Captain Gail Pilgrim has been flying starships since she was a kid, ferrying passengers between planets and space stations across the galaxy. She has no reason to expect that this latest trip to Alpha Centauri will be anything special, even if her passengers are a little more diverse than usual: a fusion scientist, a retired space marine and a priest. However, it turns out to be far from a routine interstellar voyage …
Following Gail’s adventures across this four-episode space saga will take you to space stations, colonies, cities and islands across an immersive and intricate futuristic universe. You’ll meet many fascinating individuals, solve puzzles and become engaged in an epic science fiction narrative. The main selling points of this saga are the story, the characters and the universe. I was learning to use the RPG Maker program as I made these games, which means they become increasingly open and ambitious as the series goes on. The games have been made in the style of the traditional point-and-click adventure games of the nineties, so there is a focus on narrative, exploration and puzzle-solving. The first episode is quite short and you can probably complete it in an hour or two. Episode II will be released next week.
