Problems With Hime's "Learn Skill Shop" Script
Axio Belmot replied to Axio Belmot's topic in Programming
Um, you ever done something really dumb? Went into scripts for my current project and went to put them in a new one to test for compatibility issues as you suggested, when I realized my mistake: I had put all the scripts under "Main Processes" instead of "Materials". I am a fricken' moron. Problem fixed, everything works without issue. -
Perfect, thanks man

Seems to work fine, thanks! If anything goes wrong in the future or I have another question I'll ask for the mods to re-open this thread. (Mods, that's your cue to close this )

Not able to test ATM, will try it tonight. EDIT: Works perfectly, thanks! Feel free to close this, mods.

Sorry, had to leave. What do I do with that script? Just put it where I would put any other script?

And no, I went into the status window after the fight, and that is the actual new Max HP value.

I doubt it would be anything event related, as his Max HP is fine while at level 1. And yes, he has the correct class and I did confirm the change.
-
I have. Nothing of the sort.

Both links gave me errors. -
I tested this out, and I've found 2 problems. 1) Instead of saying the user doesn't receive any healing when the skill is used on self, it says "Took no damage." It's just a small thing, but... 2) Since this method runs off of elements, it only works if input in the "damage" section of skills, so I can;t use the "effects" section to recover a percentage of health. (This could be solved if anyone can give me a formula for percentage of health restored)

If you get a good scripter, one thing you could do is something from the Mario and Luigi RPG series, and if you cast a spell close to an enemy before it actually touches you, it gets reduced HP when the battle starts.

I kinda like the default guard. Seems useless, but every now and then I'll run into an RPG without the ability to skip a turn and do nothing, and it's soooo annoying.
