    Game Keeps Corrupting!

I've had corruption issues before myself. I suggest always saving and closing the project itself before you close the program. Haven;t had an issue since I started doing that.

    Weapon Balancing.

One thing reading this thread made me consider was the following: All weapons are (relatively) equal. Your equipment will always be the same strength, but your character gets stronger. Say your character starts with an Iron Sword (Atk +20, Agi -5). Later on you find a shop selling a fine steel sword (Atk +15). Then, in the next dungeon (which happens to be an ice cave) you acquire the Flame Brand (Atk +10, Fire Elemental). which is better against the fire weak enemies in most encounters, but not something to use all the time. Then repeat the same thing with other equipment slots. It removes one aspect of character growth (improved equipment), but offers more direct customization for the character. Do I turn my primary fighter into a might glacier (High power weapon and max defense gear, but tons of agility penalties) or sacrifice defensive armors for more agility based ones to offset my weapons weight. Taking it further, maybe the Slashing Sword offers an unusually low attack number but gives the equipped character an attack all technique. Or a staff that penalizes MA but offers the equipped character access to late game or off-type spells they shouldn't have access to. (Black Mage Staff that penalizes magic but gives access to a few White Magic spells (Maybe a heal all and a defense buff).
  3. I used to be really bad about hording items but i eventually realized that nobody cared if I had an inventory full of unused elixirs at the end of the game, so I may as well just burn them off and make things easier for myself.' ALso, hate to be the echo, but really nice video.

    Making the Guard command useful

I gave Guard a 5-10% HP restore effect (depending on the character). Helps you survive until the healers turn when hurt, provides some emergency first aid if you are out of healing, and can be used to conserve healing if used during weaker battles.
  5. I would hope it makes you remember it. It's almost a perfect copy. I looked up Hyrule Castle's map to make sure. Still looks awesome, and I'd love catching that detail in a game though.
  6. I knew I recognized that map layout! Red Hand of Doom. That seems like it'll be a ton of fun when you get it finished. The combat system looks great.
  7. Like the look, Feldschlact IV, but definitely FF6 graphics edits at work. I'd recognizes parts of that anywhere.

    Looping dialogue

If a self switch isn't an option, just use a normal switch.

Skill Ideas you can do with Custom Formula

Is there anyway to turn a switch on or off in a formula?

[Request] Simple edits to the equipment screen.

That second half may do what he's asking, but the first is not, if I understand his request properly. by my reading, he wants to let people swap equipment around all they want, but something is required to be equipped. Say, I have a short sword equipped. I can swap to a long sword. But I can't choose to not equip any sword at all.
  11. Hold shift will prevent those auto corrections, but after testing it'll make the mountains odd. So it would probably mean you need a custom tile set or to simply use the lighter shade of grass as your default grass.
  12. IceyVampire Your map feels like it has a lot of empty space, but I think it looks good. Maybe make the grass area a bit smaller so the castle is more obviously important to the overall map. MISTER BIG T Looks dark and grim. And I'm slightly creeped out just looking at it. Which I'm assuming is a good thing. HumanNinja I think Archaleon hit a couple of good points. I do think that the vine above the right ground floor window looks odd. Too bright, maybe, compared to the rest of the plant life. Another map I've been working, that of a short mountain region, My second map, so here's hoping it looks good.
  13. Sounds like he wanted t create a skill that shows up on the main command list with Fight and Item.
  14. @ Cecillia Yeah, those floors definitely look weird. I like the map other than those. It's a bit empty, but that fits the futuristic look to me. Maybe something on the counter? Below is my first real attempt at a town map. Haven't added doors yet, but otherwise I think it's done.
  15. Just finished playing through and found a few things that I think are bugs. - - Several of your cut scenes are blacked out. Notably, the ship scene and the scene at Lied Docks - - One that was very irritating to me was the cutscene before the underground palace with the four knights. I opted to skip the cut scene after dying the first time. After I beat them, the scene played out anyways. - - The Inn in the final town is non-functional, I believe. I assumed talking to the book was supposed to initiate an inn scene, but it did not. My guess is a common 'Below Actor' error causing it to not function unless I stand on top of it, which is impossible. On the other hand, if that isn't intended to be a functional inn, my guess was bad. ======Posssible Spoilers====== I did feel highly disadvantaged near the end. The enemies were obviously scaling into gear I didn't have. I had a very difficult time gathering enough supplies to craft the better late game gear that I'm guessing I needed. And I never did find out how to mine the etherium ore deposits. Also, it felt like some things weren't explored, such as Persea's past and the deal with Annie and that scene in the Necroplis. Also, what effects do the emotion system have? I didn't really notice anything, but I may have missed it. ======End Possible Spoilers====== Overall, I enjoyed the game a good bit. Thanks for the effort you put into it.
