It appears I was wrong of course. I was using bad condition syntax...

I solved my own problem. I modified the script to add variables for hidden achievements and let the script check if it should display the hidden names & help. I don't know if it's fine with Calestian to post an update of his script though...

I've been using this script intensely, it's very handy, thank you. But I am now having a problem. I'm trying to use the hide_choice function within a loop, but unfortunately, if one of the choices has been hidden once, if the condition to hide it is removed within the loop, the choice will not appear once the loop starts again. Is there a way to fix it or I am using it wrong ?

OK, maybe I asked for something that was explained already, but I really can't find it. So I up my question in hope someone has an idea about it. Thx

This is a very nice script. But I really need to hide the ones that are not meant for the part of the game the player is playing. The title of the achievement would spoil the future events. So is there a possibility to hide the achievement or maybe simply change the name of the achievement with a variable ? I tried to set up the achievements with assigning variables to :name and :help But I am not sure it is possible (I am just guessing how Ruby works). This way I would change the variable from "XXXXXXX" to "Kill the goblien chief" for instance. Thanks for the help.

Thanks guys. @Yorkshire-pud : Oh yeah, Hero Machine is an amazing tool and really versatile. We use it for as much for our D&D sessions as for our Marvel Heroes characters design.

Hi there ! I'm really new to the concept of making one's own video game, but I've been mastering tabletop RPGs and playing video game RPGs for ages... I just discovered RPG Maker's potential, so I got VX Ace recently. I like to do maps and stories, and the software seems really easy to use. I'm no artist (there seems to be realy talented one here !), but I once tackled at creating Micro-Heroes pixel drawings, so I may also try to do my own sprites soon ! I just don't want to think how time consuming this will be. Aahahah.... I'm sure this place will be a really great source of inspiration and knowledge. I hope I'll be able to bring something along too. Best to all.
