There is a free recovery point, though. Should be a reddish-brown character that offers free massages, and he'll restore everything. He's at the exit of the break room, or the room you get trapped in with the puzzles. It's a dead-end otherwise. I checked and it isn't weak against ice. If for some reason it's like that in the demo, I have no clue. If enemies summon icicles that will usually do huge damage anyway since it can be stopped be attacking the icicle with an appropriate element. You can also recruit Lilah early if you're having trouble, bat enemies drop items that she requests before joining you.

Welp, the video definitely brought several things to light. Minor text running off windows, a missing portrait, those big yetis, and of course, attacking on the map. That was incomplete anyway, but now we're making it so it can only be used on maps with enemies. Thanks for the video, looking forward to part 2 as that's where the meat of the demo lies and seeing more of what we may be able to fix.

I must say, playing one of your videos I almost expected to hear a cute anime girl LP'ing. Almost. If you have time I'd love to see you try my game, Eulogy of an Insect. It's very to-the-point in this demo so you will see interesting things right off the bat. Should be something like an hour long, it has custom graphics and minigames/puzzles. There are no videos of it yet, so I'd really like to see someone reacting to the game for the first time.

I'd like an example as well, I always prefer to avoid scripts when possible

Just use conditional branches. if actor/item/whatever x is in party, then x dialogue appears.

Enemy Skill Conditions: Weird Numbers?

I would like to know this as well, it's a problem I too share.. -

Something of a bump and what I feel is an obvious question, but I can't quite figure it out- after equipping a weapon, when trying to use it (and just trying to press enter or any button in general it seems) I get the error And I'm not really sure how to solve that. I try looking through the original XAS project to no avail.

Restoring some default scripts

I hadn't thought of that, seems like the perfect solution. Thanks so much. -
Restoring some default scripts
Bhiemeswhjart replied to Bhiemeswhjart's topic in Editor Support and Discussion
I've done that, and copied over several scripts which I thought may be the ones I needed but they weren't. If I could copy/paste multiple scripts at a time it wouldn't be a problem, but as is it's just a guessing game and none of them has fixed it. -
I heard of it but didn't consider it before as it was for a side view. That sounds like a good workaround, since it's unlikely that any specialized animation script will be written for the default view. Thanks for the suggestion, I'll try it out. Although, wouldn't the enemies then be hitting the small invisible transperant image actors rather than the face sets on the bottom?

Thanks so much, I really appreciate the help.

That would be great if you could. And yeah, I would choose the latter option, with a switch. The map is raining so if I could do something neat like a flash of thunder when New Game is picked I think that would be novel and a good transition.

Hmm. Thanks. This DOES work, but since I am using the map purely to have a more animated title screen it doesn't seem to want to wait until an option is picked to start initiating events placed on the map. On a more minor note, someone can press Esc and open up the menu in the menu. (Menuception?!) Thanks though, I appreciate the find the very much. Maybe I can work around it with eventing, but for now I couldn't figure out how.
