Ahh i see i was trying to do somthing along lines of target.state?(ID) etc but yeah didnt understand the coding for targeting, (if understand what im saying haha) cheers for that gives me more understanding but yeah being able to use the ability with out the parameters is kind of not what im wanting I might have to work around and do it a different way cheers anyway bud

      yeah the looseleaf generator is FANTASTIC. just trim off the first column from the spritesheet and you're good to go

    odd issue with parallax maps

    Yeh bud i'm using modern algebras animated parallax script , had it working on my first one i set up the animating is not an issue just its not showing up in game or is cut off , and above that image if I run its like ahh sticky i guess in certain spots http://rmrk.net/index.php?topic=44635.0 Edited for more info/link
  6. I am confused tried making more water parallax and thye are either not shopwing on map or are cut off size is proper just as first one not sure what is going on doing nothing different

  7. hmm getting alot of what looks like texture tearing when map scrolls on my parallax maps , think its just to many lines :P but yeah advice to minimise eye irritation

  8. haha I tend to think its a good thing, and yeh ive looked around at animated parallax scripts figured out how to layer it etc but actaully putting it in game is confusing me, but shall just try use the normal tiles for now still getting my head around using gimp, and yeah the box buildings bit annoying I kinda just covered it with some trees in this image haha , but yeh time consuming as hell but looks really nice so worth it.

      Oh or like do an open door first and just put the event door infront of it ?

      ^That way, or even put the animation of the door on top of the door in the background. Either way will look the same.

I understand what you mean is a good idea i was just using a paint brush with low opacity black to create shadows, thanks for the advice I shall keep a look out for the tutorials as well, @Tsamina yeh I saw about they layers so I have kept that in mind well at least ground is separate layer from the rest, also cheers for the blank tile set idea guess have it set with open and closed on two and just place them on the map where i am wanting them to not move/move. cheers for advice @EraYachi cheers for advice I have everything labelled just in case need to fix some stuff , and good eye I tried to make it stand out from grass a bit by changing shade shadows and layering and positioning of some of that stuff is ahh not realistic shall work on fixing it up (takes me along time to do just what i did haha) I have a question as well in regards to making nice set out buildings that look solid (If understand what i mean) have a feeling they may end up looking flat, so what would you have suggested fro them , and say entry ways into buildings/other maps/caves. Oh and animated water >> or anything for that matter seems like it would be rather hard to do

      Looks pretty good. I'd love to be able to make maps with that much detail but I just don't have the patience for it.

Hello friends started my first attempt at parallax maps tonight, a quick question on it how would you go about collision areas and over head ? guess the parallax scripts cover that, but yeah here's my image, unfinished atm but 4 am so need some sleep , what do you think and any thoughts/advice please do tell as i'm completely new to this, advice on shadows blending and Angles would be nice Edit is my second work over of the parallax i messed up and merged everything togther so cant set my trees as a overhead image haha >> ahh wel gonna try a new map now

  13. looking for some free to use facesets for children don't have to be complicated defualt style prefer

  14. So how do you fix events set on random but they will face one way while walking the other eg cat i have faces left while walking up sometimes

      don't seem to be when I have an event set to random move, it will face to the left "sometimes" while moving up, other times it works fine just really odd movements and with direction fix all its going to do is have it facing what way i choose my sprite picture no matter what direction the sprite is moving in
