Need help with Victor's Animated Battler

Thanks. So any idea how I can fix the bow animation? It seems like a common trend with this script, at least when I was trying to look up a solution. That's why until I can fix the problem I won't have any archer characters for the time being. I can always go back later and keep making progress with the rest of the game.

Nevermind. I think I found the problem. And by that now I'm having another issue. Now my archer character keeps running at the enemy and hitting them with their bow and it shows a fire slash animation instead of shooting an arrow. What am I missing here?
  3. Greetings! So I'm looking for some help on a project I'm working on for my very first fan-game based off another game called "Riviera: The Promised Land" on the PSP, though originally it was for the Gameboy advance. The story follows a Grim Angel named Ein and his friends who are trying to save Riviera from a group of powerful Demons known as "The Accursed" and also prevent his former allies Ledah (also a Grim Angel) and Hector from destroying Riviera altogether to protect their realm/world of Asgard from another War between them and the Demons known as Ragnarok since the Gods of Asgard left/disappeared about 1000yrs ago. (For more information about the game and story use this link: http://www.atlus.com/rivierapsp/ ) Anyway, my story is going to follow another Grim Angel named Ash who descends upon Riviera 700yrs after the previous story from the original game because Asgard has heard rumors that the Gods might be returning to Riviera and sent her there to find out if this is true or not. Now for this game to work I'd like some help with a few things to make this fangame as close to the original as far as the game system is concerned: 1: Limited party size of 3 members 2: Relationship points with other main characters to effect the ending 3: Item durability 4: Voices for other characters (at the very least battle voices if no one can help record full dialogue) 5: Battle rank from S to A-D for better items 6: Inventory limit 7: Elemental strengths/weaknesses for certain characters 8: Extra content option on title screen I think that's all I need help with, so any and all suggestions to make this game the best it can be would be appreciated! Here's a few screenshots of my project to give you an idea: (The last one is from the actual game this will be based off of.)

    Horror RPG: Help

I fixed the lighting problem I was having by changing Z in Khas Awesome Lighting effects to 20. Here's a screen shot of the fixed lighting screen (I made the cursor myself!): And I totally agree about the audio being a huge factor, I mean have you ever played The Crooked Man? Yikes! I can only play that for so long before I have to take a break because my heart is beating so fast! I think I have a lot of good sound effects to choose from but my biggest issue was with the picture scares because I could never seem to get the timing right so I'll see if your suggestion works and find some more creepy pictures to use in the game.

Thanks, I'll be sure to try these suggestions. I already tried the lighting fix and that already helped me out a ton so I will be sure to remember to change the Z value for future projects if I run into the same problem again.

    Horror RPG: Help

Hi so I'm working on making my very first horror rpg called "Revenant's Edge" but I've run into a few problems so if anyone could give me a few helpful tips that would be awesome. Ok, so my first problem is with my choice text being dark like the rest of the background instead of normal like the regular text box. My next problem is that while I got one chase scene to work through multiple events I still need some help finding an easier way to make something chase and damage the character. After that I need help finding a simple horror menu screen with only three options, items, load, and a journal/notebook with no character screen. And lastly, I was wondering if anyone has a script or some tips on how to make a jump scare using an image flashing on the screen. P.S. if anyone knows of a good anti-lag script that would really help a lot too. Here's a few screenshots of the game:

    Swan Lake Help

Thanks for the help Pryde, I tested out a few of your suggestions and came up with a couple of events that work beautifully. I think I might be able to use the same events to make my characters swim too in other games once I make a swimming sprite for that character. And sorry for the late reply, for some reason I couldn't find my own topic on here and it was getting a bit frustrating. Anyway, thanks for the helpful tips!
