Sorry for the delay in response -- I think I need to check my settings, I thought I would get emails when posting to my threads were made. I appreciate you and others taking notice and I always try to respond. The unreality of the natural stain attracted me with its almost alien like form. The second one which you mention is the natural stain, I just whited out the already white countertop around it in order to make it stand out. [going to check settings now to make sure I'm notified via email when comments are made]

Attack of the Extraterrestrial Medusozoans! Digital art & photo by VoxPopuli Note: no space backdrop was used in this piece. The background, and all refracted light, is from the aquarium environment with its dark blue shadings and the "stars" were real-life aquatic flecks of some sort. The geography of the PS planet is actually the digitally manipulated elements of another species of jellyfish and surrounding water.

  7. @ LadyMinerva Extremely nice, the only element that confuzzles me a bit are the dark lines extending from the torii. Is it supposed to be in the water (like the Itsukushima Shrine) and these are shadows? If so, then the shadows are differently aligned to the light source and darker than the tree shadows. If the torii is on land and these are the lower supports of the torii in the shade of the trees, then again it appears a bit too dark (compared with the tree trunks) and the far left support does not have a shade source. Just a small matter, overall I really like your map!
  8. @Anderson88 Rich, detailed map, I like it. As for adding butterflies or birds or other movement, that depends on what is happening with the map once it is in game and part of the story. Lighting efx (sunrays), shadow efx (cloud shadows passing across landscape) or fog efx can also give it dynamics. @Brackev Title map is quite good, but I think the word "Potions" needs to stand out more, the coloring in the provided image kind of blends with the foliage. A bit brighter, or perhaps some layer style blends like inner/outer glow, etc. to make it stand out more.

  10. Introducing the FutureWorld component of Arpygea Dawning. A world of future-past and is exemplified by its capitol, Retropolis. Also the name of a mini-game in the works. Here's an early WIP map and Retropolis concept piece: Jer-Miah dives for cover on level 3 of the Retropolitan Civic Center as his friend, Kayn, mischievously buzzes the Retropolis landmark with his new spaceship. "I hate when he does that!" mutters Jer-Miah as he hits the ground. Original map elements: Location: Arpygea - Futureworld mode Original elements: Civic Center, Planet, Spaceship: Other map credits: Celianna RTP + FrankenChibis
  11. I'm glad you liked the map. All I did was image google a bunch of antique/vintage maps, looked at them, and drew my inspiration from a number of elements on those I liked with an incorporated antique border.

  15. Yes, thank you for your kind comment, I hope to create a project that grows into a very fun experience for the player. I am still relatively new to RPG Maker, but I'm trying to learn what I can to make a good game. This forum has a wealth of knowledge and talented people and that definitely helps the process. Bingo! Tsarmina -- you are the first to bring this to light, congrats. On a more personal note it is not just a phonetic play on an acronym? initialism?, it is also a loving tribute to the RPG genre and I thought it would be a wonderful name for the fantasy land of my first large scale game. Due to a couple of contests and deadlined art projects I had to put this project on hold for a bit, but I shall soon return to the land of Arpygea!
