      Seems @Nwhyce neglected to answer here but she did answer in Discord.

      Apparently, the NG+ script exacerbates an RGSS bug that involves the hardcoded marshal dump. In essence, if one starts a New Game + from a save file, it runs the previously saved event instead of the event at the starting map, at least, it runs that event first. Yup, I can replicate this bug without using the NG+ script.
