Keep in mind that although the plugins used to be free, he has been accepting donations through Patreon for the past few years, so he's already been compensated for his hard work. Now he thinks he can circumvent plagiarism by charging for them when he was already getting paid for them. That's a lot of extra money for a half-assed solution that won't stop the problem.

I do get your POV on this, and I agree to a point, but on all fronts, it was both a bad decision and a dick move.

It actually makes me even more determined to seek public domain for all I do. Oh yeah, public domain is one of those things that is nigh impossible to reverse, despite a certain company wanting to make it not so (DISNEY).

well in his latest post, He is making 40 plugins still free to use for public. I can't blame him for what he has done, but that is better than nothing. I guess.
