A Windows update literally broke my computer... After a very complicated case of trying to access files I had to reboot the entire PC.
Â
I rebooted with the "keep files" option, and now my PC is fixed and actually usable, the reboot in fact did not keep my files... I've lost everything, and I had no chance to back them up since the update was mandatory and just happened...
Â
It was also a 6 hour update -.-
Â
Goodbye game progression~
Goodbye drawings I never got to upload or finish~
Goodbye game saves~
Â
I'm very salty right now...............

@Rikifive You're lucky. The latest update did a lot of nasty things, and even the best YouTube tech experts agreed that it was a bad idea to allow the update to occur.
Windows 10 has been buggy from launch, and remains so. Microsoft doesn't give a damn, they just want our money, which is why I'm looking forward to the five new Windows-compatible OS' to be coming out in the nearer future. -
I'm more upset about the drawing stuff tbh. Alot of concepts, custom tiles and a bunch of sprite editing was lost. I never backed it up either since there was no hint to an update the night before.
I agree with Riki, I've not had a problem (not since the first verification reboot I had to do since I first 'upgraded') so this took me by surprise - even more so when I literally couldn't do anything. Even the reboot took alot of fiddling since I couldn't access anything on my PC.

I don't buy anything from Microsoft so they don''t get my money anyway lol. I'm more concerned about the fact I rebooted everything but now that my PC is wiped clean, my Disk Space is apparently full. No clue whats happened but I'm sure it wasn't full beforehand.
Â
Lesson is; back up your stuff. Looking at an empty MV project is depressing haha.
