    Hehe perfect! I had a similar issue when I first started out as well. It was because when your character would access the door, the door would then move to face the player, if a door faces the player then it's going to use whatever sprite (up, down, left, etc) which was the bye bye door sprite. If make it so its direction can't move via a direction fix then the door will do as it's told. Glad I could help

    See that little box called options down below? Tick the box for "direction fix" and see if that works. Everything else looks like it should be fine.

    Hey Crystal! Can you send a screenshot of the event page for us to inspect? I think it may be how rpgmaker handles things if what I'm thinking is right. Since when a door opens it goes bye bye and should stay gone as if it's adjacent to a wall that we can't see from the perspective of the maker. But you say it happens when they shouldn't be able to leave so if you send a screenshot I might be able to see what's up.

    Hey! Welcome to the group I definitely agree with Riki. You'll get experience as you go from doing small stuff and of course experimentation. Also! Don't be afraid to be super active here, it's a nice community but a little quiet these days but being active will help make friends and of course help in making your game...or in procrastination. hehe

      It's been well over two years since I even opened an RPG Maker, and I've seen this place sliding just a bit closer to the edge every month. I guess I've been part of that.

      Sure I have nostalgia for people I'd consider- "the old gang", and could probably list 20 names off no problem. But that's how these things are. All good things come to an end, but you can always hold onto your projects, memories, and hopes for the future.

    Ashes all around - Poem

    This is a really nice piece. The overall flow of the stanzas felt very jarring and disjointed from one another, and at other times they flowed nicely. I don't know if that was intentional but it kind of reminded me of how a fire burns; going fast and then easing off in all directions. I liked the progression, it felt as though at first he was the one burning all his things, getting rid of the past but in the passage where he says "All I am will go with me" and then "His ashes scattered all around" shows that he was getting rid of his entirety. It's kind of beautiful because this piece can kind of embody when we change who we are and it really is like we are burning away into ash and forming again like a phoenix or something.
  17. Hey Axio, Sounds like one script is saying no don't put this actor in the battle and the other script is like mi ahoy let's add the actor in. This battle system is known for incompatibilities with yanfly and is the reason why I don't actually use it and just use Theo's battle system. But that's not really a fix for you. I don't have a lot of know-how with scripts other than knowing that a scripter would have to come and make a compatibility. I think the interference is actually in drawing the actor sprite to the battle itself, that's why you won't see a problem without yanfly as I am fairly sure YEA is trying to read the typical ace battle system. I think my biggest suggestion is load order. Maybe try changing your load order so that Ramiro's battle engine runs first or if that's how it is already, maybe flip it so YEA runs first. I'm not much help, but if no scripter comes to suss it out for you then I highly recommend looking into TheoAllen's battle system, he is easy to contact, and he treats the engine like it's his baby so he is always happy to help and he's nice as well.

  19. I was like to myself "r18+ huh? How adult could it be? Oh yeah this story sounds really cool, can do a lot with it since it's a simple RPG concept." Then I went to the screenies and was like whoa heck that's wild. Has some really nice artwork and a really nice premise, I'm sure hentai lovers will really dig this. Good luck completing it

    @PhoenixSoul I actually scripted a little for Theo's in terms of the abilities that can occur and a materia system is possible, you'd just have to make a few work arounds but it helps give that unique "I am not Final Fantasy plz don't sue me" feel ahah. And mp levels could be done beautifully through events, making your game system truly your own and diverging from Final Fantasy. At any rate, I wish not to digress so we shall leave it at that It's all personal preference in the end.

    @PhoenixSoul hmm, what would you suggest for reasons as to why the Victor Engine is useful? What aspects of it are you referring to? As other's have said in defense, and I love you referring to amoeba's because this supports the idea more of the effectiveness of some slimes being weak to water, as well just using game physics. If these are enemy types, then their types should be coherent with other types, so despite them being "Slime" a fire slime should be weak to water, yeah? Anyway with the whole amoeba and referring to biology, we could look at osmosis and see that when too much water goes in, the amoeba will burst because of the imbalance. So there's always that to consider as to why water could have impact. However, in contrast, your game has put them in their own sort of biological family, which is different once again to what Phanta has with her ideas. Both really nice concepts. (I dislike fighting slimes in general :P)

    This is nice, it feels very final fantasy-esque with more detail added to status ailments which are annoying but help plan a better strategy. Reminds me of the Malboros in the Omega Ruins in Final Fantasy 10. The Malboro would ambush the party no matter what and cause a huge amount of ailments that essentially just made the player watch as their characters killed themselves. Harsh, but fair, if a player prepared for the ambush with "first strike" weapons, they would have been able to strike before the ailments were in place, much like your character would have to plan for non-physical based attacks to such sticky slime girls. I will not endorse or advise to use Victor's engine, it's such a headache and the scripter himself isn't...user friendly if you catch my meaning. Theo's battle engine, however, is beautiful but Yanfly's can do the job. But ew to the huge amount of comment writing. I feel like battles with these slimey ladies will become a little monotonous if they are all taken down by water (or most). As others have said, it'd be nice to see what we as players can do to punish these sexy broads. ^~^ I love, however, that you are taking simple concepts and making something refreshing out of them. Very nice.
