Chronicles of the Crystal Wars (Demo)

Thank a lot for your interest: much appreciated, really The pace of the story may seem a bit too fast for some, yes, but I tend to prefer short and compact stories to tales which last too long and risk to lose their public halfway... Maybe I should work more on the setting/universe though. Otherwise, and as of now, the project is more or less on hold: judging by the lack of feedback here and on other forums, as well as on RMN or on the diferent social networks, without even mentioning the flop it did on Greenlight, I believe there's not enough interest for me to keep on developping this project. Of course, it it gets more love in the near future, it will be different... Thanks again for your support: take care! -
Golden rule of upscaling: never more than 10%, then apply a sharpen filter until you get a satisfying result, or almost satisfying. Rince and repeat until you get the desired size but do not expect for the impossible, obviously...

I agree. Most of the resource packs aren't even that of a great resource as it isn't complete at all. Enterbrain should consider that not all users of the tool would like to make a medieval rpg, so they should have a bonus whether which RTP to use or resource to add. Just like how Unity handles their assets. They should live in their time IMO, and open some sort of marketplace where users will be able to propose their own ressources to sell while Enterbrain retains a percentage on the sales, like Epic now does with modders ressources for the Unreal Engine 4: this means plenty of money to grab for everyone and a lot more of happy customers because of more ressources available.

Ninjaed! Anyway, the info is also available on ANN. The list of features sounds good to me, but I'll need to know more before deciding to purchase...

It really looks like an interestng project, and I'd really like to see more. I, however, have some concerns on a pair of details: - why should Josiah put at rest the souls of the mutilated animals? I mean, and unless mistaken, it is a virtual world and if I understand correctly everything in it except the customer should be virtual aswell, no? What's the big deal with these "victims" then? It seems to me it is like complaining about the suffering of a tamagotchi... - I have a hard time understanding that customers who don't pay their fees should be retrieved from their dream by having to go into their virtual world: why not simply unplug the machine? Seems like a plot hole to me... Anyway, here are some ideas which you may find interesting: - perhaps these mutilated animals could be the sign of some sort of psychosis the customer suffers from for spending too much time into his dream, hence the need to retrieve him before his state worsens beyond any possible recovery: like this, the mind jumper would be some sort of therapist also, which would allow you to add some psychological level to your concept –for example, there would be some customers who spend so much time into their dreams that they end up "forgetting" reality, for whom their dream ends up being the reality. Plenty of concepts to exploit on this point with god complex and other personal issues which make real life unbearable, hence the "need" of the customer to forget the real world... - the mental issue could also be the reason why retrieving customers can't be done by unplugging them suddenly, because this would make their "dream is reality" psychosis even worse, maybe even pushing them to suicide after being retrieved forcibly –hence, and after the loss of many rich/important citizens a law would force mind jumpers to go get them inside their dreams, like if they create some bridge between the dream of the customer and reality to lower the risk of worsening the psychosis... - did you envisage the role of mind jumper hackers? People who would intrude into the dreams of people to get some confidential informations from the customers in order to blackmail them for example, or simply retrieving bank accounts info: this would be a good way to provide some sort of side quests: hunt the hacker basically. -

Massive nuclear bombings remodeled continents, or the great catastrophe increased global warming and the rise of waters? As for the feedback, well, it's a bit short so far: maybe more info on the setting, the plot, the characters, etc. would be welcome...- 2 replies

Screenshot Critique Thread: Read Rules Before Posting!

What bugs me at the moment is that all trees look the same: try to add some variety with different ones, or at least different designs of the same (ie: not just color variations) – this can be differences in size too. Also, you may want to put some more variations on the ground, or at least more visible ones: for now the different grass you use don't seem to stand out from each other enough, which makes for a very uniform ground IMO. Don't hesitate to add more bushes aswell, and more groups of flowers here and there; dead trunks lying on the ground are a good way to add variety also. Keep up the good work! -

You mean you got none of these problems at all or you don't know how to solve them? -

A few questions concerning ranged combat... For my project of game being futuristic, most weapons are guns and rifles. However, I noticed some weird behaviours if not frank bugs. For testing purpose, the units in the party equipped with guns carry only a Flint Lock whose settings have been altered like this: range=[6, 1, true, true, 0,0,0] – no other entry has been added in the note field. Enemies troops is the base Slime*2 with twice the amount of HP and a move=6 note to increase their move range as well as a w_range note to increase their attack range – but it seems this last one doesn't work: see below, point 3. 1) when attacking, my units often attack more than once per turn, and sometimes even three to four times in a row, a single target as well as different ones; it also happens that these extra attacks occur when the targeted enemy is already dead from a previous attack by the same unit (never another unit so far). 2) although cliffs and rocks block the way for moving, these obstacles don't obstruct line of sight, effectively allowing to shoot at targets located behind; in other words, not only it looks weird but there's also no way to provide cover, and that is a serious issue... 3) I couldn't find how to increase the range of attack of the enemy: as stated above, I could increase their move range in typing move=6 in the note field but typing w_range = [6,0, true, true, 0] didn't help although it is the same "Easy Config" setup advised on this page: http://gubi.us:8001/redmine/projects/0_010/wiki/Enemy_Setup 4) lastly, and this has nothing to do with ranged combat but I thought I could ask in the same thread, is it possible to remove the display of MP in battle? Because, well, it is a sci-fi game so there's no magic... Thanks in advance for any help -

Nice job on the graphic: how did you do it?

Create an item with a "Remove State: [Death] 100%" effect and set its occasion as "Only from the menu" –lie this, it'll be impossible to use it during a fight but only after.
