So I'm working on a trading card game, and I've started the process of creating the card graphics. I came up with a basic template and showed it to my friend for some feedback, and he utterly hates it. After that response, I thought I'd put it up for public viewing to see if everyone agrees. As I'm in the design stage, any sort of feedback would be welcome; be it about the card template, the image, what have you. My biggest issue right now is the plain look of the text area, but due to the card size I want optimum readability. I might make it a little flashier, at least using graphics for the rarity and faction.
To explain the card, the top portion is of course the portrait. The first text is the card name, followed by the card number in regard to the order of creation. This is added because I intend on having a "view collection" screen, for those who want to try collecting every card. Beneath this is the description. The bottom left is pretty self explanatory, the card's attack and defense. Rather than choosing to attack or defend with a card each turn, you choose to give it an attack role or a defend role when you cast it - at least, that's the plan for now. I'm going for a very basic system because I'm very new to coding. Once I have a basic version complete, I'll start making it more complex. Moving on, the bottom right holds the rarity (1 through 5 stars) and the faction (man, nature, light, or dark).
