I don't have much experience using Parallax mapping,im not even sure how to use it properly but experienced using the map editor so I will try that way

Hi guys, asmany of you know ive start developing myown game after years of playing around with rpg maker, Now looking at different scripts ive seen many different script engines. one that caught my eye is yanfly's, I also quite liked victors. Are thesegood engines? are there anymore massive script engines out there to work with? I with thinking about using one main engine and crediting that person,

I think im gonna use the village attack as the start of the game,and let the player, try to save people as the village burns, as of the moment im trying to figure out how to make a village look like its on flames, but I don't know how to make the houses look like their burning

I don't know if this is the right place but ive been looking for some advice For a year of 2 ive had a game floating around my head but ive never actually got around to making it, i wanted to know what you guys thought of it ill give you arought outlook on the game. Its called Dragoon Prophecies, The name of the game from a race in the games world now that in the present game is extinct, the Dragoons, and they had premonitions and created a book of prophecies aka the Dragoon prophecies. At the beginning of the game, your character, who is atypical soldier, hs village gets attacked by a mysterious force which ends up causing the guard to evacuate the residents, you get on a ship ( village is a port) and you a few guards protect the boat from attack, you knocked out and wake up on a mysterious island. Now through out the game, he gets off the island, and finds out the village was strategically attacked as the attacker was after something. this starts a journey as the character meets new friends new enemies and eventually comes face to face with the attacker. A dilemma im facing is wether to start the game on the island and use flashbacks to explain the story of the villages attack or start it on the village?

Hi, I have been playing around with rpg maker vx ace for a bit and have made a few maps I intend to use for a game, but as im quite new id like some feedback This map is a typical weapon and armour shop This next one is a general one floor house This next one is like the center of the town, other paths lead off into other bits of the town but for now, this is just the center, Ignore that they are lifeless and have no events I havent quite gotten that far yet in the production of my game I was just testing my mapping skills Any feedback would be nice, But I am also looking for some help Not long into my game this village is attacked and when the player wakes up it is burning down. How can I create this graphically? Can anyone give me any tips on what to use to create that burning feeling of the town for the player but also what tiles i could use to show its on fire ect, ive tried using many tiles that have fire but I cant get them to look right and its frustrating me. Thanks guys

I wasnt planning on allowing to have different classes. The feature is that that they can level as they like, kinda like the sphere grid system on Final Fantasy 10 but each specialization has a bonus when using a purticular set of weapons. but can learn to use other weapons as well, but will not have those bonuses?

ohhh I havent actually play tested these maps yet to see how things are actually looking from game view will find something to work around it
