After lurking for forever3 years on this forum I figured I should finally share some stuff! Starting with an OC, this guy is my character in Dragon Age Inquisition (which is a game if you've never heard of this particular franchise before in which case, shame on you ). His name is Taerel and he's my precious. Fight scene. The background was a quicky which is why it looks like crap, but the focus should be on Tae anyway. Sort of a side-by-side comparison between the two versions I have of Taerel, depending on what setting/story I'm writing him in. And I'm aware that zoomed in like that the shading is a little messy in places. A comic page I'll likely never finish (the background was gonna be painted in which is why it doesn't show here) Kissy pic My part of an art trade. Sorry it's so big, I'm honestly too lazy to upload a resized version. Onto some fanart, have some pokemon~ This was a contest entry. And another one, this was a birthday gift for a friend. A comic I did as part of a trade. This was an attempt at screentoning, complete with ditzy sound effects! Precious leaf potato! If you know what this is, I will love you forever. Vampire Hunter D fanart. And that's all for now~ This won't be updated regularly but once I have some new stuff (and if I don't forget) I'll post them here. Thanks for looking :3

How did you started with art? I think I started when I was 3 years old; art kinda runs in the family, both my mother and my grandfather are fairly good at drawing. I remember one of the first things I drew were horses with cowboys, then dinosaurs and dragons, then zombie dinosaurs and dragons and then my anime phase hit Did you tried to build your own art style first, learned human/creature anatomy first, or something else? I used to copy the styles of my favorite animes back at the time, Pokemon and Dragon Ball Z style mostly. It took quite a while for me to settle on a style that was more personal, and that too has evolved over the years, especially when I joined deviantART and found all these amazing artists with amazing styles - I took a lot of inspiration from those. As for anatomy, I will admit I used to wing it for years, and didn't really know what I was doing when it came to drawing humanoids and animals - big mistake because I learned faulty anatomy that way, and it's tough to break away from that. I never took any classes, nor did I draw from real life reference. I do so now though, and I'm glad it shows in my art, though I'm still far from a pro (especially when perspective is involved). If you want to learn proper anatomy, don't look at art other people have done (as they too can make mistakes and you don't want to accidentally copy said mistakes just because it looks 'right'). Reference from real life, either photos or actual people to learn proper anatomy, and once you get a decent grasp on that you can adapt it to your own personal style. Or do it the hard, long, painful way like I did How much time you spend in practicing for drawing? I used to draw every day, back in high school, but due to real life events my inspiration/motivation took a huuuge blow and even now, 13 years later it still hasn't fully recovered. There are times I draw a lot for a few days, in between not doing anything even remotely artsy for a month or two. It sucks, because the ideas are there, sure - I have sooooooo much stuff I want to draw, including a ton of character art and designs for my RPGMaker project - but the motivation is lacking. I still have hope I'll get over this eventually... Improvement is slow because of this and that sucks! In how many years/months you became a perfect artist? I don't strife to become a perfect artist, and I'm faaaaaaaaaaaaar from reaching perfect state anyway, if I can even reach it. And I think this goes for most people. I do however always strife for improvement (when I do draw) and this also goes for pretty much everyone, I think. When I think 'perfect artist' I think of people like Leonardo da Vinci or Johannes Vermeer, the masters of old. What program you do use? Paint Tool SAI for sketching, line art (I LOVE DOING LINE ART), flat coloring and shading, Photoshop CS5 for shading and touch ups. Mouse or Pen tablet? No one should do digital art with a mouse I use a Wacom Intuos Pro. Bought it about 6 months ago after my trusty Intuos 4 died after many years of faithful service. Before that I had a Medion tablet, small but decent. Your art style? Anime, realistic, chibi or any custom? Semi realism. I broke away from traditional anime style, but you can still find hints of it in how I draw today. Some stuff~

I have two questions concerning one of the most vital parts of nearly any game; the battle system. I'm somewhat familiar with the standard battle system that comes with RPGmaker, and I have also tried ABS but for my current project I want to do one that is very similar to the system Golden Sun uses - I really enjoyed that one and it pretty much does what I'd want it to do in my game. It will still different; instead of four elements I have four... other things (can't talk about that yet) and instead of Djinn I have... I guess you could call them artifacts. Each artifact is linked to one of the four 'things' and the more you have the more powerful your summons will be. Question 1: I know this can probably be done with eventing, variables etcetera, but it would be so much easier for me if there is a script that does the same. So, is there? Or even one that comes close? And if yes, a link would be appreciated! Next up, balancing. This here is my biggest concern, making sure that the enemies in each new area isn't too overpowered or too weak or what have you. What do you recommend here? I know one way of balancing the game that basically requires you to fight each monster a dozen or so times and tweak where necessary until it's right, but this is extremely time consuming and I honestly do not have the patience for that (I really dislike grinding). If I end up forced to do it this way, this game will never see the finish line. So I came up with this idea: Question 2: Is there perhaps a script that does the following: say you and your party members are all around level 10. The first time you enter a NEW area the script reads your level and automatically makes every encounter a set number of levels above or below you, say... between 1 and 3 levels for this area (preferably this can be set for every area you come across). So if you first enter the new area at level 10, all the enemies will be either level 11, 12 or 13... but if you enter that very same area for the first time at level 15 instead of 10, all the enemies will be either level 16, 17 or 18. Now imagine if you're level 25 and you want to go back to a previous area you first entered at level 10; the script remembers what it set the levels of the enemies to that very first time, and the enemies are STILL at that level (11, 12, 13) allowing you to easily whoop their asses. Other areas may scale the enemies up to 10 levels above you the first time you enter and make them impossible to beat, forcing you to turn around and leave or get killed... but you can come back at a later time when you're stronger because the game remembers the levels of the enemies. Is something like that possible? And would it even work in a game and be fun to play? My game is semi open world; you can go off the path and explore regions here and there (not huge, but there will be rewards if you do so; perhaps you'll discover a village with quests and interesting people that you would have never found out about if you stayed on the path of the main storyline. Stuff like that). But I want things to remain challenging, I don't want you to be able to go into every cave you encounter and defeat everything inside; sometimes you'll be forced to turn around and either train/grind, or just come back at a later date when you're stronger if you think it will be worth the extra time, to see /what/ is there... because who knows, it might be useful... or not But yes, is there a script that does something similar? Or do you perhaps know of another way to balance the game I haven't thought of yet? Any advice and help is greatly appreciated!

Get ready to read about the WEIRDEST nightmare ever. I used to have this recurring nightmare as a kid - I had it about 12 times and the really weird thing about it was: I knew I was dreaming, I knew I was having 'that nightmare' again and I could actually make small decisions in the dream that would effect parts of the nightmare or even help me to wake up. Lol it was already like a game I guess XD Just... scary. And as hard as it may be to believe, I am not making any of this up. It always started the same: I'd be awake (like really awake) and hear the sound of an airplane flying overhead (which I can only assume wasn't real and just in my head because this happened every time). I'd literally feel my eyes grow heavy and I'd fall asleep in seconds, and end up in a long dark hallway. I could only slowly move forward and all around me were these common household objects (like a chair, a couch, a lamp, a carpet etc) floating past me going into the opposite direction, like there was no gravity. This would last for a short while until I ended up in a small square room with 6 paintings, and each painting resembled one nightmare. I HAD to choose one. I only remember 2 of those paintings; one featured some kind of old looking suitcase or trunk, and the other was a picture of Disney's little mermaid. Being a kid I obviously always chose that one and I always ended up having the same 'nightmare' about Ariel (it really wasn't that scary) and I would wake up afterwards - I don't really remember what this particular mermaid dream was about. It gets weirder; around the 7th or 8th time I had this dream/nightmare I chose the painting of the suitcase and I ended up severely regretting it in the end. What followed was one of the most terrifying nightmares of my life: I was in what was supposed to be my mother's bedroom, alone, and the suitcase was on the bed. I opened it. Turned out it functioned pretty much like Pandora's Box; monsters came pouring out and I spent that dream running, hiding and fleeing for my life as the monsters killed everyone around me and haunted me down and pretty much took over the world, and there was no way to go back into the room and close the suitcase to make it stop. So the next time I had this dream I still remembered what had happened when I chose the suitcase painting, so I chose the mermaid painting again because I knew that one was 'safe' and bam, not-so-very-scary Disney nightmare. Now, remember all those floating household objects in the dark hallway before the painting room? Turned out I could actually make myself wake up by concentrating really hard on waking up, but I could only get that to happen if I did that before - and I swear I kid you not, I don't even understand my own brain at times - this only worked BEFORE I passed the floating toilet. It always worked, but there was one time I was too late or didn't concentrate hard enough or whatever, but I passed the toilet and kept going and ended up in the painting room again, and had to go through that stupid Disney nightmare for the umpteenth time. Fortunately this ridiculous nightmare stopped after 12 or 13 times or so, I think in total it lasted only a year, once every few weeks. I sometimes still hear the airplane, always when I go to bed (for the record, this nightmare thing happened 20 years ago). I heard it like 3 times in the last week or so but fortunately the nightmare never returned. I'm convinced that this is just one epic case of brain fart, I really don't know what was causing this weird nightmare and the auditory hallucinations (the airplane), I wasn't on medication as a kid or anything but yeah... I'm actually not a lucid dreamer, but these were the only ones where I could still think for myself and actually influence the dream in such a way.

As a (deviantART) artist, I like the idea of having a group where people can upload their art for use in rpgmaker games, whether they're character designs, monster designs, weapon designs or whatever. I doodle a lot and most of what I draw never gets uploaded to my gallery. I actually have a lot of characters and creatures I designed for fun and they're just sitting there on my drive gathering dust. Most of them probably aren't suitable for rpgmaker games, but I like the idea of having a place where someone might find a use of what my brain farts out through my hand and tablet I could be like a whole new kind of resource material!
