It's very easy to do that with the standard FL synthesizer named Sytrus: Click on "Channels" Click on "Add One" Click on "Sytrus" Click on the Channel in the Pattern View and then follow the screenshot, I attached. I could recommend the following instruments: Piano->Metal Harp Piano->Harpo Wind->Flute DX7->Pan Flute You need a String Ensemble? Click on "Soundfonts" in the Browser and then just drag "STR_Ensemble" in your pattern view.
