hello again ppl of the internet! its been awhile hasent it? ...so this may not ever be read but I have noticed that these forums support VX VXA and MV ...but not XP? I've recently switched over to XP as a main RPG system due to its easier paralaxing/scripting system and nicer sprite sheet customization what I'm trying to say is is there a way that XP scripts and discussions could be added to this site? there are still ALOT of people who use and love XP and I think it would be a good thing to have XP included on the site thats all I have to say on the matter but I hope someone reads this and thinks about the idea (this site is 3X more active then the other sites that include XP ((+ more friendly/helpful)) so I think it would be a really good move to include XP so that people still using XP can get advice/help/praise for what they're working on)

just to let everyone know I HAVE switched over to XP as a game engine ..mostly I do still work in VXA but if this is to hard to make in RGSS3 and could be made easier in RGSS dont hesitate to message me I'm also learning RGSS 3 and RGSS even though I suck at it I am trying to learn ...if anyone wants to help me out with learning scripting feel free to message me

the demo is missing and the script is unaccessable in a .rb file could you please fix this?

thats really cool! I can't code or script but this system seems pretty cool! ...you wouldent happen to have a demo would you? I'm not particularly good at scripting but I can tinker with pre exsisting stff to make things work...I may be able to figure out multiple enemy attacking for certain attacks if you want never mind I found the demo...and I cant fix or edit that..sorry

thats why I was hoping to somewhat combine scripts so it wont lag to much and having about ten stepmania assaults per enemy attack so its not overly powerful..if it can be done through events I'm up for that as well your stepmania script is awesome btw and how do the other games that you mention do dodging? thank you! I'm trying to convert the camera system from XP as we speak although its suuuper hard when you have little to no scripting knowledge..Ive gone through over 426 errors so far

I'd imagine that the battler attack comes with normal animation, but a portion of the battle screen is the stepmania minigame, which will start whenever an attack starts. In order for the target to completely avoid the attack, the player must play that stepmania minigame well. Maybe Marvelous/Fantastic/Ridiculous for a step means 100% avoidance for the corresponding damage part, Miss means 0% avoidance, and Perfect/Excellent, Great, Good, Barely/Boo leads to some avoidance. However, I can see 1 rather obvious issue - The ATB system has to be full wait(i.e., always stops completely whenever the players can input actions for inputable actors), or the players will have quite a hard time simultaneously playing the stepmania minigame and inputting actions for inputable actors. You'll have to be a real prodigy to overcome this constraint(Right now I can only come up with 1 idea - making your system to need 2 players to play, 1 for inputting actions for inputable actors, 1 for playing the stepmania minigame) I plan to have the game with only one actor and when the enemy atb is full is cancels out whatever you were doing to start the attack or..if thats not possible utilizing the WASD keys for dodging and the arrow keys and spacebar for inputing attacks Technically it'll work, but on the players' perspective, your battles will be really, really hard, unless playing the stepmania minigame to dodge the attacks is only bonuses but not required to win those battles. It's because players will have to look at 2 different places, think about 2 different activities, and use each hand to make different inputs(stepmania minigame vs inputting actions for inputable actors), simultaneously. You can try to imagine playing such battles yourself, and/or you can try to play an easy, simple and small stepmania song on the PC/Laptop using 1 hand while using your mobile phone/tablet to do basic stuffs using another hand lol YOUR RIGHT! I litterally just tried playing stepmania while battling and its ridiculously hard....so I'd have to try and make it so all options you do are either paused or canceled when stepmania dodging starts...you wouldent happen to know how to do this would you?

hiya! I just wanted to let you know that I'm going to have to litterally make the song from scratch so it may take awhile to send a song...I was wondering if you needed anything else for placeholders or if you needed a tester for it so far
