Been wanting to get back into game making but can't seem to get into it. I enjoy everything except the actual game-making (events and dialogue, basically).

Phew, I actually did some work on my game today! I haven't gotten much done lately as I have been distracted reading a whole mass of light novel style and LitRPG style web fiction.
Funny think is, as distracting as it is it's also inspired me to think about my game a bit more. After all, being whisked away to a fantasy world is what most of those stories end up being about, and my game follows a similar set up in some ways.
Though I admit I kinda pity humans for wanting to escape their reality so much. Good thing I am a fairy or I might find it incredibly depressing how much better fantasy seems to be! Hahaha... ha... ha...

Windows why must you do this to me? I can't seem to recover the files either.

Yeah I turned that off and it still backs everything up (and annoyingly downloads local copies of old projects); if you check you may just see the same is true for you.
The whole cloud system is just awfully implemented. The worst thing is that since I mostly RM offline if I ever accidentally click that button it just crashes the program. How has that never been fixed?
Sigh. Hopefully the broken system will pay off if you check though.

No song can be complete without every note, harmony and inflection. This world being a song, everyone in it is a vital part of the song and no one's existence is pointless, because without that one person, the entire song is so much less special.

I'm back everyone! It's been so long, I'm still struggling with IC/major health issues, but my flare up has calmed down a little today, and I'm trying to get back into working on my game.
I sold my camera for an ipad so I can draw on my long rides to work. I'm looking to see if anyone would be interested in trading a talent for a talent,
I can draw facesets, and diff emotions for them, or bust ups, in an anime style. This is my latest drawing of my MC as an example.
In return, I am looking for pixel artists or people who make tiles or tilesets, or are just plain good at making buildings or castle/towers,
Depending on how BIG the project or tile or house/castle, we can discuss how many colored facesets or emotes or bust ups it would be worth.
I am a little picky with music, but I am looking for music artists to trade off with as well.
If you make an animated tile for me, we can disuss what animated thing you would like in return, for example, using the animated bust up plugin, I can give you bust up frames for mouth movements, small and pick oo's ee's and aaaahs', and/or different emotions.
If you are working on a lot of stuff for me, or I see the value, I can also make the characters hairs move, eyes blink, mouth move, or ((If it's a really huge project)) have different animated poses/pose frame movements in return. DM me and show me your talent/skill, and we can discuss and barter how much of each of our stuff would be worth it.

Urgh, MV still doesn't open and I have no idea if it's a problem with the recent update or with my end. ACE is also not working by failing to load tilesets even when a new project is being made (it just doesn't load/make any projects), despite the files being there.
2k3 and XP work though, so not sure what's happening. I've also reinstalled all the programs, as well as steam itself, and it still doesn't work :/

@Takeo212I've never been too into the remakes so I'll probly pass on ORAS. But then Emerald was pretty rad so maybeee.

@Nekotori I haven't got very far yet but the places look pretty nice so far. Pokémon towns are always too small though!

@lonequesoI think it was a bigger thing in the past but even now there's a remnant of the idea that someone with a higher post count is more credible/knowledgeable or whathaveyou. I wouldn't disagree with you that that side of social media isn't interesting to us grandpa's (It is a useful tool for staff to gauge activity across the forums though) but its also not particularly beneficial to be so negative. After all, its not so long ago that people gave the same 'advice' about anyone who played videogames.
