Ooooh! I am still alive! I got busy with school and work ;-; I "grinded" when I had time. There's a direction change in what I want my art to look like. Clove those look wonderful ;w; 2nd batch (more sketches than fully rendered artworks)

Face practice...

Portrait of an elf. ;-; Hair is haaaard.

Pixel art :c I could say the same. That's a land that I tried venturing but had not succeeded. XD I'm so bad with it. I envy you and other pixel artists* that could do it.

Thanks! You could post how you practice or something. I'd do my best to provide feedback, (but only if you want it.)

Thank you ;-; Want to post your practices/studies/unfinished work here as well? (To give this thread a little jump start.) Here's today's set of gestures. Struggled in simplifying today. Don't know why.

I got permission from Tsarmina for this! Yay! Okay, welcome to this workshop! I tried finding an art thread that is dedicated solely to studies of people, and not the individual/OP. This is mainly a thread for displaying your studies, if you want to share your thoughts on people's works, giving and receiving feedback on the things you post here. Everyone's welcome to post their studies regardless of skill-level. Giving other artists feedback will be very much appreciated. Of course, that goes without saying, I'll also do my best to help people out. For starters, a practice that I do a lot, is gesture drawing! I've only just begun practicing this stuff and I wish I did it when I first started art. A good start would be to draw a pose in 5 minutes. The main point of this is to capture human flow and movement. Once you can do that quickly, you can then begin refining the anatomy. I've still not perfected this, as you can see, but it's a really good practice. This was my first time doing it. It looked so stiff. Compared to my very recent one! It looks a lot better now but I still have a ways to go. The main thing to forget is the contour! (I'm not a very good example.) There are a lot of gesture drawing websites out there like quickposes or pixelovely that helps me practice. Try it out if you want =D. (Heavily inspired by another forum that I frequent.)

How to deal with lots of characters?
littleyuri replied to BernkastelWitch's topic in Theory and Development
I was about to mention Suikoden, but you already did. So, how about taking inspiration from that? They have over 108 characters to play with. I'd say not all of them are fleshed out as well, but if I remember correctly, 99% of the characters have a backstory. -
Thanks! And yeah, I need to draw at a lower res to accommodate VX. Drawings just looks so crisp on a higher res.
