming Challenge

So what is this? Well, a while back, I was getting requests to return to longplays. I didn't want to do it for a while because I was having fun doing themed quickplays, but I decided I would try something for the late fall/winter months. Basically what I'm doing here is I'm playing through a game in one hour increments and setting special rules for myself that cause me to have to pause and workout at regular intervals. The rules are as follows:

- If I level up, I have to pause and exercise. If the same character levels up more than once, I have to exercise even more.

- If I die, I have to pause and do a challenging exercise, i.e. burpees.

- If neither of these happens for 10 minutes of gameplay, I have to pause and exercise.

So in some cases I'm only exercising 6 times in a given video, but there have been instances where it's been 10 times or greater that I'm having to pause and exercise! I'm hoping to help people get and stay motivated to work out during the winter months when it's especially tough to even think about getting out of bed, let alone exercising. Furthermore, I'm helping to educate people about all kinds of exercises you can do from the comfort of your home with no equipment necessary. Sound good? Well, check out the first video in the series and let me know what you think...

It's also important to note that the "current stats" section at the beginning will update as I improve at the gym as well. So in a way, I'm using this longplay challenge as a way to get myself into better shape as well.

Anyone been playing the New Final Fantasy 15 game?

Its pretty good!

I recommend picking it up providing you have the relevant console.

Its a pretty strange game too though, quite different from past Final Fantasy games too.

Combat seems closer too Kingdom Hearts, its a more open world sort of game, magic got revamped the fuck up.

But I mean, its a very strange game game outside of the game mechanics too.

Graphically, it doesnt really fit with the tone of the game, character voices are a bit cartoony.

Prompto seems like any anime dudes best friend.

Play the game and I hope you'll see what I mean.

Its just very strange.

But good.

So I realized I have like 60+ games that I categorized as horror or horror themed in my Steam library and that got me thinking...I haven't done ANY twitch in a while (I was actually still working on my Mother 3 playthrough off and on), so why not have something special for the whole month of October? And then I thought hey, wouldn't it be fun if I got the whole community behind it? I'm in the process of installing about 30 or so games that I can select from and intend to twitch for at least an hour a night throughout all October, probably doing a new game each night, even if it's only a one-off.

Still, that's my situation. I really only have about an hour or so I can allocate each night, with the exception of my days off, mostly because I have to wake up early on days that I work. What I was wondering is if everyone else wanted to try this? We can post links to each others' twitch accounts, update with what we're playing, etc. This will also help us all get more press, views, and even highlight horror games we might otherwise not have thought of.

And that ALSO got me thinking...there are a fair amount of awesome horror games on RPG Maker (The Longing Ribbon, The Witch's House, etc.), so why not highlight some of those as well? It doesn't have to be entirely RPG Maker, but I love finding new kickass RPG Maker games. Anyway, this doesn't have to start until October, but I was wondering what you guys thought about it. I'll be following and updating this topic just in case.

Edit: My username on twitch is gunsage13. I don't have any content on there right now because it's already cycled through, but you can check out archived stuff on my youtube account, which is just gunsage. This isn't a contest, but if you'd like to participate, let's all throw out our usernames now so we can follow each other!

Along with Flailcast (where I blindly, but completely play through a game), my Magically Delicious St. Patrick's Day Special, and others, I want to do a LOT of fighting game playthroughs and have their own separate category set up. The idea is I give myself 3 credits and see how far I can go. With a lot of these, I may only need one, but I'll give myself 3 just in case.

The idea here is try to pick some awesome, bizarre, and/or otherwise obscure fighting games. One I can already envision doing that not a whole lot of people seem to know about is Waku Waku 7. In any case, if you have any strange, weird, or obscure suggestions or just games you'd like me to play that are fighting games, let me know. I'll post my plays here.

Afternoon RMers,

Something a new member said about comparing RM games got me thinking about making this master list of sorts.
I'll add more entres to this when I get home, and also include some images, an abstract, how favourably it seems to have been received, and any blog or website it might have (although, not to where you can purchase it).

So I've given it some thought and I'd actually like to take a crack at a St. Patrick's Day special. I'm going to call it Gun Sage's Magically Delicious St. Patrick's Day Special. It doesn't have to be anything extravagant and obviously it will have games in it where you drink excessive amounts of alcohol, but I want to go beyond just fratbro stuff.

I want to have some legitimately great games to play that involve Ireland, Irish folklore, awesome Irish heroes, and so on. I'm going to read up a little more on St. Patrick's Day itself and hopefully stumble across some, but in the meantime, if you have any recommendations (funny, serious, or otherwise), let me know!

As a general disclosure, I will NOT post any adult materials into this thread. However, there WILL be adult (mature, adults only, etc.) materials within the core playlist. I will NOT include the core playlist, but it can be found on my Youtube profile.

Okay, scary stuff out of the way...welcome! I have a lot of romance/dating sim/creepy valentines games to go through. As stated previously, I will only provide games that are not adult in nature here in this thread. This will be similar to 2 spoopy and my Big Fat Stupid Holiday Special. If there are any games you'd like to recommend, I'm certainly open to feedback. Let me know what you like, hate, and all that.

First up, we have...

For those of you that haven't played this, the game is justified because you are able to "dive" into your reyvateils (robot songstresses) in order to increase your affinity with them, learn new magic, and in general discover more about their emotions, likes, fears, and so on. It is very much a JRPG and feels like a more futuristic version of Atelier Iris. I highly recommend it and it's not super pervy or dirty, so it's pretty well on point.

What are your favorite game genre?

Do you have any ideas for a game you really want to play?

Is there a game that has a style you would like to see more of?

What game genres are you sick of?

I think 2D mario style platformers has been done enough.

I'm also sick of lol random simulator games, and generally most of the shite that enters steam greenlight.

Zombie survival games, I am sick of games that has zombies as the main enemy, get creative instead.

I really want to play an action game with an incredible story, but not too generous with the dialogue and cut scenes.

It should have medieval weaponry, and all equipment and weapons should have stat boosts, every formula fx. skill formulas in the game should be visible to the player, so you could play around with the math. You should level up the things you use like in skyrim. When you level up you can choose what stats you want to boost.

I would like to see more games in the style of Dark Souls, but without references or directly ripping off.

What do you think?
