  1. Hey guys! So I did include a changelog with the game, it should be a text file where the game.exe file is located. For those east players stuck in the west I'm going to create a fix for that and release that this week
  2. Hey everyone! So I'm going to be putting a few major things together over the next week or so, playtesting, then hopefully getting the Final Game ready for upload. In the meantime, West players should download the following file: http://www.mediafire.com/download/usc2ts23p1bv2fw/Map002.rxdata And replace your own Map 002 data in the Data folder with this file. Then, West players need to simply go to Cloudvale, and the balancing script will cancel. Sorry for the delay with that guys! EDIT: And on that note, June 28th will be the official release date for Final Game 1.0!
  3. So, I think I've got just about everything all set. I'm running through the game now on both sides to make sure we've got ourselves a decent game here. I don't want to give a release date just yet since I still expect to have to fix a lot of bugs, but it will be relatively soon. I've fixed the balanced level glitch on the west side, and I'm just about finishing up implementing the nurse and researcher career paths on the East side.
  4. Yes! I've added in the ability to change outfits to a few custom ones in Paret City I should add the skin color change too... I have added a gender change option I should have said something sooner, sorry! Yes this was a bug and I have fixed it for the next update
  5. Hello everyone! I figured it's been too long since I've updated anyone about the progress here, so here we go! I've been working on populating and finishing East Godra mostly. I've been adding some quests and more trainers to West Godra, as well as fixing just general bugs. I've also been reworking some of the gyms to be more interesting. I think, most importantly, I've been finishing the college, as well as adding in the researcher and nurse professions for East Godra players. This will be the biggest change. I've been researching scripting and will hopefully have some interesting mini games related to those professions very soon! I will update here when I have a release date for the game. No more betas either, since I think once this update gets published all players for both sides will be able to earn all eight badges and battle the Elite Four, as well as accomplish any career path they want to within their side of the map. So this next update will be Final Release 1.0! That doesn't mean I'll be finished working on the game, as connecting the two regions will be the main goal of Final Release ... releases So thank you for playing and posting here and everything you do! Hopefully I'll get this update to you sooner rather than later!

I like this. Reminds me of the Oregon or Yukon Trail games! I don't know too much about it, but Eve is sort of like that a bit, right? o.O I could be way off because I only know what I overhear from a friend of mine :3 I always thought the concept would be cool for offline single-player experiences... since I don't think my computer can handle Eve lol That's a good point. I learned about that in a class as a freshman in college. Different strategies to avoid radiation would be an interesting game mechanic/feature. I looked into that Star Saga game. Really interesting. Too bad it's so old, I would have loved to take a crack at that and see what it was all about! I was thinking about isolation as a driving element to a story too. I like how you start off alone in Minecraft... but it's not really a lonely kind of alone. It just sort of is a part of the world. Whereas I feel like the loneliness in space or in a tiny space craft would add a LOT of tension to a game...

So here's a quick question; what would one need in order to survive in space? Just been thinking a lot lately and was pondering over what exactly a space survival/adventure game would need to be interesting. I thought a few points like the ones below would make for an interesting game: Basic survival meters; like Hunger, Thirst, Oxygen and so on Crafting System to help with the whole 'staying alive' thing. A decent, driven story line (pretty necessary as I wouldn't want to design a true sandbox game in Ace!) But then I was trying to come up with materials and other game details that would be necessary and make for an exciting game in Ace. What kinds of things do you think would fit well into a space survival/adventure game? I was thinking gathering resources like Minecraft, a relatively linear story, maybe jumping from point to point like Fire Emblem games, and keeping up with your ship and crew, maybe something along the lines of FTL. I don't know! I'm just throwing that out there. Would love to hear fun ideas!
  8. Instead of working two part-time low-pay jobs, I might actually be getting a real full time job soon! That means more time to dev!!!

  9. ^ Genius. I was trying to think of a possible way to do it myself but this is gold. If you still have a pokeball. Let us know if that works out!
  10. Update! So everyone, tonight is the night for a new update! This one is a long time coming but it will fix a huge amount of bugs and annoyances, graphical errors and quest errors on my part. Of all the updates I've released, this is definitely the most stable one yet! I wish some of the fixes took less time, and there are a lot of things to smooth over still, but I'm really quite happy with what I've got. Having said that, I'm looking forward to posting the update tonight (before 11:59pm EST). I will make a post with what has been changed and fixed and so on when I post the new update! Thank you everyone for your amazing support and saint-like patience! I hope you will think it has been worth it!
  11. We'll see how this turns out. I have a few places I can add these double battles! Should be fun working with them EDIT: So I've added in some new things, such as War Party battles for people who are war party members and want the experience. I've added and fleshed out the Mega Tower, which forces trainers to battle megas and a few double battles before they get their own mega rings and stones, and I've added a new 'training area' for people who have finished the Elite Four on the West side. I've fixed the Ho-oh cave problem, and I've fixed and removed some things preventing east players from making it all the way to the elite four. There have been a lot of smaller bug fixes too, too many for me to remember them all exactly, but I do believe that the pokemon not attacking back glitch is solved so that is exciting! If there's anything that anyone is concerned about and it doesn't look like I've addressed it yet, please let me know!
  12. I really like this a lot. It's a good suggestion and something I guess I just overlooked in this game! I can certainly add more double battles! I think that will add some more variety at least to the battles!
  13. Yes the moves in the game will be functioning when I'm done. The thing is that they take an incredible amount of time to fix, and I didn't think people would be satisfied with an update that just fixed attacks and added animations and things like that.
  14. Well, I didn't go anywhere. In fact, I've been on top of answering posts here. So I'm not really sure what you're talking about.
  15. Thank you kindly! The next release will be soon, and so far I think it's pretty playable, even if it isn't the 100% complete version.
