I accidentally uploaded the wrong file for the demo. Its still the demo i made, but it left out a starting weapon and an intro, other than that it's the same, so not a big deal, but I couldn't help myself so I reposted the link on the original post. Like I said, it only added an intro screen and a cookie cutter starting weapon so it's not a big deal if you all ready got the other version. Cheers

Don't know if this is where I post this or not but here's a link to a sort of tech demo I put together since I got VX Ace 2 weeks ago. I can't call it a Demo because there's no story. Let's call it an interactive proof of concept. I need help and this will give anyoe interested an idea of what I am trying to do. It's unencrypted so feel free to tinker with it, just let me know if and how you mess with the script so I can learn. I did forget to mention Charater Hub in the credits, it was a big help. That and the countless hours I spent with Mario Paint as a kid. So let me know what ya'll think drop some feedback on me. I'm having the opposite problem. I want to make it so that you start over as a differnt character when your main reaches zero. I've tried everything I could think of but it just goes to game over when the main goes down. (or switches to the next character if I have a party) Sugggestions? Also, I would like to be able to choose which character to start over as but I think I have that part solved, just can't actually get there. Just to be clear, the death state doesn't seem to affect anything as far as I could tell. I'm doing all of this over the demo, is that an issue? Thanks -
What's up rm community. I'm new to VX ace, but i've been dabbling in the various versions on and off since 2000, (the year). So far I'm digging VX ace, not really working on a game, per se, but just testing scripts and knocking the dust off. So far so good. I do have plans for a game, non-commercial mind you. (I would be sued out of my socks if I tried to make money off this game) It's been my pet project since the first rm i used back in the day. It's a tribute to the first video game I was ever exposed too way back when. Well that's about it. I've been playing video games since I could walk and I'm creeping on the big 3 0 with no signs of slowing down. Passion is my passion. One love. Wu tang! (if anyones interested, I'll shoot them a demo of my "test" game. It has no coherent story but any input is welcome. Also, I'm using Falcoa's ABS script (which is fantastic for a non-coder like myself) and Kahl's Lighting (also a great script).
