    Hey, I was woundering. I wanted to make a skill that causes a set amount of damage to a/all foes. EX: v[2] if set to 50, would reduce a/all foes hp by 50%. Can this be done? Thanks. :3

    I can do this with just common events. I've only been using this for about a few month and I love it. I will say though to try your best to utilize the common events thing as well as switched and variables. I made a knock of AP system doing that. It takes a while though. But it's worth it... For me...
  3. Hello all. This here blog if for my custom made Final Fantasy Title Screens. I will soon be taking requests after like the 6th or 7th title screen I make. Here is one I made for FF XIII. One is for your desktop, specifically one that has a resolution of 1600x900 px. The other is for the RPG maker vx ace program which is 544x416 px. Well... Here you go.   6. Look, though this argument seems pretty illogical based on the idea of you making a game. I would have to say that you will never learn until you actually make the effort to do it your self. Not saying you shouldn't ask for help. (That's what teachers are and do, it's their job.) But, You can only learn if you make the effort to try and code yourself. Get text books, etc... And to the guy who actually makes the scripts. Even if he is using his disabilities as an excuse, and the fact that you work with people with disabilities is totally irrelevant because: You don't know what his disability is, nor how severe it is. and 2) An Excuse isn't a bad thing. The meaning of an excuse is to explain ones reasoning for action or thought. It's not a bad thing at all. However, their is a difference between logical good excuse and a totally useless one. and 3) If you are patient enough to make the script, than you also have to be conscience of explaining what you developed without them having to ask in the first place. It would save you the trouble of explaining it later on rather than them asking you, your still supposed to. It's fundamental and basic business skills. No one is going to buy something from anyone who doesn't say what the product is all about, that's why they make manuals in their product. Let alone someone who doesn't want to explain it. Another thing: To Veteran troll: You don't really get paid much making video games, just saying. Though it could be a career, it's also a hobby. Keep that in mind. I am a programmer myself. I design websites, and learned Java and PHP, networking. I make computers to, and even program my own video games. RPG maker to me is more of a template. You can learn a lot from it, don't get me wrong. But you have to eventually leave that too. I use RPG maker whenever I'm super board and don't feel like heavy programming. heh. Just an advice for you in the future.

    Quick question: When I installed the formar atb script, with the tenkentai script, all is well until the user. (Ally.) Is attacking. S/he does nothing. Any pointers as of what I should do would be greatly appreciated.

    Oh, that's fine. Theirs equipment scripts that let you have added effects, so I dont think that'll be trouble at all. Thanks again, Grand High Wizard.

    Oh, no. It's Just an example. It's just I wanted to make materia that would reduce such negative effects instead of increasing them. FDR is Floor Damage. MCR (i think) is MP cost Rate. When I make those said materia, it would increase the effect rather than decrease. Those are just examples of what seems to be bugging me. I got around it by altering the script a decent amount. There are a few steps I used: 1. On line 911, change " result + materia_sparam_plus(param_id) " to " result + materia_sparam_plus(param_id) + materia_sparam_minus(param_id)" 2. Change " def materia_sparam_plus(param_id) result = 0 all_materias.compact.each do |materia| result += (materia.level * 10) if materia_sparam_value(materia, param_id) end result end " to " def materia_sparam_plus(param_id) result = 0 all_materias.compact.each do |materia| result += (materia.level * 10) if materia_sparam_plus_value(materia, param_id) end result end ". Notice the _plus after sparam. 3. Copy " def materia_sparam_plus(param_id) result = 0 all_materias.compact.each do |materia| result += (materia.level * 10) if materia_sparam_plus_value(materia, param_id) end result end " on lines 1091 to 1097, paste a copy directly below, and change it to " def materia_sparam_minus(param_id) result = 0 all_materias.compact.each do |materia| result -= (materia.level * 10) if materia_sparam_minus_value(materia, param_id) end result end ". Notice the sign after the second "result" is changed, and _plus after sparam is now _minus . 3. Change line 1113 from " def materia_sparam_value(materia, param_id) " to " def materia_sparam_plus_value(materia, param_id) ". 4. Copy this whole array and paste another directly below it. Change the name of this array to " def materia_sparam_minus_value(materia, param_id) ". 5. In the first array delete all the entries that you do not want to have a positive value for. Eg If you don't want FDR to increase through materia then you can delete the "FDR Plus" line. 6. In the second array ("minus_value") delete any entries you don't want to decrease through materia, and change the text in quotation marks for the rest from "XYZ Plus" to "XYZ Minus". Make sure the last entry in each array doesn't have | | at the end of it. This should allow you to have materia that increase and decrease the sparam values. This could be applied to the other parameters too if so desired. Edited to make it work It worked, thank you sir.

    Aw, don't be so negative, have confidence your self. If you believe your weak, than you wont stop being weak till you develop the belief that your strong. You could do it. It's up to you to unlock that potential within. You can do it dude.

    Uh, sorry to bother kind sir. This is a nice script. I like it. But my concern is with the sparam parameters. For example with 'FDR plus', it increases the floor damage given. But see, why would anyone use a materia like that. That causes more harm and no positive side. I was hoping to find a FDR down. Instead of Plus. Things that are negative should not be increasing. So hopefully you figure that out, or someone else would. Thanks.
