Jonnie91 replied to Necromedes's topic in Music Room
It's actually recorded dry, (no effects) so you can add in your own if you'd prefer. So although it is DESIGNED for more of the bigger battle tracks, with a little work it can be used for different tracks but tbh, I think that EW is a relatively decent product, whether it's worth the LARGE amount of money you spent, mehh that's debatable. There are many other alternatives that you COULD find, However, for the guitars, I do go to EW stuff for the less "battle Track" sounds. -

I actually have MInistry of Rock If you're looking for electric guitars, as in heavier guitars I'd highly suggest Shreddage II This is one i use all the time, and it is't overpriced either. With regards to iLok the only thing that stops me from purchasing their other libraries is how much of a memory hog it is, I've personally never found any issues with their products, when in conjunction with iLok, as some of my other libraries also use it. -

Glad you appreciate my reply, it's not the most easiest field to get into, with the amount of money you Do spend lol I do own the EW Prodcuts, the iLok has actually improved a lot with the release of iLok 2. The reason why things like this are occuring is because of people who say: That's why iLok has to exist. Cause people want to crack software and not pay the developers for the hard work they do. I use East West, iLok is relatively simple to get through, but if you are REALLY not wanting to deal with that cause it can get a little annoying, and you're looking for quality, might I make a couple of suggestions on the vocal libraries: Shevannai - This is just a beautiful and haunting library. ABSOLUTELY GORGOUS Apocalypse Elements - This is my go to battle track percussion! Absolutely mad Requiem Light - Another choir library which is just stunning. 8Dio Vocal Bundle - Another selection of beautiful voices (but it IS a little more pricey) Realivox Blue - Another library, she can do most things, and she can be incredibly haunting, also the added bonus of being able to write lyrics, and she'll sing them I mainly stuck with the Vocal Libraries, as that's what you mentioned you were looking for but there are MANY others that I can suggest and definately support 100%. Once again, there are other libraries, the ones above the libraries from companies I know well, and use in my own compositions -

A few questions for you: 1. What specs are your PC, if you wanna do decent music production (such as full Orchestral pieces) it requires you to have a fast PC to compose, otherwise you're going to have pops, cracks and HELL. If you want to use something such as East West, you need at LEAST a Quad Core Processor with a bare minimum of 8GB of RAM. Graphics card is rather unimportant for Music Production. Even with the above spec, you'll still have times when you'll struggle. My PC is running as a Quad Core i7 @ 4.2GHz and that sometimes has a problem with my more heavier tracks. 2. What do you class as "quality". EW is great and all, but is over $400+ might I suggest something cheaper such as: Garritan Personal Orchestra or if you're not one for composing full Orchestras maybe something more Garritan Instant Orchestra? It's got some decent quality, and some of my older tracks are created with it. Apart from that you could easily use DSK Music's Instruments, they are pretty cool,if you're REALLY on a tight budget. 3. DO NOT WHATEVER YOU DO USE A LAPTOP FOR MUSIC PRODUCTION. I learnt this the hard way, I had a decent laptop, and it was so hot that it nearly fried the computer cause I tried to compose orchestral music on it... Also on top of that you need to think on the following: Audio Interface - For midi input Midi Keyboard - For adding notes in (not a necessity but it really makes life easier and...I think i'm done lol There is an AWFUL lot of things that you need to know, and do before you consider purchasing software, in the last year alone I've spent over 2000 in instrumentation... If you're not thinking of doing music, all the time, might I suggest commissioning a lovely musician to help you out even if it's just arranging your pieces, with better instruments, that's something that most musicians are happy to do. -

Wanda - Simply an adventure released NOW! (9.99$ on Steam)
Jonnie91 replied to HaruAkira's topic in Completed Games
Does it look interesting enough, interesting is a little bit of an understatement. It's looking beautiful, why is it whenever I see more of your work, I just want to see more. -
If you don't have the Steam copy of VXAce than you can now download the VXAN Map Pack here: http://1drv.ms/1AU6GnO
-
I thought it would take as much work as it does with Meiko V3 which is the vocaloid I used for one of my other tracks. So I know the feeling of having to fiddle like anything with the dynamics and the pitching they take a good load of work, but if they work they can sound amazing Yeah I brought it via download, thankfully I'm from the UK
-
and now I'm buying Avanna That is some good work, Vocaloids can be tough to work with, but this sounds great Great work, and I look forward to seeing more
-
-
The maps look awesome and your songs are incredible but for some reason, i cant download the pack on steam...

-
Do you own RPG Maker on Steam? If so that's wierd, however if you don't own it on steam, I'll be uploading it to here soon, just gotta make a few changes first

-
Oh so the reason i cant download ressource packs and stuff like that on steam is because i bought RM on rpgmakerweb? Well thats unpleasant...
I guess ill have to wait until you upload it here. Thanks for replying to my comment.

Unveil — Survival Simulator (Now Moddable)
Jonnie91 replied to PabloNeirotti's topic in Completed Games
Thank you for your kind words! There is a lot of effort put into this indeed. This will be a commercial project. The revenue will be used to pay for 2D artists and composers to do magic on the game aesthetics, music and sounds . This is a very ambitious project and I cannot complete it alone. Do stick around and follow the project! I am sure you will have tons of fun with it Well if your ever in need of Music then feel free to send me a PM, and we can talk it over This project is something I've been iintriguedby since I saw it over on RMW...Great stuff and I'm glad that you'll be able to get some money for the amount of great work you've done!- 101 replies

Unveil — Survival Simulator (Now Moddable)
Jonnie91 replied to PabloNeirotti's topic in Completed Games
I have to say a great big congratulations for getting this project up and running, not many people would think to use RPG Maker to make something as advance, and just damn beautiful as this is currently looking. You have a resounding yes from me. Might I ask whether this is going to be a free project or whether this is a commercial project!- 101 replies

"Khas Awesome Lighting Effects" Script help.
Jonnie91 replied to Misery Hisan's topic in Programming
okay, first of all, it would be really helpful if you could post a link to where you downloaded the project, also a link to the script would also be brilliant! This would mean that a scripter can give you a hand. As far as I can tell without knowing much about this particular script, the script requires an image which I'm assuming is called Light, which needs to be placed inside the Graphics/Lighting/Light folder of YOUR project (or the project you put the script into) this will solve your error.) -
Spirit Timer
Jonnie91 replied to Jonnie91's topic in Archived Games -Projects that have been inactive for 12 months are stored here.
Nope, not dead at all far from it! Just all three of us are very very busy, I've had a large selection of commissions as has the artist, and the spriter/eventer has been very busy with his full time job as well Ironically, I've just finished another track and map for Spirit Timer which sounds a little bit like this: You can also see an image of the map, yes it's blurred for a reason- 51 replies

My go to "BIG percussion" is Apocalypse Elements by Soundiron combined that with IL Maximus helps Also, if you want percussion to be big and powerful, and you want it to take the forefront, then using EQ sculpt it out. I use the Parametric EQ2 from FL Studio, as it's got a great visual representation so you can SEE where the sounds are positioned and adjust accordingly. There's really no right answer here, so I'm sure one of my other fellow artists can give another example but I do love my Soundiron's content, and what's even better... it's on sale at the moment
