    Senpai! This looks like it'll do okay for now. No idea why it didn't show up in my hour of searching here + Google... EDIT: Originally had a problem making this work – because I mistook Variable for Parameter... Felt like a real idiot there... Anyway, this is pretty great for my needs for testing, et cetera. I slapped this post together right as I was falling asleep and hadn't quite looked at the intricacies of that javascript animation. I would like to turn this into a paid commission for anyone able to slap something together that could utilize the javascript-built Earthbound background simulator that I previously linked for more dynamic battle backgrounds. If anyone's up for that, let me know!

    Animated Battlebacks

    Hullo friends! I humbly come to you today in search of animated battlebacks, primarily that of a scrolling pattern. If at all possible, I'd like this javascript-built Earthbound background simulator incorporated so that I can use the Earthbound style of battle environment. But for now, just a scrolling background can suffice. This is to make my game a little more dynamic in the battle aspect, and rule out special battlebacks altogether. Would anyone be capable and willing to lend me a hand? Cheers! ~ Katz

    RPGMaker MV

    Things I am counting on: RPG Maker MV requiring a completely new script plugin collection from the start RPG Maker MV requiring a completely different asset base, considering the new tile sizes RPG Maker MV being 80% functionally identical to VX Ace, but that 20% (menus, plugins, et cetera) really counting RPG Maker MV probably being translated/released in the Spring, with the first wave of awesome plugins at Summer's end I'm still going forward with building my project with RPG Maker VX Ace, but I was brainstorming how to make the intended sequel differentiated, considering that until then only the non-monster assets were going to be the same...sure, a different plot and different locales/characters. But nothing to make the sequel game truly pop. Fortunately and unfortunately, this new engine gives me exactly what I want...but invalidates the fifty scripts that power my game, the major one of which I haven't even commissioned together yet. It'll be interesting, that's for sure... I'm going to have to farm out a lot of plugin development for the sequel, but it'll be a little while before people are comfortable with what they can do. Should be interesting, that's for sure!

At this point I'm focusing on redesigning all the menus and everything, but I am overwhelmingly stunned at what you've pulled off here. Kudos and a half to you! I'm definitely going to need to check this out again when I'm back on mapping... EDIT: Also, thanks for putting in the time to produce the demo!

    Achievement System

    Hullo, and thanks for all your hard work! I had a quick question: I'm trying to make more use of the achievement category window — specifically, the description text. It's a big window with plenty of room to gallop, but the text by default scrunches up the first few words and then that's that. I've tried coding line breaks and using word-wrap scripts to no avail. What change would I need to make in the coding to alter this text behaviour? Cheers!

I swear I've had posts and replies on this site, considering I've held an account for a couple of years...but I'll be a hot slippery monkey on a stick if I can find any of them... So! I got started fiddlin' around with the RPG Maker scene back when I was a young teen – around the time that the one and only Don Juan was doing his work. So that puts us at...RPG Maker 2000? 2003 wasn't too terribly far past my entry point, and I've been around the forums with one face or another for all the iterations henceforth. I've owned all of 'em since, have hundreds of organized bookmarks to resources, scripts, and what-have-you, and I'm going commercial with a game I'm building with a potential Fall release. When I say commercial, I mean a really polished, high-quality piece of work – after a decade of building private or partially unfinished games (a few computer crashes in your teenage years will due that to you...), I'm extremely confident in my ability to put together something pretty incredible. And I have a few aces in various holes As for hobbies, funs, and various pleasures of the flesh, I'm generally a spinecrackingly passionate fan of the following! Disgaea: Hour of Darkness + Disgaea D2: A Brighter Darkness Dragon Quest series (particularly Dragon Warrior Monsters) Kingdom Hearts series + Final Fantasy series Five Nights at Fredd-dead-eddies (that Springtrap feller tho) Pokemon series – Feraligatr is my main dude Dark chocolate (kind of completely addicted) Consuming the flesh of my enemies in moonlight rituals Grilled cheese sandwiches Invader Zim, you know what, basically whatever Jhonen Vasquez does Trampolines and trampoline-like environments Accidentally staying up, like, I guess 20+ hours Pleasure to be drawn out into the light with you folk.
