Oh my word. Making these games has always been an exciting and refreshing experience for me. I mean, what's life without a little challenge to spark the imagination, right? Well I'm hurting for constructive ideas this time around. What is it? Does this mean my IIAW days are over? I'm not one to give up easily. In fact, I pride myself in accepting and completing challenges. A lot of my inspiration spurs from visual stimuli, and so far, I've at least got some mapping done. Screenshots: And that's all I really have so far... other than some very vague ideas as to what I want to do. Oh the joys of the creation process... Also, silence, as you know, is the theme. This has been part of the challenge for me. For some reason, all of my idea feel too unoriginal when it comes to this theme. Thanks Jackus. XD

Sound is useful to emphasize silence anyway . In my project I will add sound at the end if I have some time but it's in my list of optionnal features

From where I stand, I think it's more fruitful not to consider silence as the "be all, do all" focus here: silence is the theme, yes, but I think it's easier to look at silence being the ground for your game rather than the walls and the roof. Like, if you think about it, silence can be thought of abstractly like thus: "Can the sins of humanity be forgiven?" "..." The lack of words (and therefore the silence) speaks a lot towards the question, but the question is what usually draws your eyes rather than the response. The point is that if you're worried about finding an idea that is acceptable for your standards, than it would be easier to just use silence as something underneath whatever idea you decide to put on top of it: it should lead back to silence if you try to get to the root of it, but it doesn't have to be silence at first glance. Hope that helps.

It's going to be interesting to see what many will come up with the Silence is golden rule :3 I wouldn't be surprised if some games will have a similar path xD Uniqueness will be the key~

I'm also having a hard time with the theme xD But I managed to add it to the story quite well. My only problem is how to tie it with gameplay... :3

Memories... ^^ I really loved the battle system in this game. A strategy and set of skills was a key to succeed. Elements were absolutely important as not only more damage, but more turns you could get if using them correctly. Wrong set of skills could result in easily getting killed even by random encounters. What I didn't liked though, were the later-stages passive skills, that were making you immune to physical/elements/ailments ~ and only skills with 'Almighty' element were effective. ~ So later the elements were not important, as you could just simply use almighty skills, where it was not possible to have resist on that. The secret bosses were still a challenge there ~ but I'd rather say, that they were not that hard, but it took some time to kill them. Skill Assignment System was a really nice feature in my opinion, because it forced players to think and plan a strategy ~ not just go to battle and have a wall of skills. Personally I liked all characters ~ kinda except Sera ~ She was kind of boring and stuff. =P The story is kind of weird ~ but it's really nice. The amount of plot twists in the second game is pretty surprising. I admit, that I felt kinda 'lost' sometimes and didn't know what's happening ~ but generally it's a really enjoyable plot. I don't know about the references as I haven't played any SMT games besides Digital Devil Saga games, so it's hard for me to compare anything. =P And the music ~ Now that's one of the things I've liked the most ~ It's absolutely great! Despite the fact, that I like RPG's I can get pretty quickly bored of them. For example I've played FF X and FF X-2 ~ I've enjoyed both, but never managed to fully complete them. I just got bored of them for some reason. Digital Devil Saga however, I've completed both games and I really loved them. =3 These games have great gameplay, balancing (except end-game-skills), plot and music ~ Pure awesomeness. =3
