  1. 1. I'll put that into my to-do list (which is looooong). 2. I've already changed this in my version of the game, so expect this to not be a problem in the finished game. 3. Yes, there will be both human and non-human civilizations which you can meet. 4. Of course, there will be a story to the whole thing, so the goal thing will tie into that. You will meet other people/aliens fairly regularly, and the story will be revealed as you travel.

I'd say the weakest one is the inside of the house, with not much going on at all at the bottom of the house. I'm almost inclined to say that the blue hallway is the best one, or at least the most interesting one.

I would love to make it longer, but I just don't have the time to do it. Just making this 1 hour game in the quality I demand of myself took me almost a year. There's also the fact that I tend to make games that doesn't take me years to finish, because honestly I just tire of making the same game for longer than a year. I'll be making more games though, so there's always that to look forward to.

The download is updated. I've been improving the ambient sounds and general BGS of the game (alot), I've also made small improvements (hopefully) in a lot of old areas, like adding creatures to the jungle, made some small changes to the intro, and a couple of other things. Basically I've tried to make the demo as good as it can possibly be. Apart from that, I've haven't really added much new stuff (finished the 3rd dream), but what's there should be pretty much the same quality through the whole thing. If not, feel free to tell me. I'm feeling good about this release.

The last week I haven't actually added much new stuff. Instead I have been working on a area that I love in horror games. Ambient sounds. If you ask me, this is the difference between a good horror and a great horror. It's the kind of sound that nobody will ever thank you for adding, but it adds SO much to the experience. Try playing virtually any great horror game without the sound and you will see what I mean. I just love those distant moans and groans, buildings that creak and insects that buzz in the background.
  12. Thank you for the feedback, SpookyMothman. About the problem with the 1st boss, I managed to recreate the problem you had, and I will fix the problem and upload the fixed version of the game And about the random freezing, I suspect it's one of the scripts slowing the game down. I will try to remove some and see if it helps. The massive amount of events that the farming and animals require probably doesn't help, either. For now I removed weather effects and a couple of events here and there. I will have to work on this for the next release Glad you liked the game! And here's the fixed version (also in 1st post now): http://www.mediafire.com/download/kat9d1fec6kbj9i/Reap_and_Sow_R7Fixed.zip
  13. It's been quite a while since something happened on this front, hasn't it? Sometimes I just need to take a break on certain stuff, especially huge projects like this one. Sorry about that. However, now it's time for a new release. I just uploaded a new demo. So what's new? To be honest, I barely remember what was even in the last release. The most apparent change is probably that I made some major changes to the sprites of the villagers and main character, which was a ton of work (there's still one unchanged sprite when the main character is carrying something, you'll have to excuse that for now). I know that there are tons of changes to villager dialogue, and I'll probably change it even more in later releases. There's also a new building that you can build on your farm, given you have the resources and money required! There's a whole new shop just to get these resources and building, too. There's also new animals you can get on the farm (I think you couldn't get cows in the last release, right? And boars?), along with new plants and recipes. Ofcourse, the dream world, while still far from in a completed state, has some new stuff as well. There are probably other new stuff that I just forgot to mention, you'll just have to see for yourself. It feels good to finally have something new to show on this project after more than 6 months of nothing. Here's a download link, I'll also update the download link in the first post. http://www.mediafire.com/download/xg2h9ex2jw7bgyu/Reap_and_Sow_Release7.zip Hopefully not everyone have forgot about this game. If you have, maybe this will be a pleasant surprise? In releases further along the path, I plan to link the dreamworld and real world more, one thought I've had is that you need to use resources you gather in the real world as a sort of "sacrifice" to unlock new dreams. This would make it so that you actually have to further your progress in the real world, and you can't just ignore your farm while getting further and further in the dreams. This change is probably for a later date, though, since I believe for now people might like to be able to test out the dreamworld without having to get everything on your farm and vice versa.

Thank you for the feedback, your thoughts pretty much mirror mine at this time. I've actually already made some of the changes you've suggested. Dream 1: I'll change the sound to something appropriate. Does the green arrow damage immersion? Is that why you noted it? Dream 2: Already made major changes to both the puzzle and some dead-end passages and changed where the entrance is to the house. I also think I've fixed the bug. It's good to know your thoughts were the same as mine, that makes it certain I made the right changes. I also added some major stuff to this dream to make it scarier, it just felt like a long corridor right now. Dream 3: Save added, and I'm currently working on making this dream longer, along with some changes to the first part (the one that is in the demo. I removed the animation when you go into the door and changed sounds, music and some visual effects). The animation just felt really inappropiate, and ruined immersion, along with some of the sounds being kinda silly, and the music too "rocky". I've added text to when you examine objects, that should add some interactivity. I'll look stuff over at a later date and maybe add some new stuff that you can interact with. I'll add the changes to the demo in a couple of days time, I would love to hear your thougts on it then.
