  1. Hey everyone, i searched all through the topic and saw nothing about these 2 things... A, when my character attacks, no animation shows. i've set animations to both the attack and the weapon. Odd cause my enemies attack just fine... and B, do i need specific battle backs because the defaults are all over the place and camera or no, too zoomed in. i couldn't find where to shrink it a tad. any help would be greatly appreciated everyone ... EDIT: Figured out A. i didn't have my attack animation set in my character's "actions"... B, however, is still an issue. i'm not sure if I need to redo my battle backs or change the size of the screen... EDIT AGAIN... solved both issues... turns out my battle backs weren't big enough.

    ahh yes, more dynamic poses... that's been an issue for me drawing with a pencil or pixel lol. if ANYONE knows a way to study poses or anything i'm definitely open to it. it's just hard to find time since i'm a one man army with the game at the moment. Art, music, and the actual game. it's been hard dividing time to all 3 aspects lol.

    yeah that was a concern... lol I use Graphicsgale btw. but as for the lighting, I was looking at pics of other characters and kinda fusing them into what ya see now lol. problem is it's easier for me to draw than pixel lol. I got lots to work on
  6. haha i'll look into Theo's then. on another note, i'm definitely curious to see what else get's added to this script. just tested it and it's working like a charm so far. and with my own adjustments, i think it'll be perfect in my game!

EDIT: how did you get Theo's system to A. be backview and B. use the default people? i thought about using it to save time on making battle portraits like the one in my profile pic, but i couldn't get it to work in my favor to do something simpler lol.

    Battle Engine Symphony

    hey guys, i've scoured the Internet for info but can't find the following... how do I make an icon shoot forward a tad, and then come back? like a punch being thrown. it always looked weird seeing the fist swing downward. any help would be greatly appreciated.

OK, so my main concern for my game at the moment is what battle system to use for the following ideas. characters suffer Panic attacks and thus transform into another person using a state of "panic". this would allow a summon of sorts for a few turns until the state wears off. using Panic attack States at the right time would turn the tide of battle, unlocking new moves and classes for the character who panics. like you'd start with a basic class but once you unlock your Panic state (think defeating your shadow in Persona 4), it's usable and unlocks 2 other classes. one that goes with MP and one just for the Panic state. sooo getting to the point, what would be a good battle system for something like this? I've tried a few for feels but nothing concrete yet other than it being Sideview for summons...

    Ok then... I think I get what you guys are saying. I think I'm going to fool around with number a bit first to see what results are wielded. Also I think I'm going to look back at a list of all the possible things I can input. Oh as for the critical hits, I think Yanfly's scripts can maybe find a way around it for me? I'll recheck that. Anyway, thanks for what you've told me so far. I have a simpler idea of what a formula means. If anyone can think of anything else that would be helpful, let me know and thanks again. Edit: I went through some more info on formulas and it would seem that I'm getting the basics now. I think the only problem I'm having now is applying states to formulas. That and making more advanced formulas. Say I wanted to make an attack that does more damage with a state inflicted, would it be the same as applying an element? like this:(a.mat * 2 - b.mdf * 2)*a.element_rate(3), BUT I replace the element_rate with state? And if so, how do I imply which state?
