    Convergence (VG Styled Music)

Thanks for giving the album a listen! I've been working on this style since early 2012 and I had a short album called "night" released on Google Play later that year. https://drive.google.com/#folders/0BwirlNiPNNmjOGYzUktObkJJTGs This album was the beginning but lacked more defined rhythm sections. The drums I use are "Addictive Drums" http://www.xlnaudio.com/products/
  2. For the love of all that is holy go check out http://www.tweakbench.com/ There are many awesome "old school" sounding VST's for free. I've used Peach (you may have to cut some of the low eq on higher layers as it can muddy up your sound if you don't) and Triforce the most! You may also want to check out the free VST called Firebird https://tone2.com/html/firebird%20vsti%20vst%20synthesizer%20plugin.html

    Convergence (VG Styled Music)

After a few years of writing for indie games and random devs I finally decided to release an album that I would be proud of. This album is the result of experimentation with chiptune elements being supplemented with stronger rhythm sections and synth. 16 songs in I released the album this month on the 19th. Not fully content to just sell it on the traditional distributors, I decided to create a 2nd edition that would be free for devs, youtube video creators, or anyone to use, listen to, or share. Below is the link to the 16 songs + 4 bonus tracks that are fully DRM free and royalty free. There are also links to stream the music instead if desired. https://drive.google.com/?tab=oo&authuser=0#folders/0BwirlNiPNNmjQkdXQlFNS1JEdjg https://play.spotify.com/album/0rhi9mXQDo7fnEhgc1KCFm https://soundcloud.com/trevor-d-lentz Some of my biggest inspiration has come from Deus Ex: The Conspiracy, Mass Effect, and every chiptune styled track with a strong melodic lead. I would love some input from you guys on if you think releasing an album this way is a good idea or not. There is an option to buy the album or donate if anyone feels inclined, but I believe in a "try before you buy" attitude. Thank you for your time and hooray for me on my first post on these forums!
