Thanks! I'll try it out.

The map screenshot script is making the tables short, they aren't like that in the game. Kinda weird it does that.

I didn't catch some of the carpet issues, so thanks! I'm not sure about Suja's house, it's supposed to be a small shack type of building. What'd you think of livewell pond?

I added some more maps, please ignore the items hanging off the tables, they don't look like that in game. On a related note, does anyone know of a good screenshot script?

Like I said, anything from you will look great.

Cool! I'm looking forward to it. Currently my laptop is undergoing surgery (the screen was mysteriously broken while I was at work) but I'll be ready to put it in the game when your done. No more generic RTP screen!

Bad mapping might stop me from downloading a game, mainly because a well designed map shows effort. If a game creator doesn't take the time to use tiles or parallaxing in an aesthetically pleasing way, I assume they put the same effort into the story and gameplay. Tiles can look good. If you add tiles from the huge amount of free resources available, tiles can look great with some experimentation, and are less time-consuming to create.

Take your time, I'm just glad you're willing to help with my game. Thank you.

Hi again Tsarmina! I really like the concept art, looks exactly as I imagined. My only suggestions: have the village sit in line with the volcano on the x-axis. It's ok to back off the image and have some forms be suggested rather than detailed, it might even be neat to show that the island is secluded showing a large expansion of ocean. Feel free to work on a canvas larger than the title screen, I can re-size (if that's ok with you). I love the "painted" style you have, you can use whatever brushes or effects to accentuate that style. If people have a hard time telling if it is painted or digital, I think that'd be really cool. But the bottom line is: whatever you create I'll probably like a lot, do what you think will look good. Thanks for the quick response! I'm gonna get back to working on my game. -MrMilkman

Hi Tsarmina! I like your style! I'm making an RPG (of course) that starts on an island with a volcano. I see you can do landscapes and was wondering if you could make an image of the island, probably for a title or cutscreen. Here are my maps for reference: http://www.rpgmakervxace.net/topic/19311-koko-island/. It would also be really cool if you could draw some clouds in a separate image that I could animate across the screen. Here's bad computer drawing of what I'm thinking: http://i.imgur.com/eDni5ci.jpg Perspective wise the island would probably be flatter, and it would be awesome if you could add in some of the map details like the forest with big mana tree, lone house, and village. But feel free to create whatever your heart desires! Thanks for doing requests! -MrMilkman

There is a dirt border surrounding the house, I should be able to remove that, thanks!

Great suggestions! Maybe the bananas are out of place cause there's only two of them, I think I'll either take'em out or put more in. The RTP tree does look funny, the other plants have more detail. I'm sure I can find a replacement. The bridge will give access to the volcano, which should play some part in this story. Maybe visiting the volcano is necessary for spiritual ceremonies. I kinda like the active graphic than the dormant. The road is supposed to look like grass has taken over and it's been broken up, maybe I'll make a graphic with a few stones coming out of the grass. The added shadow looks perfect. One question, does anyone know how to create a usable elevated path with that tileset? I had to open the tiles up to all directions, then place objects to stop the player from walking off the elevated walkway.

I started creating a large project, I'm a month in, but I realized it will take a long time to get it right. Thanks to the advice of other Rpg Makerers, I have decided to create a small project to wet my feet. I still see myself making things too complicated, but my goal is to keep things simple. Probably no parallaxing, the battle system will be simple, just a few scripts (Ha yeah right), and my main focus will be the story! Here are three maps from last night's work: (I just noticed some of the items on the tables are hanging off the edge, the screenshot script seems to be shortening all the tables) Tell me what you think! Criticism is welcomed. I will be adding more maps periodically. -MrMilkman

I used Mog's anti lag, and it fixed the problem. Thanks!
