    Nothing really happened to it. I didn't abandon it or anything (I promise). Life just got in the way between grades, graduation, jobs, etc.

    With that being said, I'm not *currently* working on World of Chaos only because it's game size is large (content-wise), and I probably shouldn't attempt to release a huge game on my first time showing a game I created to the public. So World of Chaos has not been dusted but is currently on the backburner. What project am I working on? It's called Mythical Legends: Azar Chronicles (RM XP), and it is a much MUCH smaller game. I can't give a definite date on when it'll be done since I'm still going through life stuff, but as soon as I can calculate an ETA, I'll let you guys know.

    Game takes place in a room between a grandfather and his grandchild. Grandfather is showinf his grandchild this book, and the story of the book is where the game takes place. Now, the story itself takes place in a realm where magic stems from Seroma (Afterlife). Seroma was created by a man named Calhadin,. The Azarian realm has 12 Davkins (AKA Kings/Queens) with Calhadin acting more as the guardian of the realm that watches over his creation, Seroma. The story starts with you waking up in some strange place you've never seen, and you have a short chat with a mysterious man before Calhadin intervenes and breaks you out of there. You end up helping to close a portal leading to the Azarian Realm, and from there, you are sent to the Davkins to tell your story. After that, the Davkins suggested you are of importance to either Calhadin or whoever is leading the invaders, thus, they decided you will help end this invasion and will aid in any way they can for when the expected final battle comes.

    I will do the above in that order. The game should be done after I do all of that. After this game, I'm going back to working on World of Chaos. Therefore, expect to see Mythical Legends: Azar Chronicles Progress blog series in the near future.

    Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet is the third Sword Art Online game to come out since the original inception of the anime many years ago. This came out after SA: O (Sword Art: Original), and after that, Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization. Then finally, Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet that takes place in its own separate universe. So let's go ahead and get jumping into the game.
     

     
    Story:
     
    I'll just save you some time here. It sucks.
     
    I mean, I was going into this game thinking that the game was going to be an absolute shitshow because the entirety of the SAO franchise has about as much consistency as a paper airplane that wasn't folded right. As I said before, Sword Art Online takes place in an alternate universe that is nothing like the original two. As SA:O takes place in its own universe, and SAO: Hollow Realization takes place in the universe of ALO, Fatal Bullet takes place in a universe called Gun Gale Online, or GGO for short. Which, by itself, was actually the best arc for SAO. But it's still bad.
     
    Okay, so I'll just save you some time here and sum up the story in a few sentences, as the game doesn't really have a strong story department: It's bad. There are consistency issues all throughout the game, and the inclusion of different story modes throws curve balls at you like Nolan Ryan threw strikes (that's a baseball reference, folks). And some of them don't even make sense. For example, about 3/4s of the way through the game, a new mode is introduced called Kirito Mode.
     
    Because of course, we need to include our shining hero of the franchise just to make sure he gets his screen time.
     
    The entire reason you have to do this Kirito Mode is because of a player within GGO's universe who is killing players. Even though PK'ing in the game (which was said multiple times) is completely okay. He goes by the name of Death Gun, the most edgiest name that would put Shadow the Hedgehog in his place. This moment, this plateau of action, unfortunately, only happens about once you're 2/3s of the way through the game. The rest of the time, you'll be going from Point A to Point B in between, learning all about your characters backstory and what brought them to GGO in the first place.
     
    There's Kureha, Zeliska, Itsuki, and Bazalt Joe who are new players to GGO, then you have all the favorite characters from SAO: Kirito, Asuna, Silica, Sinon, Leafa, Agil, Klein, and Lisbeth. I'm sure I am missing a few but I don't care because the game doesn't give me a reason to care about these characters other than the fact that they were stuck into the game just to ensure they got their appropriate screen time.
     
    Okay, so going back onto the plot: Death Gun actually ends up being two different people. Which, looking back on it now, was a cool concept, because ever since NerveGears were banned due to the events that happened in SAO, new technology was implemented to stop that. However, Death Gun was working in conjunction with another person in the real world to keep his visage, his image, of being a psychotic murderer, while the person in the real world did the dirty deed. This was a cool idea to me, but.......there was no resolution to anything.
     
    You go into Kirito Mode, because you have to in order to find out who Death Gun really is, go into a championship, beat his lanky ass, and figure out that there was another person behind the scenes pulling the strings.
     
    ...And that's it. There's no proper resolution for the arc, unless you go back to playing your created character.
     

     
    It feels as though the entirety of the plot was mashed together in a blender when they were trying to make a margarita, but instead they ended up making a smoothie with ice chunks still in it.
     
    So to wrap it all up: Nah man. Just don't.
     
    Also, you can date your sister in the game in Kirito mode. No, I wish I was making this shit up, but no, it's an actual thing. Which goes to prove that Reki Kawahara is nothing but a pervert. But we already knew that.
     
    Overall: 3.5/10.
     

     
    Gameplay:
     
    Alright, in the vein that the story sucks, the gameplay is actually the most redeeming and probably the most addicting part of the game. There are so many good gameplay features. But in the same sense, there are also some bad gameplay choices that don't make sense unless you actually look up a guide of what you are supposed to be doing. So let's get the negative out of the way first.
     
    After the Death Gun arc, a new mechanic unlocks called "Affinity" between all of your party members. You have to raise this Affinity to near max with all the original GGO characters (Kureha, Itsuki, Zeliska, your Arfa-Sys Unit, and Bazalt Joe). However, the game does not tell you about this new gameplay mechanic change in any way or fashion. And if you don't do it, you won't get the true ending. That kind of pissed me off.
     
    HOWEVER, the gameplay features of this quickly outclass the shit story the game presents. As I am a gameplay trumps story kind of person, I quickly fell in love with how much you can actually DO in this game: From creating your character, from changing your outfits, to minmaxing your weapons to making sure they are the best goddamn shredders in existence.
     
    So let's start. There is an extensive weapons system in this game that allows you to customize and enhance your weapons, up to a certain point, making it essentially a minmaxer's paradise. For example, Handguns in this game have some of the best Critical stats but have shit stopping power. So to compensate, you would stack some Weapon/Physical Attack on them to make them slightly stronger. Up to a point. There's a hard cap on how much you can upgrade your weapon and its stats, but when you reach that point, you are already powerful enough that you can destroy bosses in mere seconds with your weapon. And there are many many weapons you can acquire in this game. Handguns to Full Auto ARs, Burst fire ARs, grenade launchers, and rocket launchers. You can even hold a fucking Gatling Gun. A GATLING GUN.
     


     
    The world of SAO: Fatal Bullet is massive, with 4 different areas (5 if you count the DLC) where you can go to...kill monsters basically. My favorite Area was an Area called The Old South, because it literally is a callback to NieR Automata's City Ruins. There are Side Quests in this game as well, which augment and complement the world of SAO: Fatal Bullet as well. But these are basically kill X amount of Y quests, looking for Treasure Chests in the overworld or in dungeons, or PK'ing other players. Basically, there's lots to do actually in SAO: Fatal Bullet, which is why I enjoyed the game so much. There are so many different build combinations you can do for your characters that one playthrough isn't enough to justify the game. For example, you can be a DPS Sniper, a tank who uses a Shotgun with CC abilities, a debuffer, a Support with massive Strength, basically anything you can put your mind to, you can do it.
     

     
    So for all the faults that the game has, it has an equally amount of good gameplay parts. However, I will say without the DLC, you can't get into all the dungeons in the game, which I don't personally agree with. If you're gonna lock content behind DLC, it should be free, or not be in the map in the first place. Because I'm trying to get into the Demon Cave without the DLC and it wouldn't let me, even though there was a Quest there which required me to go to the Demon Cave so I couldn't complete it.
     

     
    So all in all, the gameplay isn't bad.
     
    Gameplay: 8/10.
     

     
    Quality:
     
    It's.....about what'd you'd expect from a port. It works. That's just about it. I could run it at 60 FPS with no problems. Although, in some certain situations my frame rate would lock itself to 30 for no reason. I don't know if it's a Steam or a port issue but that was a minor inconvenience to me at most.
     
    What WAS actually an inconvenience for me is that sometimes, button inputs are locked, or don't register. Since I played the game with a KB+M (because that's how you play shooter games you ingrates) my Sprint Dashes would sometimes register twice when I only pressed it twice, or I could get stuck in a crouch position after Evading for some reason. So that was mildly irritating. 
     
    The art for the game is...well, we all know the writer of the game is a pervert. There's no dancing around that.
     

     
    And yes, you can romance all the characters in the game. And you kind of have to in order to keep the game moving along.
     
    So nothing really special here. It works sometimes when it feels like it. Other times it's a nearly flawless experience.
     
    Overall: 6/10
     

     
    Replayability:
     
    So like I said before, this game has lots of redeeming features when it comes to the replayability of the game. Especially when trying different builds, or different characters, or different weapons. There are near limitless combinations available at your disposal and they are all at your finger tips. However, the only downside to the replayability I will say is that NG+ is actually harder in terms of coping with the mechanics than it is on NG. Which is why I highly recommend against NG+. Instead, just make a new character and build them up again with a particular build you have in mind. It will save you a lot of headache that way.
     
    But yeah, in terms of Replayability, there is A LOT to have.
     
    Overall: 8/10.
     
    Now, it's time for the final wrap-up. In this section, I'll detail if this game is truly one for you, and if you should decide to play it or not.
     
    Would I recommend this game?:
     
    This is kind of a tough one to decide. If you are one of those people who prefers story in their game, I would say give this one a hard pass. And probably the whole SAO franchise in general a pass. If you don't care for a bad story but want a good game, then yes, I definitely would say get this game. HOWEVER, I would highly advise against getting this game on a sale for -50% on Steam, for a comfortable $20 instead of the full asking price of $40. This game is not even worth $20 in some regards but that's a whole other can of worms that I won't open.
     
    Overall: 6.3/10. Just okay

    I sat down and made a few of my FF characters using the DIY Loose Leaf generator, and after successfully completing Stryker, Casius, and Cideon, I finally managed to complete the perfect (or close to, at least) Loose Leaf sprite for Seto.
     
    I'm pretty excited about how well all four came out. I attempted some generated faces, but the only decent one is Seto's.

    Hurray! I have the most rudimentary of web connections again!
     
    The problem is, the internet tends to be a huge distraction for me. Where as before, I would write down what I needed and use my limited time online to find it, I now dabble and dink around wherever and waste time on myriad websites across the internet.
    Oh well, I also have direct access to information when I need it, like tutorials for GIMP that I can't seem to get to work for me, no matter how simple. Boy, I love GIMP. :|
     
    Having internet again, means I have almost completed most of my website. I still have a few placeholders for things (the old "coming soon" or "under construction" bit.) but I will replace those in an update in the near future. I always bite off more than I can chew, and currently I am chewing the bug hunt in my first ever started project, I am working on another project which I hope to have a demo for by December, I am making a trailer for said game which I hope to have done in a few days, and I am honestly debating whether or not to jump into IIAW5. I shouldn't... but I might. I like making contest games, especially short ones. We'll see what the topic is, and then I'll decide. HURRY UP, JACKUS! We have been waiting all day! Heh.
     
    I just found out today that using software to edit your finished games to have YOUR ICON is within acceptable use for the EULA! Woot! That was very pleasant news, along with a very talented scripter helping me basically add a function to give the player a number of lives! Anyways, work goes steadily. I get more and more done, but the urge to dump it all and play video games is very strong. I've been enjoying Party Hard a lot more than I had initially thought I would from the trailer. Somehow it ended up in my Steam library (probably a bundle I had bought) and I figured I'd give it a go. It's been pretty fun.

    Okay, this is a topic I am not sure I should really say anything about, because I am pretty sure a lot of what I have to say might offend people. This is an issue that most everyone in America probably new about for a long long while, and it finally really starting to boil out of control faster then anyone thought possible. So I have a few things to say about different aspects of the culture.
     
    On Cops:
     
    Here is the thing about cops: Cops are just people doing a job. A dangerous job, yes. An ultimately necessary job, most probably. But it is a job. They knew from the moment they agreed to become a cop that it would be dangerous, that they might die. Putting their life on the line doesn't mean they should a free pass. They aren't above the law. They aren't all automatically heroes. They aren't a mob family that needs to protect each other and be loyal to each other no matter what. They do have rules, they do have bosses, they should have accountability. They shouldn't get away with things just because they are cops. And right now, they are.That is unacceptable, period.
     
    On "Crime Culture":
     
    That being said, thing is, and as much as I hate to say anything that may be seen as defending racism, a lot of the racial profiling of black people may be partly their own fault. Because it seems to me like an unfortunate number of black people have completely allowed themselves to fall into a culture filled with violence, filled with crime, and filled with hate. I am not saying all black people do this or that all black culture is negative. And yes, I know black culture is probably the way it is in large part because of backlash from racist authorities, and that racism is still a problem. But still, is it any wonder when cops see more amount of people with a easily identifying mark like skin color rallying around mottos like "fuck the police" that it might make the problem worse not better? I do wonder why there is not a stronger movement to encourage people to disassociate themselves form violent media and culture. I am not saying violent media is the cause of this problem, just that the fascination people have with crime and violence and the cultural trappings that get interwoven into it are taken as bad signs.
     
    Of course, one of the reasons this happens is because so many black people are born in poor families or bad neighborhoods, and it certainly is not only black people who fall into this culture or cultures. But black people are the ones that seem to me most in the public eye for this, and if that's because of racism, it's because of racism. Point is, racism is a really big hurtle to overcome, and that kind of public images isn't helping.
     
    On Gun Control:
     
    Frankly I kinda hate guns, and despite having a strong bent in the direction of anarchy when politics is involved, at this point I have to admit it's clear to me and just about everyone else (except the NRA and the politicians in their pocket) that gun control is A Good Thingâ„¢. Thing is? I am not sure it will work in America, because there are just too many guns floating around in the shadows. Maybe I am wrong, and I hope so. But I think it's going to take a long time before a good amount of guns leave circulation, and I can understand the frustration of people who think the only way to protect themselves from a gun is with a gun. But still, I think it is probably worth trying. Ideally I would rather it not be necessary and rather the government not have to regulate everything, but unless gun shops just universally decide to do it on their own or something what can ya do?

    Needless to say that dis be an adult topic (i guess) and i dont want any shitstorm to rise over sexual rascism or whatever like that. lets just talk about the topic and chill~
     
     
    OK! So, for those who dont know, Yuri or Shojo-ai is the genre of anime, manga etc that involves love between women.
    Some might think "Ok but why go crazy over it?" Well, simply put, its the best thing ever. As i said above its not just plain perversion, the theme itself its just great. If you are a Yuri fan like me you'd know what im talking about. Even though the fanbase mostly consists of guys (at least i think so) i believe all of us find it cute as hell, because i know i do. Now on to why i love it so much. Well, when i first got "introduced" to it i wasnt disappointed, now eye-candy aside its how its being displayed. The stories i've seen thus far are really nice, its not too agressive or straight to the point, its romance done right! Although i havent got to watch or read a lot of yuri content but so far they leave me with the same happy feeling even though sometimes you read things such as this and you get sad real fast. But even this one still gave me quite the "aawwwww"s, its not just a fetish or whatnot, it really something interesting. Its so heartwarming and cute genre that i cant say no to. I mean come on, its cute girls doing cute things together!!! ITS FREAKING BRILLIANT!!! Its also a shame we dont get yuri content much in video-games, it would really make it great under certain circumstances.
     
    I know that this post does not include the constructive way of thinking or saying my points like my previous ones somewhat do, but i cant help it but gush out fanboy-ish on Yuri. Its like you witness something this heartwarming that you cant help it but smile. Simply put Yuri is the essence of happiness and pure love. The girls, the romance, the moments, HHHHHNNNNNGGGGGGGG~~~~~~

    Uhhhh, anyway. My basics points is that usually the stories are pretty decent, the romance is good and not boring and its not just "brute actions" i mean its girls after all. all that fits in a great package of happiness.
     
    What about you? Do you like Yuri as much as i do or for the same reasons? You hate it instead? And girls, the same can be said for Yaoi? (although i hardly think so. I think they work quite differently)

    Im sure it happen to some of you, random friend invites and all it is, is some "hot girl that wants to video-call you" or whatnot. It sure happen to me a few times, and here ima share you. On my end, i've kept it as clean as possible but sometimes words get out of hand so if you are not an adult get out!! What i do say is nonsense and make the "chat" more interesting, i hope you have some lolz like i had.     In a bit of reading I was doing this morning, I came across a pretty interesting passage. It was pretty irrelevant to the overall story (OR IS IT), but I figured it was clever enough to share with you guys.
    Keep in mind, I'm transcribing from a book, so the content may not be 100% accurate. The formatting has been modified for this blog.

    " There are seven incarnations (and six correlates) necessary to becoming an Artist:
    1. Explorer (Courage)
    2. Surveyor (Vision)
    3. Miner (Strength)
    4. Refiner (Patience)
    5. Designer (Intelligence)
    6. Maker (Experience)
    7. Artist.
     
    First you must leave the safety of your home and go into the dangers of the world, whether to an actual territory or some unexamined aspect of the psyche. This is what is meant by 'Explorer'.
    Next you must have the vision to recognize your destination once you arrive there. Note that a destination may also be the journey. This is what is meant by 'Surveyor'.

    Even though only like two people read these entries, I'm still going to post this here.
     
    When writing, sometimes a name for a person or place just comes to me. Other times I end up using some generic placeholder until I can come up with something. When that happens, there's a method I sometimes use, that might be useful to other people.
     
    First, think of some characteristic about the person, or place you're trying to name. Or you can even go with what they are/what it is. For example, if your character is your villain, and the place you're trying to name is a wizard's tower. Now that you've got that, go to Wiktionary and type that word in. Go to the translations section and look for a word in another language that would work as a name. You don't have to use the word exactly, you can change it slightly or significantly, this is simply for inspiration. I didn't like any of the ones under villain, so you can use synonyms for that (if you don't know any, or can't think of any, use a thesaurus to find some) and then type in that word. I used evil, and scrolled down to the translations.
     
    Hmm, let's see, the Asturian word for morally corrupt (found under the translations for evil) is malvau. The dark sorcerer Malvau? Not the best one I've come across, but I could work with that, and I'm sure with a little thought a letter or two could be changed to make it fit my world better.
     
    What about our place, the wizard's tower? Velho Tornis. I could see that on a fantasy map. It's a combination of the Finnish word for wizard (velho) and the Latvian word for tower (tornis). Again, not the best combo I've come up with, but I spent about one minute on coming up with names for the villain and the tower. Spend a few minutes more searching for some related words and/or direct synonyms, and I think you'll often come up with something that works for you.
     
    Simple method, that while it won't always give a satisfactory result, takes little time so trying it out doesn't cost you much. I hope maybe this method will someone out. For the people who do happen to read this, if you've got methods you use, feel free to share them in the comments. New ideas on how to do things are always helpful!

    However, I have decided not to change the way I do things, so things like
     
    - writing scripts

    - offering general support for events, script calls, etc
    - writing tutorials
    - making videos
     
    Will still be normal content.
     
    I will still be using my website, Twitter, Facebook, Youtube as well for public posts.
    But I feel there should be some exclusive content, like maybe a way to bring people into my development process or other things.
     
    So all of this makes things a bit difficult to decide what would be good "rewards" beyond a "thanks for your support!" kind of thing.

    Well, hello, everyone. Welcome to the first entry of this blog. It will talk about the general development of the games that belong to the game series of the Bounty Hunters. Today, we're going to talk about BH Mei.

    Gender: Female
    Age: Unknown

    Mei is the main protagonist of the series. She is a Bounty Hunter that lives in the region of Ninsio, where she does most of the requested jobs, if the payment is worth it.
    Mei has the appearance and the voice of a little girl, but her age is unknown by everyone. She is often called a little girl and underestimated because of that, which is why she hates being called a little girl.
    Mei is one of the members of a "society" of Bounty Hunters, in which each member is in a different location around the world, to avoid conflicts. She has managed to befriend all the members of this "society", although one of them is annoying for her.
    Mei lives alone, since her parents possibly passed away when she was 2 and her older brother left her alone when she was 8. She really liked her brother, and still hopes to find him someday.

    Rainy nights. Every night is rainy in Ninsio, so she is always seen walking around the street at night with her little umbrella.

    It's been roughly a year and half. Likely longer when it comes to working on my project. Time is an oily thing.
     
    Oh, the project. I never really did have a title for it. That, however, doesn't matter now since it is gone. It's a little heartbreaking knowing that 150+ hours of work just sort of vanished because the machine I used to work on decided to have some sort of quantum event that rendered the old grey mare unable to run. Of course, I was backing up my work on a USB stick, which has slipped over a persistent event horizon that seems to follow me like a hungry puppy, gulping down items slotted for that esoteric "one day" use, should that day ever come. Steam Cloud backup? I apparently wasn't using it. I'm honestly not sure why.
     
    I can toss out all the flimsy laments I want, folks, but the lesson stands tall, casting all attempts a blame shifting in its shadow; back your work up properly.
     
    I'm having an awful time getting back into the swing of things. Don't get me wrong, plenty of nifty stuff in the software returned to me after fiddling about with buttons and numbers for a few hours. The sticky, amoebic part that I can't seem to get a proper hold on is the re-creating the creating. I've still got a dusty, coffee-stained notebook with jots and doodles reminding me just where I was going, but so far nothing about what I'm doing feels correct the way it did the first time around. Not that I had birthed the most masterful fifteen playable minutes of game back then, but what's coming out now is some ersatz product with the branding pasted on, leaving it smelling of glue and decaying dreams.
     
    Perhaps it is best to start anew. Though, with far less continuous hours to devote on a weekly basis, it will be awhile before I build something worth mentioning again.
     
    But I'm damned well going to try.

I did, however, way back when, stop my progress and stumped myself in a hole of nothingness as year 11 got the best of me and drowned me in literary metamorphosis, cell division, half life (not the game lol), calculus and redox reactions. Although now, now I come baring gifts from all this hardship, I am as though depicted as Daenerys Targaryen and through the fire I bare with me powerful Rpg mayhem!
     
     
     
    Id, Ego and Super-ego
    My game loosely follows Sigmund Freud’s concept of the three parts of the psychic apparatus.
     
    Id: This represents our innate comprehension, our natural reasoning, our instinctual actions that originated before our tabula rasa.
     
    Ego: This is the balance, it’s the ability to articulate both Id and Super-ego and then rationalise a decision using the two. Wikipedia actually worded it very beautifully “mediates between the desires of the id and the super-egoâ€.
     
    Super-ego: This is our sense of what’s good and distinguishing it from the bad; this counterbalances the Id, as is the reason why it is seen as critical as I will prove shortly if you decide to keep reading.
    Since Id closely follows who we are in nature it can be defined with the story of The Scorpion and the Frog.
     
    Once there was a scorpion that needed to get across a river. He asked a frog nearby if he would take him across on his back.
    “I can’t do that!†the frog cried, “How do I know that when we are half way across you won’t just sting me?â€
    With this the scorpion replied, “That would be foolish, silly frog, then we’d both drown,†this statement made the frog agree and with that the frog began to take the scorpion across the river only when they made it half way across, the scorpion stung the frog.
    “OWWW! Why did you do that the frog cried†as they slowly began to sink.
    Solemnly the scorpion replied, “I’m sorry...it’s in my nature.â€
    Now, it can be proven that the scorpion’s Super-ego was weighed out when his Id became overbearing and in turn this proliferated the exceeding events which lead to the death of both of them. The Ego was unable to balance between the two and it can further prove that nature could in fact be stronger than what is perceived as morally right. So if there isn’t a consistent balance of each then the consequences can be dire.
     
    Doppelgangers
    Most of you would already know what a doppelganger is, however, I shall just state that a doppelganger is an apparition of a person. If these “apparitions†were to exist, perhaps they could be defined as the split between the three parts of the psychic apparatus...
     
    Applying these Theories
    My game follows the basis of these two components and links them together. Abbadon, the demon with a dagger in his smile and angel eyes has sought refuge in his final chamber eons before where the game takes place. Little did he know that this chamber was in fact his own living hell to suffer in for eternity. Accompanied by his lover, Sheol, they devise a plan to increase their strength and unshackle the magic that keeps them locked inside their tomb. Through insanity they watched their reflections and their shadows and finally realised the way to experience an evolutionary divergence into more powerful, superior beings. Using blood magic from a human sacrifice they found a way to split their Id, Ego and Super-ego into their reflections and more so into their shadows, taking a piece of their strength. However, Abbadon and Sheol knew that by giving these creations life they would grow stronger individually without the usual impact of each other and then when they were strong enough they would merge again and overcome the powerful magic that sealed them in.
     
    So these shadows and reflections become their “doppelgangers†in a sense, as the chamber slowly begins to degrade and the three main characters have to stop Abbadon and Sheol before they merge.
    So that’s the basis of my game! There’s lots of other cool stuff in there as well which I’ll explain in other entries. This includes, parallel universes, character back stories and definitely some battle teasers!!

    Once there was a scorpion that needed to get across a river. He asked a frog nearby if he would take him across on his back.
    “I can’t do that!†the frog cried, “How do I know that when we are half way across you won’t just sting me?â€
    With this the scorpion replied, “That would be foolish, silly frog, then we’d both drown,†this statement made the frog agree and with that the frog began to take the scorpion across the river only when they made it half way across, the scorpion stung the frog.
    “OWWW! Why did you do that the frog cried†as they slowly began to sink.
    Solemnly the scorpion replied, “I’m sorry...it’s in my nature.â€
    Now, it can be proven that the scorpion’s Super-ego was weighed out when his Id became overbearing and in turn this proliferated the exceeding events which lead to the death of both of them. The Ego was unable to balance between the two and it can further prove that nature could in fact be stronger than what is perceived as morally right. So if there isn’t a consistent balance of each then the consequences can be dire.
     
    Doppelgangers
    Most of you would already know what a doppelganger is, however, I shall just state that a doppelganger is an apparition of a person. If these “apparitions†were to exist, perhaps they could be defined as the split between the three parts of the psychic apparatus...
     
    Applying these Theories
    My game follows the basis of these two components and links them together. Abbadon, the demon with a dagger in his smile and angel eyes has sought refuge in his final chamber eons before where the game takes place. Little did he know that this chamber was in fact his own living hell to suffer in for eternity. Accompanied by his lover, Sheol, they devise a plan to increase their strength and unshackle the magic that keeps them locked inside their tomb. Through insanity they watched their reflections and their shadows and finally realised the way to experience an evolutionary divergence into more powerful, superior beings. Using blood magic from a human sacrifice they found a way to split their Id, Ego and Super-ego into their reflections and more so into their shadows, taking a piece of their strength. However, Abbadon and Sheol knew that by giving these creations life they would grow stronger individually without the usual impact of each other and then when they were strong enough they would merge again and overcome the powerful magic that sealed them in.
     
    So these shadows and reflections become their “doppelgangers†in a sense, as the chamber slowly begins to degrade and the three main characters have to stop Abbadon and Sheol before they merge.
    So that’s the basis of my game! There’s lots of other cool stuff in there as well which I’ll explain in other entries. This includes, parallel universes, character back stories and definitely some battle teasers!!

    Seeing as my team and I disbanded after graduation, our game 3 years in the making was scrapped. So I'm working on a solo project for now called, "I Dream of Silhouettes."
     
    It entails a little girl named Iris, who is blind. Since she was born blind, she was given away at birth to an orphanage in the slums where the disabled took residency, considering in this society anyone with a birth defect is tossed aside. After one negative event after another, being bullied in the orphanage, sexually abused, beaten, and looked down upon everyone in their society, a group of radicals burned down the orphanage and slaughtered all the disabled children and residents near it.
     
    Iris woke up, laying face down on the side of a river in a forest. With a broken arm and no survival skills, she wanders aimlessly through the forest until she collapses and faints.
     
    She woke up again to a wet sensation on her cheek, it was rough like sandpaper, but moist.
     
    A stag was standing over her trying to wake her up.
     
    The name of the stag is Micheal. (What she names it.)
     
    Long story short, the stag provides and cares for her, healing her wounds, teaching her how to hunt and use her ears instead of her eyes.
     
    I have yet to come up with a main conflict while they're together in the forest or if they go on an adventure. This story stressed a strong point on friendship and stuff.
     
    While she's with the stag she has a reoccurring dream, which she's had before earlier in her life, a silhouette holds her, running for their life as gunshots rang through her ears. The bright, red glow of the flames in the background as she cries over the silhouette, dead and lifeless.
     
    Who was this person? She has never seen a face before in her life, and cannot make out this person.
     
    The ending is a secret though. I have two endings in mind. One is good and one is bad, so it'll all depend on what you do in the course of the story! There's also a secret linking the dreams, and the stag. So you'll get a surprise when it comes out someday.

This is simply the best medium for me to reach all those who need to hear it. It is not my place to explain the situation, only to try and make right the wrongs I have committed to those who do have an understanding.
    So please, if you are already confused, turn away. This is not for you.
    ... I say this, even if we both know, that won't really change the fact you'll probably keep on reading.
     
    Even if I act like it, I will be the first to admit that I am not perfect. Maybe more accurately, I'm half as clever, dignified, and stalwart as I think I am. I also recognize the kind of harm I can inflict in-turn by actually being jaded and unnecessarily bitter. It was not my intention to harm; if anything, it was a petty, melodramatic, and cowardly act to not be harmed. I am willing to admit when I am wrong, and while I am still not absolutely and objectively convinced I am wrong - I am just as willing to admit when I have wronged, and in there, I am truly, humbly sorry, and deeply apologize. I am sorry for what I have said, and how I have acted. It was foolish, poorly justified, and simply in poor judgement - but it was never meant to hurt or worsen the situation.
    I am sorry.

    So, for those who don't know this already, I've had dreams of doing what I see as a "correction" of myself. As stated in my introduction post when I first came here, I want to become a girl. This seems a bit over the top, but I mean it. I see myself perfectly as a female rather than a male. I don't want to seem like, "Oh, this guy's posing as a girl for attention!" or some bull like that. I've even dressed up several times and I was very comfortable with how I looked, felt, etc. Me wanting to be a girl goes a long way from the past, for it was a young choice. This is who I truly see myself as a person.
     
    Throughout the years, I was always afraid of being called out as an outcast. One of my best friends was gay. People bullied him so harshly. I felt so bad for him because every night, he would come over and cry in my arms telling me how horrible they've treated him. He felt abandoned by society. I felt like that would be me as well if anyone found out I preferred being a girl rather than accepting who I was. Don't get me wrong. I love myself. The thing is though, I want to love myself even more. I felt that if I unlocked who I was in the inside and let it envelop me, I'll truly be, well, me.
     
    Now, people look at me as if I'm joking around and poking fun at LGBT people. News flash: This is who I am. I'm not joking around. I'm not poking fun at wonderful people that practically share the same mentality with me. Some people praised me for being a strong soul and carrying out my wishes and some never spoke to me to this very day. Some even decided to beat me in the bathroom one day a school from what I can remember. I spoke in blood-soaked words: "This is me". You could criticize me, shut me out,or even assault me, but you'll never break my undying spirit. Because in the end, you'll be messing with the wrong scene girl, mate. I assure you that much.

    Oh-huh-hooo yes. One of the 9,000+ things I abhor. Online dating is like a long distance relationship. Wait. Online dating IS a form of long distance relationships. Why do I hate it so much, you ask? Well, pull up a seat and grab a thing of popcorn because this is one hell of a story.
    It all started about a year ago. There was this girl (I won't name names) I was dating. At first, it was a nice close relationship until she moved somewhere else. I, being the loving whelp, always asked if she was okay, if she needed anything, etc. All I get are plain answers. Few months later, next thing I know, she goes off dating two other people at once! Ain't that a kick in the head. Hurts, right? Surely enough, one of them found out and dumped her on the spot while the other guy held on. After a few more months, some stuff happened, I can't remember what, and he dumped her as well. After that, she comes crawling back to me, I decline, and she tells me to tell the other guy that she still "loves" him. Pfft. Jesus Cristo, what a persistence, I'll say. Jeez.
    Anyhow, moral of the story: Always think what might be happening behind the screen. This goes for anyone currently dating someone online or something like that. I also feel bad for those affected by the realization that they've been violated and misused after everything they've done for that person. People don't seem to realize how disoriented and emotionally-damaged others who fell victim to this realization were and still are affected. This world is tainted with materialistic scum. If you don't get them what they want, they'll strike at you ever so silently. This is downright horrible to the core. These people have HEARTS. And the scum chose to shatter them. When I found out I was betrayed, I turned into a lonesome beast. A hikikomori, if you will. I never wanted to feel alive. I didn't eat properly, I flucked in school, my productions sucked. I went from happy, optimistic, and upbeat to rancid, antisocial, and suicidal in a spit second. Luckily, I refused to greet the noose because there was a small amount of joy. Of hope. A shining light gleaming through my heart. I became me again, only different. I when from Richard, the antisocial and possibly sadistic author, to the lovable Dia, the optimistic, crazy-fun scene girl who is obsessed with art, music, games, and food. I just want to spread amessage. What's really going on behind that computer? And of course, I don't wish to discourage anyone currently in a long distance relationship. Thanks for reading.     Hello and welcome to Spooky's Animal Kingdom, where I talk about animals! Animals are beautiful, stupid monsters that live outside your house. Sometimes, you'll see them on your front lawn. Unlike humans, they don't need iPhones or socialized infrastructure! How cool is that!
     
    Today's subject is the Abystoma mexicanum, better known as the axolotl. That's pronounced exactly how it looks, according to this guy who sounds
    . According to the comments, though, he's also super wrong. Regardless of how it's pronounced, the name translates to 'water monster', so it's probably something stupid and disgusti-- 

     
    D'aww! What fresh hell is this adorable thing from?
     
    The fresh hell this adorable thing is from is Lake Xochimilco, a former lake, now series of canals located in Mexico City, Mexico. Locals claim that these canals are home to soul-eating mermaids and at least one massive demon fish. It's also the home of an artificial island called the Island of the Dolls, which is... um...
     
    ... yyyyyyyyyyyyoooooooooooooooooo...
     
    So yeah! Living in a crazy place like this, you gotta be hardcore! Fortunately for our friends, the axolotls, hard is the only core they know. A fully mature axolotl grows to be a whopping average length of twenty-three centimeters! That's about nine inches, for Americans who don't like the metric system. They prey on weaklings like worms and baby fish to show the world who's boss. That's how they got to be so tough in the first place.
     
    I'm being facetious, of course. Axolotls know what it's like to struggle. They're a naturally paedomorphic species, which means that they retain traits of their youth, even into adulthood. Kind of like frogs staying tadpoles forever, y'see. That's why they have such short and stubby legs, and why they also keep their vestigial teeth. They have to eat by breathing so hard that they create a vacuum, and swallowing whatever they get in their mouth. This normally wouldn't be a problem with most other animals, but our friends were pretty much cheated in the thyroid stimulating hormone department, so metamorphosis never really happens. These poor guys never even reach puberty! Weird.
     
    Unfortunately, these little guys are considered to be critically endangered by the International Union for Conservation of Nature. Urbanization and idiot tourists continue to pollute the waters of the Xochimilco, which has led to these poor things being almost completely wiped out, and non-native fish have all but kicked them out of their natural habitat. It's tough going for the axolotls.
     
    However! Axolotls have that fighting spirit! They're going to survive, albeit by, er... unconventional means. You ready? Here's the strategy. Pay close attention, or you might miss it:
     


     
    Do you see it? They're SO CUTE! Despite all the setbacks, despite all the hardships and hurdles in their way, despite being super low on Nature's Tier List, they have their cuteness. I mean, heck! Look at cats! Look at how popular they are! Axolotl isn't exactly a household name, but a lot of people would at least recognize the way they look. They've got a severely underdeveloped foot in the door already! So say a little prayer for these cuties before you go to bed, and hope for the best. They could use the encouragement.

    I don't know why I decided to do this. I felt like it was a cool idea. Or something.
     
    Anyways, you may have heard rumors circulating around that I was creating another RPG Maker project. This is indeed true. The new project is called...wait for it, I actually have a cool image I can use for this one.
     

     
    YEAH! HYPE MAN!
     
    But yeah, it's called Broken Destiny. If you want a brief plot summary of what I have so far, the main character, Eris, decided a long while ago that she wanted to become a writer. She wanted to tell everyone about her adventures in the form of writing. However, her home town of Arfoile was raided by the Red Knight Empire, which left the town to burn and die. While escaping, Eris is unaware of an ambush set up by the Red Knight Militia, and is hit with an arrow which debilitates her and her fighting ability. She is then executed on the spot.
     
    However, before her death, Eris hears the voices of the gods and goddesses in her head having a distant conversation. Time then stops, rewinds itself moments before Eris became aware of the ambush, and everything resets itself. Eris is dumbfounded by this change of events, but she now knows where the spot of the ambush is and evades it. This puts the soldiers who were chasing her in a stump, and she dispatches them easily. She then runs away from Arfoile and proceeds to join the neighboring Rarindal Empire.
     
    In some of my earlier RPG Maker projects, you'll have noticed that maps are rather small, linear, and have pretty much no interactivity to them. I plan to rectify this by making maps as large as they can be, but also as detailed as can be. Pretty much akin to something like Final Fantasy's large-scale maps but have lots of enemies in them. Of course, this might sound different from the usual RPG Maker norm, but it's always interesting to try new things. Since the style I'm going for is more of a single-player MMO experience, similar to Xenoblade Chronicles (you're going to hear me preach about this game A LOT), maps are going to be very large, enemies are going to be a lot stronger and tankier, there will be world and field mini-bosses, and more importantly, the maps are going to be parallaxed.
     
    Yes, you heard it, parallaxed. Something that I've actually never down before. But there's a first time for everything, isn't there? Note, that I don't plan on parallaxing EVERYTHING, only spots where there would be lots of trees. For example, I'm not gonna bother parallaxing a plainsy type of area when there are only going to be 2 or 3 trees. No, there are some areas like jungles and snow places that are going to have thousands upon thousands of trees parallaxed in with the actual tileset. As for how I'm going to do that, I don't know, since a 300x300 map in the editor is about 360,000 pixels altogether (guestimating here, but that sounds about right). I've only done a cheap method so far of mapping out everything in the editor, treeless, then taking a picture of that, opening it up in Photoshop, and adding trees that way. But that's going to be a problem with bigger maps.
     
    The combat is also one of the things I'd like to talk about. Combat strays away from the traditional turn-based mechanic and incorporates ATB in a rather streamlined and easily accessible manner. From doing multiple playtests of the game's combat system, I can safely say that combat is one of the things I am very proud of to have working. Combat is very fast-paced and enjoyable; it has the perfect balance of choosing the action of one of your party members, them being able to execute it, then selecting the next one and executing it, and so on so that you'll never really have any down-time waiting for the ATB gauge to fill up. And that's one thing I've always disliked about how some developers handle their ATB in RPG Maker: they make it wait too long for some reason, so the fights drag on and on and on. In this sense, even though enemies are tougher and take more hits to take down, you're not wasting time waiting for the gauge to fill and you can focus on how exactly you want to plan out your attacks and strategies.

    Hello everyone!~ Welcome to a small Developer's blog of the Touhou Project!~ I won't say much since it is very explanatory but there are some key points (well one point in this entry) I'm willing to go with this project. :3 So let's start shall we? It's probably a long time anyone has seen anything moving in my project hehe~ So here we go!~
     
    So like I said in my project post or anywhere it matters, this game will be a little heavy on story wise so the eventing here is a little bit important. I'm taking my time on writing out the events in a more specific fashion... Here I'll include a little sample video of a little event in the demo as of now. This is just me messing around- okay more like experimenting a little feature that I want to try out. You see, I like to make everything almost as custom as possible, which also includes the message dialogue boxes. Some of you seen it in some of the project screenies where you have the character bust, but also a custom design background. Most scripts like Galv's Bust and Message background will do the trick to make your dialogues look more appealing. But for me, it was still not what I was looking for because it was a little buggy when I tried them... T-T So here I am thinking how can I have the message boxes the way I like them to be So that is when a thought came to my mind and it sparked. :3 I was tinkering with the event commands a little bit and I found out that you can do something with those message boxes with a little bit of pictures... It's probably done already but trying this myself without looking at any references; you have to give me credit though no? ^-^
     
    But that will be a later entry (maybe by demand~ xD) on how I do it, so it's all secretive here ahaha~ ^-^ So sadly, that's all I have to say but this little video will show the feature I'm trying to do. So to summarize, the custom message dialogue boxes is done using common events with pictures and whatnot. So below is the video of the small results I had from that little eventing so I hope you enjoy!~ I'm still learning these concepts so if there is anything you like to say, please do~

    I'll probably explain how to do this in a tutorial, but be warned that it's a tad complicated than what it sounds, but if you're really up for this style; then maybe I can show you the secret plans.
