Echoes of Creoya Download: https://www.mediafire.com/?sbi6v567zrbemtr Hello everyone! Thanks for clicking here! This project I am working on is still really new, and actually my first attempt at making a game. But I feel like I've put a decent amount of time into it so far, mostly learning how to use RMAce. The main purpose of posting this demo for you all is I really want some feedback. It would be nice to hear the opinions of others whether or not I should continue with this project and get more serious with it. I don't want to waste my time on garbage, haha. Don't be afraid to hurt my feelers! Abstract: An orphan lives in a world constantly at war between two main powers: the Ecelan Empire and the Paxaeba Kingdom. With his childhood friend, he embarks to find out more about his past and where his place is in a world that is controlled by an unknown influence (cliche, eh?). An old-school style rpg influenced by many popular ps1 rpgs. Game Progression: Overall this is probably 1-5% complete. Haha. I have a lot of ideas for the story line, and I have ideas for introducing ~8 characters total. This would hopefully end up being a full scale rpg, and I would shoot for something like 30-40hrs of gameplay. So far, knowing exactly where to go, the demo takes me 20 minutes to finish, even less if I run from all random encounters. One thing I haven't done is skills, so although there isn't an ending to the demo, leveling up doesn't really do much for ya. Story/Setting/Purpose: The main character is awoken by his childhood friend so that they may attend a festival in their small town of Goldmund on the continent of Ecelan. They must enjoy their time together, as the following morning, the main character will ship off to fight a war against the rival kingdom of Paxaeba. As the story progresses, it becomes clear that their country is corrupt and they must set off, with the help of comrades met along the way, to try and find what exactly pulls the strings of their world. I have a decent idea of where the story will go, but I have been changing it quite frequently as I actually make it. I hope this is enough. Don't really want to spoil it. It's a short demo Characters: -Zane- An orphan with a kind heart trying to find his place in the world. -Erika- Zane's childhood friend (maybe more than friends). She sticks close by to Zane as he always protects her. Screenshots: Features: Side battlers, non-vanilla game musics (some), lockpicking minigame Features Planned: Sidequests initiated by bulletin board, a sort of crafting system Credits and Acknowledgements!!!

Need help with crediting a source. . .
superleech replied to superleech's topic in Editor Support and Discussion
Okay, sounds great, thanks for your second pair of eyes! I wanted to be sure. I'm certainly not artistic enough to edit them, nor stupid enough to claim them as my own. Still not sure about rainer's page of battlers, but I might just look elsewhere. for some reason they are really hard to find. I might end up buying a battler pack. . . Anyhow, thanks again Tsarmina. -
Hey all, I was hoping some kind soul could help me determine how and if I could use a couple resources I found. I'd like to make sure I can use them commercially, and how exactly to credit the following sources: for icon sets: http://whitecafe.sakura.ne.jp/material.html and for battlers: http://raineru03.web.fc2.com/ I tried google translate but it didnt help much. . . I'm hoping someone on here already recognizes these pages and could shed some light on the topic. Thanks in advance!

I just wanted to add my two cents, seeing as I'll be using this script (very grateful). I was messing with it for a while before getting it to work, so maybe I can save someone else some time. 1. Make sure at Line 95 in Tidloc's Lockpicking script you have changed the number for "Result_switch" to whatever number switch you have created for "minigame won". 2. Make sure the three .png files from Tidloc's demo are in a folder in this directory: Your_project/Graphics/Pictures/Games/LockPick/ and put em there. 3. In my game, I was using Yanfly scripts, and the back.png and pin.png pictures did not line up right in the minigame. After trial and error, I found that in Line 105 in the Lockpicking script, Start_pick = 131 worked for me. I personally wasnt able to get it to check if lockpicks were in my inventory, so I just gave my 'hero' an 'unbreakable pick' and made sure to have every locked door had a switch condition = 'pick owned' so he couldnt pick it before he actually got the pick. I also ran into problems with the minigame popping up even after I had successfully opened it, and at that point, even failing to pick it would open the door. I fixed this with some self switches that didnt take too long to figure out, but I can elaborate more with screenshots if anyone is actually interested. Like I said, my two cents. Hope it helps someone. And thank you Tidloc for this awesome script. SIDE NOTE: Your image is broken, try again and I'll try to help?

Glad to actually get an account on here, i've lurked for quite a while now, since im trying to make my very own rm ace game. A lot of stuff I've read has really helped so far. The main reason I made a profile is so I can ask a couple questions, and also respond to questions I've seen that I actually know the answer to. I'm mostly making this intro post so I can reply to other conversations, and like I said, hopefully contribute something. I'm a generic old school rpg lover. Played every single final fantasy (8 is probably my favorite, I'm ready for the shaming), loved Legend of Dragoon, Chrono Trigger, you get the idea. I look forward to making a friend or two on here! -superleech
