    Unveil — Survival Simulator (Now Moddable)

    Hey guys! Wanted to bring you the latest news on the game. The Extend Content Patch! With this, the game is now Moddable. It means users users can add their own Scenarios & Maps, Items, Simulation Units and even Scripts to tweak game mechanics, balance, weather engine, or what have you.     Hey guys! Unveil is finally on Steam. Now that I am done taking out the worst kind of bugs (those that lock people out of their games, in example >.<) I am going back to making new content for the game. Thank you everyone who has been following the project for months or even over a year. It's been all a journey, yet it's not over yet. So thank you so, so much. Your support helped going through the hardest bits.     Hello Makers! One of the last Developer Log episodes before the Early Access launch on Steam of Unveil. Yet, there will be more episodes to come past it. Developer is not done! On this opportunity, I wanted to share with you the Settings UI, Time Flow controls, several tweaks and polishing, the Free Roam scenario, talk a bit about multi-purpose tools, and on...     Guidance needed: Coloring a region ID

    Well really, as long I can draw a "dark, transparent square on each tile that has X region ID" I'll be happy. No need for special post processing effects. However all I can think of is having a Sprite I update on every frame. Sounds so consuming though!

    Windows always drawn below Sprites?

    I tried many things and turns out that Windows are always drawn below Sprites while on the same Viewport, regardless of their "z" coordinate. To put it in a different way, while on the same Viewport, first all Windows are drawn on such Viewport, using their "z" coordinate to decide which Window is drawn first and which last, and once that is done, the same process is done with Sprites. Therefore, Sprites will always be on top. "z" coordinates would seem to matter only among those of the same type. My workaround was creating a fake Viewport that my UI Components detect automatically and they all go to the corresponding Viewport, enabling like this having Sprites behind Windows, and whenever a viewport scrolls, they all scroll together. It sounds messy but with my UI Components library it only took me like 20 minutes xP. Thanks everyone for chipping in though!

    Yes, I am aware of that functionality (it actually comes in with RPG Maker - strange one has to go find it and make an interface to it!). But it won't darken the tiles in my experience. Just saturate them.

    Hey guys! Bringing you the latest updates on the game. Getting closer to the release of the Early Access of Unveil! The new UI brings a more transparent look into the deep simulation of Unveil, as well as a much faster and intuitive way to use the Inventory, Crafting, Equipment and Tokens, whose mechanics have been modified and are now in their final state. Additionally, we take a look at a Scenario that testers are currently playing on to find difficulty spikes, locate the challenging aspects, balance and overall funness! (that is a word now!).     Thank you for your kind words! There is a lot of effort put into this indeed. This will be a commercial project. The revenue will be used to pay for 2D artists and composers to do magic on the game aesthetics, music and sounds . This is a very ambitious project and I cannot complete it alone. Do stick around and follow the project! I am sure you will have tons of fun with it
