Interests
I'm interested in coding, I really like when things work.
Right now I am learning RGSS3 and C#, I use RGSS3 in RMVXA obviously and I use Unity3D to practice C#.

Scripted Menu systems are quite hard to make, mostly coding which actor goes where and displaying the right graphics, I am learning a lot though, so that's good

@KermexRPG Hey thanks man, but back to you; I really like that tileset, I'm a big fan of pixel art. This map really appeals to me, I was combing it to see if there was something I didn't like, but really, nothing I don't like. @Teival I like your maps too, there's just a couple of things that stand out, but before I say this - I am definitely no pro at mapping myself; I got a couple of nitpicks that stem from when I first started mapping and getting my own critique, one was that when maps are too big, and not all the space is filled up, it just kinda seems a bit pointless, so me personally, I always try to squish the big map, into a smaller map but with all the same features. And lastly, with your cliffs, another rule I was told, and stick to is the cliffs shouldn't go in the same direction more then 3 times. Other than that, I like the maps, I particularly like the farm map, and I think if it was a little smaller, so that the farm is the focus, it would look awesome -
Yes, awesome thank you, just before I refreshed this thread I started messing with the src_rect as well And no man, I typed in google 'rgss3 picture based huds' and all sorts, I didn't find it, I will check your works now though, thank you again ^^ *Wow, I just checked your script page and you have alot of scripts, I might have to try to learn from alot of them EDIT: If i'm understanding the rect correctly, it's impossible (Or incredibly difficult) to make it detract height from the top of the rect? an example would be, I use src_rect to increase the rect to a certain point to show the full picture bit by bit, I then make it so it takes the image away slowly, but from the top down rather than down up

Hi guys, I'd like to just give this a bit of a bump. To clarify, I am really trying to figure out how to show a % of the picture, it's eluding me quite well, I've been trying to comb through example codes of say Huds and things that would use pictures and things with no luck. I think it'd make for some really cool effects.

@Alexeyz I like those characters, and I love that tileset, but, I don't really like them together, to me they seem to clash _____________ So, I went back to the photoshop laboratory, and decided I would try to take what you said, Mr Big T and make something a little more.. subtle. I ended up with this - This is a base image, I haven't added it to the game yet, and I haven't added any options to it (as I want to 'animate' them as you go over them. I still have my ralphy boy and the little slant which I wanted but ; I feel like this one is more to the point, but it kinda looks a little empty, what do you guys think? **Once again, I obviously didn't make that Ralph picture, it is from the same website as earlier** -

@MISTER BIG TEA I really do like your house, the brown sorta reminds me of a maple color which appeals to me, and I think the picture of the moon is great swell. @your reply That's great, I did think that maybe the colors were a bit much, but I have been staring at it for so long, it was hard to tell, I will go back to photoshop and see if I can't come up with something a little more subtle -

Oh wow, I honestly think this script is far above my experience level, but, I'll keep going over it, and see if I can learn to understand it, if I find something, I'll post it here. It'll be good practice In the meantime I'll step aside and let someone more experienced step in- 4 replies

[Request] Change window order Kread-EX Runic Enchantment
SookyLala replied to leeoccleshaw's topic in Programming
Just curious, but does this come with another script? I am quite noobish, so I might be over looking something, but it calls the method 'create_help_window' and I can't find that method, I'm thinking it comes on another script part? I'm possibly wrong though- 4 replies

@Izu I really like that house, and the lighting effects are quite nice, I never really like games with modern themes, but, screenshots like this would really draw my interest. ------ Well, I finished my first picture based title screen script, and with it, I had to MacGyver some images in photoshop, and I came up with this, it all works, I'm quite proud, but I wanted a theme that all of my menus would follow, does this appeal to you guys? - Title Screen; Same theme usage on the menu screen I am working on, ignore the map, it's not anything, I don't plan to use editor mapping, just wanted something nicer to look at while testing Credits: The Ralph graphic was obviously not made by me, that awesome little picture comes from - https://divisionheaven.wordpress.com/material-list/facesets/actor-1-ralph/ -
You may need to elaborate, I'm finding it difficult to understand what you mean. 'When you get transferred it still reads the worlds name' Do you mean you use a transfer event to go from the world map to the town map? Do you have a script that tells you your location?

Some low level tricks to increase code compactness
SookyLala replied to DoubleX's topic in Programming
Hey, cheers, this is kinda cool, my noobish code is very messy and could definitely use some campactness, cheers man -
This is amazing, the screen shots are a lot of fun to look through, at first glance all the graphics look like too much, but after a few seconds, my eyes adjusted and it was easy to navigate, really good job.

Some screenshots from my project 'Return of the Lost'

I really like these, the Tavern is by far my favourite. Just curious though, in that first cave picture.. why is that small cluster of plants that is in a dark area quite bright? Is it a special glowing plant, or just hasn't been dimmed like the rest? -
I very much prefer the softness of the first
