It's been some time since I started this topic and I admit it has been a learning process, as I learn to organize everything in a manner that everyone can find. I hope to get everything moved and the topic prettied up in the next couple of days, though, shopping day is fast approaching (Thursday), so whatever I don't have done will have to wait until Saturday. I hope to get it done today and even more added, so let's hope. P.S. Let me know if these topic headers are too big, as this is the first time "I" created any.

COMMON SENSE RULE: If you can't use something commercial, I will tell you that you can only use it in a free game. If the pattern or tile I use is only in rpg maker vx ace, you can only use it in rpg maker vx ace. Otherwise, all tiles have the ability to be used in a commercial or free game. I don't do this for money as it is something I enjoy, but if you do create a commercial game, could I have a free copy? Hey, I am a gamer and a girl, we look for bargains any place we can.

^A very talented artist inspired me to attempt to create my own marble tiles and I finally decided to create a pattern similar to Celianna's, but in a way that you knew it was mine. I recreated my rug, the ruined carpet and a single tile. I am really bad at names, but she has this wonderful blue girl face set that she drew herself and begins with Never, I think. o.o Bad with names, seriously.

^I give inspiration credit to Celianna, whose futuristic tiles screenshots drove me crazy to the point I had to figure out how she created them. I don't think they are that bad, but honestly, she is an amazing artist, because I think mine could still use plenty of work. o.o

^Part two of my minimalistic tiles only with an added kitchen tiles. I added the backsplash tile for those with graphical confidence to edit. Feel free to change the backsplash. Please note that the thin black thing is actually my attempt at a sideways TV, but if you wish to use Celianna's TV there instead.. you won't hurt my feelings any.

SCIENCE FICTION

^The bloody bed is created with a graphic that I got from Raciff or whatever, his name is. He or she created bloody tiles set that ended up on Grannydeb's list. I am uncertain of his or her terms, so if you want commercial use, either contact them or erased and create your own bloody beds. I can not speak of other people.

^This was partially inspired by the few tiles that was in Celianna's screenshots and being unable to afford them, created my own tiles like hers. I, also, created some of my own, lockers and such. I edited them, further to make them even more different then they already were.

^An add-on to my hospital and future tiles with more holes in the wall, a cash register, glass divider for a lab set up and plenty of vents, with rusty versions of my lockers.

POOR TILES

*Note: I duplicated Celianna's pipes but you can so tell as hers as 100% better than mine. At least I used the shape as I don't know what pipes look like and needed an example to go off of. I still think it needs a bit of work. This can also be used in the science fiction section as well as minimalist design. And this is an edit of the tub that I made sideways to give me more options in bathrooms.*

^Inspiration each and all the horror games with grave yards in them. The staircase and the vents are mainly for over grown plant life. That would be RE2 for people who want to know the inspiration. I created the sideways tombstones. I admit I am amazed since I honestly suck on sideways stuff.

^Credit to whoever put out the barrier outside of my apartment with these exact coloring. Plus I had seen the zombie pack and thought why not. The saw horse is an rtp edit. I have interior versions of all the doors in question that matches the exterior character set versions.

^Please not the the blood is from C.H.E. and should be treated as a free graphic until you discover their TOU. I am planning on removing the blood in question only not tonight. The white squares are billboards so feel free to put whatever picture you want there.

My first of my train sets with a couple of ways of handling how you do it. Want a panorama yup you can do that or not depending on which wall you use. I want to have graphics from regular train to orient express type of train. I plan on creating a galley kitchen and a dining cart in the next few months.

^This is an external view of the train and plus some fancy wooden furniture created from a wood that normally has this two tone affect only I can't remember what it's called. If anyone knows the name it is associated with certain parts of the world...

SEWERS

^Please note that I forgot to remove the railings and while you can use everything else commercial, you can not use that graphic for anything other than the artist's TOU, which I am unaware of. Thank you.

^None of those are from the official Japanese pack from Enterbrain but edited RTP to have the same look. I admit that I wish I could afford that pack. But my edits will have to do and if you can afford them... BUY THEM. You will not regret it from what I see since their sakura tree looks awesome. Mine is passable.

I am planning on posting picture of how to use these character sets, not really all that hard, but it can be the first time around. The effect looks awesome and is a really good tool for games with mines.

^ Inspiration credit to Celianna as I always wanted an animated grate, can be used in modern and science fiction. Which is why character objects are general.

^Inspiration: Japanese tile set by Enterbrain, which I still wish I could get, because I just love the look and feel of the screenshots. My edits are mostly to help people that do not have the $$$ to buy them and want Japanese tiles for free. Next step, staircase bookshelves that was used in that period. I can't help it, so cute and functional.

^This will have to be put in the proper format which can be done in one of two ways.. If you want your character to walk into the door it will have to be two character sets side by side otherwise you will have to treat it like a gate type door.

^Inspired by Lunarea's graphics and namely because I have my own way of doing things and her graphics will not mesh with mine. So I went a bit overboard and created a bunch of doors like hers and a bit of Celianna's red type door inspiration and got what I have here. I do have interior versions of each of the doors so yeah I went a bit overboard. As always really.

^Success! I finally created rusty and damaged doors! This works with my train tiles or whatever. I have new versions too so you can have a damaged train or new depending on your story.

^Likely to be update with a couple of changes but I will update the topic to inform you of this change. I don't like a certain aspect for those who know or can tell it's certain doors with certain windows... I need an edge for that's not there.

^Uncertain about legality of use as I did base my graphic on one that I saw online. For legal reasons, I highly suggest free only until such time as other people give their opinions. They are based on a Japanese XP door that had the same look, only much different art style and plus, I am uncertain of his or her rules. I am japanese illiterate.

^Tired of the same old switches, well, so was I... Nah, I was just playing around and came up with these. I, also, have an version without the center colored piece so it looks empty, find it in the tile set section.

^Unanimated doors created in December, as I was uncertain of animation at that time, still am. If anyone wants to animate them, feel free.

(aka Celianna's graphic) The only reason, you will not be able to use "X" commercially if the original author said 'no', which often, I don't edit others art to begin with. Just a really big tower

Hi there, folks! I have a rather simple request, but one which is giving me no end of headaches to create. What I want is pretty simple, but I keep running into issues with turning it into a proper tileset with a transparent background. All I really need is a tileset that is just a single, large tower. It should be the equivalent of 8 squares wide and 39 squares high. Down the center should be a sort of pathway kinda like the one from Super Mario World, with little circles that the player would go to in order to go to the individual floors (There should be 13). The style of the construction I'll leave mostly to your imagination. There are two things that I ask: The top should have a conical roof of some sort, and the bottom should have a pair of guardhouses with domed roofs. Yes, I know what that will make it look like. There's a method to my madness. Past that, I encourage inserting your own fantastical details. Even the art style isn't particularly important as long as it's obvious that it's a tower. Any detail beyond the basics of the tower and the path is a bonus and strictly based on your own artistic whims. I expect that an artist will have their own ideas of what it should look like and I've left a lot of the details vague on purpose to really let someone shine! Thanks for reading!

Edit: Ah, an important detail: The tower is a school for witches learning magic! The higher the levels, the more powerful the witch. The towers above the third level are for fully trained witches with teachers at the lower levels and others going high, all the way to the top floor which is for the Head Witch of the tower (Haven't thought of what I want to call her yet as the story for this is just forming really.) I figured that might be important for some who would want to put details that would correlate to such information.

Hello, I'm learning coding and I need help with an script.

I'm using Crazyninjaguy script for this (because Yanfly script seems a little too complicated for me).

Until now I managed to make it look as I want to, but I have a problem with a new window I created; it doesn't shows the items picture, and I don't understand why...

(This image is an example, I made it with Etude 87 Menu editor)

Like in the image, I want the Gold window to have the Items descriptions and the locate window to have the Items picture.

But dunno how to do it... I just managed to make the windows look like I want to, but I don't know why the items pictures do not appear where I want them to (actually they do not appear at all...)

I already created the Items picture window but I can't guess what to do next.

Someone knows how to fix it? How to do it? I need help with scripting...

very strange bug to with new game (and save file)

I just spotted a very serious and rare bug in rpg maker vx ace.

Bring attention.

- I start a new game
- I go to a map X (An empty house for example), I create an object from a template (Spawn events).
- I put the object on the ground.
- I save the game
- Without exiting the game, I go to the "title screen"
- Start a new game in another slot
- I go to the map of the house, and oh surprise, the object that I had created in the previous game is there.

How is it possible that this object exists? If I created it in a different save file..

Does it have something to do with estriole's decor and build script that allows creating objects from another template map?

If anyone can help me with this, I would appreciate it.

So, I'm hoping this is a simple thing that maybe I'm just not finding with my searches, but if not, that maybe someone is willing to work these up really quick. I'm looking for an easy chair and a sofa for my character's library/living room. If there is one where the easy chair is sitting at an angle (so that it can be in a corner pointed towards the center of the room and fireplace) that would be even better. Currently, in the basic resources, there are only "thrones" which really don't fit what I want.

How to make a character fade out of the map?

So, in my VX Ace project, i intend to trigger a battle between the player and a certain character. If the player wins, the game will return to the map, and that character will slowly fade out of the screen.

I solved everything except for the fade out part. I know there's the "change opacity" option inside "set move route", but manually changing that value from 255 all the way to 0 seems exhausting.

I'm a complete beginner at RPG Maker, so i don't know of any scripts that can handle this or if scripts are even necessary for this issue. Any ideas?

In need of a script that modifies death state...

Hi! I am hoping someone can help me out by writing a script for me. Essentially, i want one of the characters in my game to have a skill that when their hp reaches zero, they either

a) are randomly revived with 1 hp and automatically do 1 final attack for crit damage against all enemies and then their own hp is reduced to 0.

b) upon death, the character will randomly do 1 final attack for crit damage against all enemies.

In either case, whichever is easier to do. any help is much appreciated as i have zero scripting knowledge.

Why is my event only usable from the sides?

This is kind of driving me crazy because I can't for the life of me figure out what's causing this. My speculation has run to "maybe there's too many things in this column" but that doesn't seem to be the case.

Basically I have an event that is visually jail cell bars, and is set to same level, action button, and begins a conversation. (Meant to be the character behind the bars.) However, the event on the right, where I want it to be, only works if I ctrl-walk in the editor and use it from the sides. It does not work from above or below. But, I copied it (the left one) and that works fine from every direction. What gives?

EDIT: I figured it out. After all these years, it's still the simplest things that can get you.

Below the event is one sent to below, touch, but when it's turned off, it swaps to a new, blank page set to below, action button. That was trumping any adjacent events.

Undefined method error in script

I'm getting the error "Undefined method '[]=' for nil:NilClass. I've looked up advice online, but it's utterly useless, since the problem itself should be impossible. All I'm doing is using a script to adjust the value of a variable. Please take a look at my code and let me know if there is anything that would cause a problem.

This snippet of code represents the sum total of all scripts that interact with the game's variables in any way. The other two scripts are entirely self-contained, and at any rate, they've been commented out to rule them out as suspects.

Female Commanders, Soldiers, and General Actors

I was kinda disheartened when I was looking for some female soldiers and commanders graphics. Most of the RTP style things out there (save for personal characters made for people's specific games) are your stereotypical women graphics. Decided to make/edit some myself! All are edited forms of the base RTP graphics.

Edit: Made some battlers to go along with the pics. They're based off the VX battlers.

Edit: Made a few more faces. No character sprites attached to this, you'll have to make your own.

I made little stories attached to each one as I was making 'em.

(top row, left to right: Elise, Rhiannon, Lian

bottom row, left to right: Dalia, Astrid, Johanna)

Elise - A novice red mage who just recently earned her certificate of mastery. She's calm and laid back.

Rhiannon - Legendary martial arts master who was recently called out of retirement. Most underestimate her because of her age and sex.

Lian - Engineer in charge of the flagship of the airship fleet. She often has her head in the guts of the engines trying to modify them.

Dalia - A woman of few words who is well known in the fighting circuit.

Astrid - A new appointee to the royal guard who is eager to prove herself.

Johanna - A paladin of an ancient order who is still striving to right the world, even as she's getting up there in years.

Hey RMers,

Been doing some recolours and such over the last couple of days and so I thought I'd share some of it.

I'm happy to take requests for recolours if you want, say, a certain trim on an item. If I'm too busy at that time, I'll let you know if and when I can get it done. I don't do a lot on the graphical side of things so I won't take on anything more complex.

None really, go wild. Free for commercial, non-commercial and redistribution. No need for credits, although I wouldn't mind hearing if you did use them.

I'll only be editing RTP probably, but in the case I upload something that was originally someone else's then you'll have to follow their terms ofc.

Since I'll likely upload RTP across makers then you will need to own a copy of whatever specific maker the edit is from for the license to use it. That's my understanding anyways. I'll make it clear which is from where, don't worry.

Why did I make these sprites?

I created the Anime Sprite Resource Well with a clear goal in mind: To provide anime styled characters (and even anime characters) to the community.

-All of the Resources found in this topic are free to use in non-commercial games. A little credit (Credit Kotori-chan ) and a copy of your game will be nice ^~^
-If you are planning to use the sprites here for commercial purposes, please contact me first ^~^ (Commercial usage of the sprites is kinda unlikely to happen due to copyright of animes)
-Reediting/Recolors or redistributing my sprites are forbidden without my consent. Please report any suspicious activity xD
-Do not claim my sprites as your work, please, that is rather unpleasant to steal someone`s hard work and claim it as their own...

I do not own any animes they currently belong to except for some original sprites.

Hello, all! I've learned how to make windowskins, and now I'm here to share my creations with you all

I'll take requests, but keep in mind, I'm still new to making these, so if I can't do what you want, I may have to refuse the request.

Free for use in commercial and non-commercial projects, but please let me know if you are using one of my windowskins, and a copy of your game would be nice as well. It's Matin Catorce from the Epic of Zektbach! I made these because I really love her.

I made them using RMVXAce's character generator and edited them in GIMP 2.

They are free to use in free games only, since the character is not mine and I don't have the Zektbach creators' permission to make a commercial game with her.
