June ReStaff Witchcraft and Fantasy 2014!

You need to check the readmes that are included; for my music track you need to purchase a licence from me (however for everyone else you need to check their readme)

    REQUEST: horror SE

Well most of it can be found on freesound.org however, for a little girl singing, that's something I can get done in a few seconds How creepy do you want the little girls singing to be

Please don't advertise your own work on someone elses thread. People can see a link to your resources. they can find it this way; please don't hijack other peoples thread

    Soundcloud embed issue

This is part of the actual forum, no more than 2 media links can be posted in the same thread, It happens with youtube video's as well!. I think there is a good reason for it to be only two (but for stuff that we do it makes it a little bit harder )

    Battle Theme

I'm obviously guessing, but it sounds like he's using either Sibelius or Finale or something along thoose lines, as it's quite a dry tracks. (I'm completely guessing). Back to the pieces, The composition itself is excellent, a little bit of tweaking inside a DAW to give a little bit more reverb on the Guitar would be good. Apart from that I think it's pretty good.
  6. I recently purchased Adobe Creative Cloud...(purely because i used PS and Ae previously and knew that Auditon would help with the music, so with the Creative Cloud (for those that don't know) is Adobe Illustrator, which is basically a Vector program, now as I have absolutely no during capabilty, I thought I'd try my hand at "Vector Drawing"...or w/e the correct term is... So I'll post my interesting adventures of Vector based drawings starting with this owl: I have NO idea whether it's any good, there are a few errors but I thought it looked cute Let me know what you think, and I'll see if I can attempt to do more soon!

    Voice Files Request

The thing is, Noise removal is a brilliant tool, but you must be careful There was a little bit too much NR on that file, you need to do a little bit more, but create a new noise profile, whilst selecting the slight hissing sound you hear between words.

    Voice Files Request

First of all please don't double post, as that's against the forum rules, you can use the edit post to add more information With regards to the audio, if you do a little bit of cleaning up with Audacity, and the Noise removal, it should improve it enough for you to use it

    Voice Files Request

How low quality is the recordings you've got? As they can be fiddled around with to improve the quality/volume? Have you got a sample of what you have at current?

    Hello World

Nope the recruitment forum isn't dead, it's just only the mods can reply to the thread. Anyone who is interested in joining up for recruitment, has to send you a PM, if you've not recieved a PM, assume no one is currently interested at this time Unfortunately, in the RM Community, it's more difficult to get people to help you out, especially if you are new and inexperienced. What I would highly suggest is to get as much done on your own, so you have something to show for it, as I have (from experience) worked on projects where people have just joined, and after a few weeks they give up. There are many tutorials around here that can help you learn how to do things when it comes to RPG Maker, best way to learn is to do it

    Music Feedback Thread

@King Madness: Very simplistic, but still really catchy, I certainly enjoyed it @Exias: I also can hear, some subtle sounds in the first 10 seconds, but I think that might just be the reverb! It suits the theme perfectly. I love it. I also agree with King Madness, I do NOT think percussion would suit this piece in any way shape or form. I feel that the guitar has enough of a percussive strike to it. It doesn't need any more. The crescendo was a perfect ending in my opinion. I'd love some feedback on this battle track I recently wrote: Using some new samples, which I recently upgraded Also, whilst I'm here, I'd love to get some feedback on this rather creepy piece as well:

Would like to Learn Basics, but where to start?

The thing with music, is that it's VERY dependent on the composer, there is no right and write or wrong answer, there are a few general rules and ideas that you can follow, but music is a form of expression to many. The basics of learning music, are really quite theory based, knowing there are only 12 notes that you have to your use, and that certain intervals can evoke certain emotions. and certain frequencies can do that as well. There is soo much that you can learn and hundreds of books on the matter. At the end of the day, the best thing to do, is just try it out go with it. Think what you want things to feel/sound like and just try things out Get yourself a copy of some music software, and just try it out As Theo said above, a good start is indeed to do remixes, that can certainly help to get your confidence, and see how the "professionals" do it
