    Hello again, I have an another question. How do I prevent resources from being used if the recipe is a failure? Example: My character is making a water compass. It requires a magnetized needle and a bowl of water. The failure percentage 30% reflects the chance that the needle was not properly magnetized. If the recipe fails, the needle and bowl of water would still be in the player's inventory. If the recipe successes, the needle and bowl of water are removed from the inventory and the water compass is added. I would appreciated if you could point me in the right direction.
  3. Hello, I want set up a skill that lets a class/actor craft items. Example: The cleric can mix potions when not in battle. What I tried to do was take the Tidloc alchemy system and create a common event that calls it up. This common event can then be turned into a skill an assigned to a class. For the common event I put used the script option and put in "Tidloc_Alchemy.call" to link to the script titled 'Tidloc Alchemy' I think the theory is sound, but when I try to active the skill during play-testing I crash the game. This is the error. Script 'Game_Interpreter' line 1411: NameError occurred uninitialized constant Game_Interpreter::Tidloc_Alchemy Any ideas? I have zero scripting knowledge.

    Hello, I install your header and this alchemy script but got this error. line 3105 NoMethodError occured. undefined method 'Scan' for Tidloc::Alchemy:Module The header and the alchemy script are the only two custom scripts running in the rpg maker vx ace. I have no coding experience and don't even know how to start troubleshooting this. I hope that you can take some time to help me sort this out.
  6. Not much to say, I'm a storyteller by trade, and I think I have a story that will tell best as a video-game. I've had the plot/system in a notes folder for a few years. Since I'm between writing projects at the moment, I thought I'd try game-making. I have a Humble bundle of resources, a bit of free-time and dreams of becoming the next Roberta Williams. Maybe I can pull it off, maybe this new media will make me stumble. Either way, I hope to make a playable demo for my friends and family.
