I figure we could do with a few little games on the forum.

The rules are simple. Each post will have you making one wish of your own, and "granting" the wish of the previous poster.

The catch is, you have to try your best to ruin their wishes, so let your inner evil genius soar to new... um, depths.

Here is an example.

A: I wish I could live the rest of my life surrounded by chicks.

B: Wish granted! You are magically transformed into a chicken and will spend the rest of your days in a commercial egg farm.

I wish I had an airplane.

C: Wish granted! You get Da Vinci's flying machine, exactly as the blueprint shows. However, it can't actually fly.

You get the idea. Don't forget to say "Wish granted"!

And let's get things started!

I wish I had a pet turtle.

	Pretty simple.

Take a word or syllable (or a combination of the two) from the song title of the previous post and make a new song title. Remember to include the artist, or if it is traditional, to say so.

	Examples:

	> There's No Secrets This Year - Silversun Pickups

	becomes

	> No Way Back - Foo Fighters

	>If You Want Peace, Prepare For War - Children of Bodom

	becomes

	You - Bad Religion

Note: Titles that have swearing in them (this is not my beef) must be as mildly censored as possible. e.e (I hate to be that person)

Well, without further ado, let us start.

Welcome to Paradise - Green Day (Green Day Rock Band)

The way this game works is that the first person posts something like "If a cat eats cat food, then the cat will review the cat food online." Then, the next person has to take the "then" and turn it into an "if," like "If the cat reviews the cat food online, then the cat will be asked to be a cat food spokescat." Then the third poster would do "If the cat becomes a cat food spokescat, he'll want to develop his own brand of cat food" and so on and so forth.

I'll start:

The basic idea is to take the "idea" of the person above you, and post your game development plan for such a game, then post your own "idea". The aim is to make your game development plan the worst possible.

For example, a game about space (taking the concept very loosely!) could be an educational game about how astronauts communicate between Space and Earth, consisting of nothing more than ensuring your ship's communication systems are well-maintained and that the signal is clear.

Well, then!

What's your idea for a game about robots?

That's right, I'm makin' a game. Deal with it.

Here's how it's played

Someone posts the name of a song. The next person creates an RPG skill based on it. Here's an example:

"Blurry" --> Blinds all foes.

The rules are simple.

Song requirements:

Song Title

Artist(s) (optional)

Link to lyrics or except of lyrics (optional)

Be mindful of the songs you post. There are forum rules we must (try) to abide by.

Skill requirements:

It should be something that you would see as an in-game description of a skill. Things to consider are but not limited, too Scope, Element, and any special effects. Damage is arbitrary, but if you want to note that it's "average" hi-power", etc, that's fine as well.

Class (optional)- If you really want to get into it, post what character class uses the skill.

Making the skill just based on the song title is fine, but ideally should capture the theme or message of the song.

Maybe this game will help us come up with some interesting skills I'll start with an easy one:

"Rise Up"

If you've played or watched somebody play Will You Press The Button?, you know how the game works. You are presented with a scenario and something to balance out things (the scenario is goo, but the "something" is bad or vice versa).

EXAMPLES:

If you press the button, you can have a cake, but it will blow up the entire city of Detroit.

If you press the button, you will endure every form of suffering known to mankind and cannot die, but there will be world peace.

(For some reason, this didn't get into the original post?!?!) In this game, you will answer with either "yes" or "no". You can give your reasons, but you don't have to. After you give your answer and optional reason as to why you answered with what you did, give your own button for somebody else to push or not push.

I'll start with the first button.

If you press the button, you will get a Death Note, but the first name you must write is your best friend.

I recently remembered an old topic Tsarmina made that was about telling people about some pros and cons of yourself.

I've seen some active games recently, but I don't recall seeing one that actually let us "meet" each other. Especially the newer members, so I thought this would help amend that - even if it turns out to be a short topic before Kaz waves her mighty keys and locks the topic :3 (in a friendly way of course~)

=====================================

Introduction

This topic is to allow us to get to know each other a little better.

Each poster will have the chance to answer a question asked by the previous poster, and then give a question of their own for the next person.

Rules

- No spamming or off topic posts. This keeps teh "game" tidy and on topic.

- No offensive or insulting questions. This counts for questions such as "whos better, x or y" since this can cause alot of arguments and trouble.

- You can have brief chatter within the topic, as long as you answer/ask a question like stated. Adding an extension to the end of your post is fine such as;

answer to previous poster

currently asked question

(Oh hey, I watched that show too. It was really good!)

That is acceptable as long as the topic continues smoothly.

- Don't be a question/answer hog! If you answered a question, and then someone after you answer your question, then let some time pass before you answer again. This lets everyone get a chance to respond and lets us get to know more people. If a day has passed and no one has responded, then you may then answer again to keep the topic lively~

- No advertising or anything. Just keep the topic on topic please~

If someone doesn't understand teh topic, then please look over the previous posts to understand.

I hope this makes sense xD

==================================

If you don't know what a Would you rather questions is, they are questions with two options, and you have to pick one or the other.

If two questions are asked at the same time, The next person must answer both before asking his question.

I have a fun idea for a game (not that anyone plays 'em anymore). Pretty straightforward. One person name's the title of an existing game, and the next poster makes names a title of an obvious rip off.

Example:

Sonic the Hedgehog

Speedy the Armadillo

If it's an scourer game, please prove a brief synopsis of what the game is about so the next person can properly rip it off.

When ripping a game off, feel free to make a brief synoptic as well to really bring out what a carbon copy it is. Using the above example:

Speedy must journey forth to stop the evil Dr. Cyborg from turning the world's population into chickens.

Also feel free to put in your own projects so we can rip those off too.

And without further ado, here's the first game idea to steal:

Street Fighter Alpha

It's pretty simple. You click the link, Wright some text (it can be Miles long)... Better stop with the puns... OK, so you click the link, write some text, and paste the result link in here.

The RULES are:

You cannot enter any text besides the link, except if the text links to the link.

That's all.

If you want to add music you just need to write "(tunes)" before you enter any text, like this: "(tunes)I'm fine."

And it will come out something like this: http://objection.mrdictionary.net/go.php?n=8232179

Every sunday, I do my own at 6pm (Central time).

If anyone is interested in joining, there are links at the bottom of this post. If I get enough people who want to play more than once per week, I will surely have more sessions. If you're looking for closed to mid-open world, you'll want to head over to Marsigne's sessions. If you want complete open-world, you head over to mine.

Of course, you can do both of our sessions because your progress in Marsigne's will just be carried-over. And if anything isn't compatible, I'll have you change it but it'll only be changed for my session. You character is together but separate if that makes sense.

His is called Dungeons and Dragons

Mine is called Dungeons and Dragons: Fateless Destiny

We share the same server since our sessions happen at different times. If there was ever a conflict of time (which is unlikely), I'll just create a new server and invite everyone to that one.

No one really plays games anymore. Maybe this will change it. Simple enough.

The first person posts a simple premise for a story i.e. Earth is under attack by Aliens!, or John Every man must overcome all odds to lead his team to be sportball champions.

The next person posts an unexpected twist to the story. After that, this person has two options. If you want to keep adding twist to the story, you're all done. The next poster's job will be to add another twist. The second option will be to post your own story premise.

To keep the twists from going on endlessly, each story will be limited to 5 twists.<strike> Anyone who posts a 6th twist will be sent to a work camp.</strike>

To make things clear and simple please follow this format.

Story: Earth is under attack by Aliens!

Twist! They are led by Chuck Norris!

Then either:

Double Twist! Chuck Norris has secretly been an alien this whole time.

OR

Story: John Every man must overcome all odds to lead his team to be sportball champions.

Counting the twists as we go will make it easy to keep count.

====================================================================================================

Okay. I shall start

Story: A family takes a pleasant trip to the beach.

Mad Libs - who doesn't love those hilarity-filled wonders of partially-constructed sentences?

The rules are simple: The OP puts up a list of word types and people put up a word that matches the type. Once all word types have been filled out, I'll post the entire Mad Lib and somebody else will then follow those simple instructions! (To clarify, another person will then post a list of word types for a Mad Lib and the process continues on.)

Let's be civil, though. No swears or overly dirty things, please. This includes all words to fill in the blanks and all Mad Libs you decide to post.

Backstory

As the viscious army of Bleak Wind, their ranks filled with lizard men and the so called High Elf, their soldiers march on to Mournhammer, the warriors and conscripted civilians prepare for battle.

The injured King Nathaniel remains vigilant that his own army will succed in defending the castle. Despite this, he worries on the whereabouts of his daughter Rosa, his only heir.

Mournhammer, the great city on the Endrathisa continent, known well for its trade of fabrics and weaponry, it slowly became the enemy of the Bleak Wind armies, with Mournhammer slowly expanding its borders into Bleak Wind's stolen territory, Mournhammer slowly started to lose allies.

Races:

Human: Originally, there was no human race, but a single being known as Vessel, upon its death, split itself into a thousand pieces, from those pieces, the human race was born.

Scientifically, its currently proposed that Endrathisa is the native land of the humans, shared with the now near extinct Dwarven race.

Lizard : Also known as the Skrelten, the Lizard people are said to have originally been individuals of the other races, but became cursed and slowly transformed to their lizard state.

The Skulten are from Tidewell, a city on the Cursed Continent, Humans do not travel to such a place.

They worship no higher being as they are not dependant or interested on such things.

High Elf : The Elven race, said to have been around long before The Birth Of Humanity. High Elf worship a being known as Wish, Wish is said to have grown tired of the cold world and wanted something to watch over, so it created a race of people and the lands they would inhabit.

There were once multiple Elven races but the High Elves eradicated them all long ago for unexplainable reasons.

High Elves inhabit the Cursed Continent.

Dwarf: The Dwarven people are story tellers by nature and enjoy tales longer than their beards just as much as travel and adventure. Dwarves share Endrathisa with the Humans and are glad to do so, Dwarves love human culture and adopt much of it for themselves, so much so that they more or less have very little of their own.

The Dwarven race is now declining and much of this is thought to be because of their reckless nature.

Endrathisa:

Endrathisa is home to several cities, the most populated being Mournhammer.

Other popular places include: Saffron Town, now a mostly dwarven town once popular for its mining of steel. Lockwind, thousands of years worth of history, once said to be home to the great wizards who were constantly challenged by Vessel.

The Cursed Continent:

The closer you get to the Cursed Continent, the sicker you are said to become. At least for Humans, Dwarven folk are known to have made their way there and back, usually mostly alive.

The skies become grey and the sight of large dome like structures fill the horizon. The Dwarven adventurers can't explain them.

Hopefully, this takes off, seems like the Role Playing interest has been dead for a while (not much interest in my previous topic seeing if anyone is up for such things, but maybe this time!)

If ya'll need any answers for things, feel free to ask, especially on the topic of developing the setting, I love that stuff!

I haven't done this sort of thing in literal years, so forgive me if I left out something that would be deemed important or traditional

For this game, you come up with a "in my day" or "when I was your age" relating to what the previous poster said. For example, as a response to "in my day, we couldn't brush our hair" you could put "well, in my day, we didn't even HAVE hair!" I'll start.

When I was your age, there were no computers. We had to make RPG games by hand!

Hey, PurplePhantom, here, with an acceptable game! Hopefully.

The rules are simple. One person makes a pun, another person responds with a pun and so on and so on and Scooby-Dooby-Dooby.
