  1. Well, I'm 41 now. Getting old sucks! Chronic Fatigue has me bedridden most of the time & has ruined my entire sleep schedule. At least I've lived long enough to watch the world burn & wokeness rot society from the inside out ☹️.

It does, I myself am in a not too good condition. 🙁 And yeah, it do be like that.

I hope you had a happy birthday regardless.

It certainly feels that way when you have Asthma, Chronic Fatigue, no upper teeth, and can barely drag yourself out of your own home, much less out of bed. Feels like I'm 20 years older than I'm supposed to.

Nope! My local Walmart ruined it with their perpetual stupidity. It's like the morons running it are getting stupider and stupider each month. But thank you!

And it took a turn for the worse! I had to "Old Yeller" my old laptop. Years of work with RPG Maker & SMBX down the drain. Everything that meant anything to me was on that hard drive. I am now officially dead inside. I managed to salvage the hard drive, heard you can make them into external hard drives & can retrieve the files on them, if the hard drive isn't too damaged.

However, are you really that age, or is the magic gate system playing mind games with you?

Ya know, Windows 10 corrupted the only HDD option I had for my more capable PC, so I know exactly what you're dealing with. I don't even have a SATA to USB option for (potential) data retrieval.

  4. Yay. I turned 39 today. Another year old, another year closer to the grave.

      I turned 36 at 1:06am today.

Another 20 and we are officially old.

      Ah, here's a celebratory gift:

      Enjoy!

  5. For the record, RMMZ, despite stating that Windows 8.1 is the minimum requirement, does actually work on Windows 7! Both the editor & even a test play worked fine, although I did experience some slowdown during battle, including battle animations. So if you're still using Win7, you're not excluded from using it. Just make sure you have good hardware (processor, graphics card, RAM, etc.)

    1. AVGB;KBGaming

      AVGB;KBGaming

So, it's likely that I'll need better hardware or at least a dedicated GPU.

Still, this is good to know.

  6. Well, I turned 38 today. Yippee-ki-yay! My mom visited me today, without wearing a mask! I have asthma so if I catch the Doomsday Virus, I'm a goner.

Not-so-Fun Fact: Seems the Covid-19 virus is a hybrid viral bio weapon consisting of at least SARS & HIV. That means severe & permanent lung damage as well as the destruction of your immune system, which is probably why people are either getting reinfected, or the virus goes into remission like Herpes & can flare back up later, which only seems like a reinfection, but its really that you can't develop antibodies for it because of the HIV aspect of it.

Nobody likes a Negative Nancy :(

As for the blame game, think of it this way. What if someone close to you was murdered? Wouldn't you want to know who was responsible for it? Even if you can't do something about it, knowing who it was & knowing that justice was brought down upon them gives CLOSURE. We need closure for this pandemic. We got reminded that China & Communism can never be trusted. They have always been the enemy, not just against the US, but all of humanity.

    3. AVGB;KBGaming

      AVGB;KBGaming

What about a Realistic Rachel? Underappreciated as well.

However, getting closure is just as underappreciated, and I have lots of closure I'll never get due to various reasons though most of them being related to power-tripping admin/moderators/banker-bought-political puppets && policy enforcers...

We need to take that closure for ourselves and end the reign of government altogether. The USA was founded on Anarchist principles (yup one hundred percent true); we need to go back to those principles and stick to them, if we want to live truly free. The price of true freedom? Constant vigilance.

    4. Kayzee

      Kayzee

@Animebryan Is that what 'closure' means to you then? Sounds like an excuse not to have to think of it anymore or do anything else about it to me. If someone close to me was murdered deliberately by an individual person, sure I would want to know who. I would even grant you I would want to know who if it was due to someone's gross negligence or stupidity. But that doesn't mean I am willing to blame someone without any real evidence they are involved just because I want some kind of 'closure'. Especially someone I know won't actually face any kind of justice for it.

What you are talking about doesn't seem much like closure to me. Seems to me like what you want a devil you can blame for everything great and small. And don't get me wrong, there are plenty of reasons to dislike China & Communism. But the enemy of all of humanity? That tittle is more then they deserve. If humanity has one great enemy, it's their own delusions.

@PhoenixSoul Anarchism starts with you ya know, not the government. The real price of true freedom is the realization that you are already free.

  7. Yay! I'm 37 Today (I'm getting older...)

  9. Just got back from the store having chest pains, trouble breathing, panicking & heading to the hospital. If I die from a heart attack I just to say thank you to the RPG Maker community for all its done to help me pursue my lifelong dream of becoming a game designer, event though I never got to produce something to be proud of.

A lot of people tend to believe that Anxiety disorders are fake and people should just 'suck it up'...

I know someone who died from anxiety attack complications, likely the culprits are the idiots who claim that mental illnesses are created by individuals who want this so-called 'free pass' thing that doesn't really exist.

I'm just glad you're on the mend, or seem to be.

    3. Animebryan

      Animebryan

That's disheartening to hear. I hope my primary doctor doesn't pull that crap with me. This is anything but a free pass. My depression took a turn for the worse earlier. I couldn't feel anything in regards to feeling happy or even mentally normal. It was so bad that I sharpened my knife & started cutting my arms (they're just scratches). I finally snapped out of it (not by my free will). If my mental health continues to diminish further I may not be around for much longer.

    4. Kayzee

      Kayzee

I don't think most people realize there is a difference between, say, feeling sad and being clinically depressed. Clinical depression isn't just feeling bad, it's more or less being completely unable to feel anything but bad because your ability to feel anything but bad is broken. I honestly think the reason people say things about how you should 'suck it up'  don't what to admit that is possible, because it's just that damn terrifying of a concept. Heck so many people suffering form problems like that don't want to admit that's whats happening either and never ask for the help they need.

Are there people who try and fake it to get a 'free pass' of some sort? Of course there are. But the blunt truth is that human beings are beautiful chaotic machines the same as anything else. They can be buggy and problem prone, they can get malware and viruses, and sometimes they unexpectedly crash. Sometimes they need help, and that's okay. It isn't their fault. And if they look I am sure there are people somewhere who can help, if only a little bit.

I donno if saying all that will help or hurt, but I think it helps me sometimes to remember that when I seem like I am falling in a dark abyss with no escape, it's probably a glitch. That I might just not be seeing what's really there. That there is probobly is a way out I am not seeing. And that doesn't solve the problem, but it always keeps me from thinking of doing something I may regret on impulse.

  10. My laptop is out of commission again, so I'm on hiatus for probably several months to a year, however long it takes to save up the table-scraps of money (no income) to fix or replace it.

  11. Back on hiatus again. Getting sick of plugin errors & freezing bugs!

Just got back from the hospital. They say nothing is wrong with my heart, but they didn't even find the cause of my chest pain & have done nothing to alleviate the pain. Still feels like I'm going to have a heart attack at any time.

      Chaosian

Well... it's not that big of a loss. It's hard to make procedural generation to feel meaningful. Nobody plays Skyrim for the radiant quests, nobody praises the Binding of Isaac for its level design.

    3. Animebryan

      Animebryan

@Tarq: As a tool (Plugin). The main dungeon I was working on in Ace was a randomly generated 200 floor dungeon. When I switched to MV, I was hoping to work on it in MV.

    4. Animebryan

      Animebryan

@Chaosian: Actually, I do praise The Binding of Isaac for having randomly generated dungeons. That's what gives it so much replay value. Every run is totally different from a previous run, so it keeps you on your toes every time.

You'd better go get an eyepatch. And more than a few swords. Fuhrer.

    3. Animebryan

      Animebryan

Actually, as a matter of fact, I do have an eyepatch (for a previous medical reason, Iritis), however, this isn't a reference to FMA. If each of us where to look deeper into ourselves we would find that we would relate to at least 1 or more of the 7 deadly sins. Of the 7, Wrath is the one I most relate to, simply because of my psychotic, sadistic, unmerciful, vengeful temper.

At the apartments I live at they just finished renovating the computer lab so now I can get on the internet more often now or I just visit 1 of the 2 libraries I can go to, course none of that matters now. I can't restart VX Ace until I get a new computer or fix my laptop.

  18. As of Feb. 27 2014 I will be going on a 1 or 2 month hiatus from RPG Maker. This is due to lack of progress with some problems as well as the stress it's causing & the effect it's having on my heart health. If anyone still wants to help with any of my various topics please feel free to do so.

Computer tricks the body into thinking that it's not tired. Set up a timer if you feel like making your game... and strictly follow it. 30mins? 1hour? It's not much, I know. But at least you know that you're not overdoing it. It's your call.

@Euphoria337: It is supposed to be fun & relaxing, but not so much when my creative mind clashes with the programs stifling limitations. It doesn't naturally give the user full control over some features like vehicle control over terrain (how could Enterbrain not think of these things!)
