Some screen shots from the event might help. Setting it to player touch is useful for below/same as characters, setting it to event touch means the event itself needs to touch the player, eg a person following you, setting an event (I may be wrong lol) meana the event itself can walk/move through impassable walls and other events it normally cannot. Again, screen shots would be helpful.

If you want something simple just go into the skills in the database and set the skills requirement to desired weapon. If you'd like something more advanced I can look through some scripts and see what I find or look yourself. Hope I helped

A few questions for learning.. could use some help.
Darko Dom replied to Fox420's topic in Editor Support and Discussion
To your first question, yes. There's an animation file that gose along with every game. If you replace it with something else someone made you then gain those animations. For the second one. If you wanted to have it kinda like a password you could set it up like, Conditional branch (player name (password)) Set the player of choice to one you won't use for a real player/character. If player name: Make the event do whatever you want, dialog, battles, etc. If not: You can leave this blank or put a "wrong password" or something like that in it. For the third one. If you go into troops in your database you can set the batlle kinda like an event. You can put text in at certain turns, or if the boss is at a certain % of health, also if switchs are activated or do a combo of the boss being at a % and a turn. If I confused you or you need more help just ask -
Any problems with RPG VX Ace and Windows 10?
Darko Dom replied to 8bitPunk's topic in Editor Support and Discussion
You've always been able to play full screen mode >.> -
the conditional branch isn't the problem Are you making it so the player need's to be on top of the bed or beside it? You have the event set to "Below Character's" which require's the player to be on the event and then they can activate it. Set it to "Same As Character's" and they can activate it from any side with the action button.
-
I could see a couple things. Below characters would mean they would have to be on top of the bed or wherever you placed the event. The "0 gold or more" conditional branch could also be causing something but I doubt it. You could try just copy and pasting the default inn screen, or removing the conditional branch.

I might not be get a grasp of everything, but you can just make the skill require the book to be equipped in the skill page in the database. Sorry if that didn't help v.v
-
As it say's Erase event only temporarily removes the event, eg you leave it comes back. Make a new event page on the book with, "Requirement: Self switch (A, B,C or D)" Then in the first page at the end of the script queue Self switch (chosen letter) ON. This will make it use the second page so leave it blank and below characters which it should be by default.
-
I could be misunderstanding something here. Try making another event page for the exits that require a switch to activate, turn said switch on when you pickup the book and make it off when you use one of the exits The script would go like: Set switch (spikes) OFF Set switch (event page) OFF Transfer player (location) For the exit. After the spikes are activated. Hopefully that helped v.v

Returning Items in Specific Order in Event
Darko Dom replied to Schloops's topic in Editor Support and Discussion
I'm half asleep so I probably won't do a good job at this XD Use self switch's for the event, for example: Conditional Branch (player has book E) When: self switch A on (new page with same setup for next book, requires self switch A to be on) Since you have more than four books and there's only four self switch's, use a simple switch the same way, example. Conditional Branch: Player has book B When: set switch (name) ON New page with required switch to be on. Again, half asleep XD Hope I helped. Edit: Forgot to mention, if you want them to only have one of the books at a time, setup some switch's, eg, when the first book is placed back turn switch book2 on, book 2 will need said switch to turn the event to pick it up, you can do the same with the other's. -
How To Transfer A Airship To A Different Map
Darko Dom replied to Hardman5509's topic in Editor Support and Discussion
Just use the set vehicle (airship) command along with the transfer player. I haven't used the program in a while but I believe the command is in event page three. Again, not sure. -
Off the top of my head just make it so the event damages set % of health and make it an approach and "Event Touch". With what ever speed you want it.

No Problem!
