  2. Two of the common enemy sprites- the imperial officer & imperial regular. Still touching up the details on the officer's uniform; I'm also thinking that gameplay wise, the officer's role will be more to provide buffs to allies, though he'll be armed with a ceremonial sword as well as some basic "magic" abilities (in-universe, biotic powers that are artificially simulated using a special resource, i.e element zero) Thank you! I don't think there are very many modern/sci fi RPGs out there in the RM community (though there's bound to be a few I haven't heard of). Luzi's RG project does have a tank and mechs somewhere in there though. Thanks to EpicFile & Hirei for the compliments as well ^^

Been a while since I've updated things here, mostly because pixel art's been on hold for some time ;-; Still plenty of sketches and such to dump, but I'll start off with Axel's battler sprite: w/o any use of templates; getting the base idle sprite drawn turned out to be less problematic than expected (though I wasn't necessarily aiming for the cutesy style haha), but I fear the harder part will be the animations which to me is totally uncharted territory ):

    sdsgsfg;; - I didn't know you could scan ink and have the lines turn out so well digitally, that's something I'll have to try sometime

  6. Progress on the next vehicle, the M13E2 Ezekiel Assault Tank - a medium tank designed for AOE ability & steady damage. Rocket/missile pods have yet to be added; also lazily collaged the concept material. The illustration is a little off in terms of proportioning & feature placement, so I'm combining the aspects from both the pencil sketch and the 3D model.

I tend to find that taking two or three different artists/styles as inspiration goes a long way when it comes to improving; this was actually one of my first attempts at vehicle/machinery spriting though some of the art I found for reference turned out to be really helpful. Thanks for the words though, good luck to you on your art ^^ Thank you - I don't think I can dedicate to a project at the moment, but feel free to pm details for individual commissions, I should be able to get a few done on the side. Animating pixels is honestly something I haven't tried yet but I'll definitely start doing it for these vehicle (and character) sprites in the future!
