    Well, I've managed to sidestep the problem by converting all the music files to .wav. I think it works flawlessly now. Thanks for the help anyway.

    Well, I just reinstalled my sound card driver (Realtek) and that didn't solve the problem. My sound card is probably onboard since I'm on a laptop.
