Yes, one has to set up specific item types for use in battle. The script is not really plug and use, it requires configuration. Now, one can set it up so that all the items show up in one menu chunk but only certain items can be used in battle because items can be assigned multiple tags.

Yes. One can utilize Victor Sant's Item Command script (I don't have a link on hand), though it does require some tinkering with to have it so that all items appear as you wish them to (I have done this myself). I will note that they will appear by type groups (items/armors/weapons) if you use this script. I would actually recommend separating items from important items still.

Yes, variables can be used in damage formulas. You really should instead of tripling then halving a stat, just do this: (stat * 1.5) It literally does the same but with more stable results. I know; I've had the experience of having the damage formula return some really weird, unfavorable results in the past. ( a.agi *3 ) / 2 + a.atk * 2 - b.def * 2 Revision: (a.agi*1.5+(a.atk*2))-b.def*2 Yeah; one can omit spaces but one must always utilize both sides of a decimal point (0.5 is the rule but .5 will have Ruby throw a fit). Success % is used for skills that have a chance of executing, not in success in the executed task/s (unless the skill is set to 'always hit' rather than 'physical/magical'). Little tip: Use this in a damage formula: eval($data_X[id].note) Where X is any database with an editable notebox like states, skills, items, weapons, armors, actors, classes, etcetera, and ID is the corresponding ID, for a nigh unlimited amount of space for your damage formula. That said, the notebox must contain absolutely nothing else in it. It cannot be used for anything else. I actually picked this up from digging through the non-archived files of one of my favorite RM games.

So, this PC isn't capable of running everything I have in my Steam library.
Aside from that, I have obstacles many (well one big one anyway) that are keeping me from transferring everything from my older PC to my new one.
Main issue: This newer PC has room for only one HDD, and the one installed has a capacity of ~500 GB. MY older PC has a 1 TB HDD and has more than 600 GB of that reserved for use, most of that full. I also was not a dummy like last time; I made a larger partition for [C:\] and thus, have even less space for anything on my newer PC.
Yeah; I'm not gonna be able to get any upgrades for this PC anytime soon, if ever. The joys of having to buy from brick and mortar stores and not really being able to, because of BS reasons.
Oh trust me, I prefer in-person shopping; I wish online shopping would crash and burn.

State that disables random skill

This would require scripting. I'm sure there's a way to iterate an array of Skill IDs in a random choice, but that would be beyond my level of skill with Ruby/RGSS. -

I myself have tried my hand at making furniture from pixel scratch...
Having terrible depth perception makes all efforts look literally flat. I only ever managed to make a decent looking, 2D table that would look okay in a side-scroller...

PaintDotNet is another great free image editing tool. One can also do this with Pictures. Just be sure to import the scriptlet that forces the game to delete the pictures when [Erase Picture] is used, rather than having it draw a blank 32*32 px thing, or else, LAG!

It's a real shame that the 'Ultimate Icon Set' is included. You almost didn't need anything else with all it had to offer, but it was also an unorganized mess as well, to the point where I originally planned to clean it up, add recolors & call it 'Ultimate Icon Set 2.0'. But when I went to look for it, it was gone. Now we all know why. Also, you never have to worry about DLCs being plagiarized. I'm sure those submitted works are checked first before being put up on the store, lest
DegicaKomodo risk being an even bigger embarrassment than they already are. -

I have difficulties with Executive Functioning. It affects so many things...
So, when I bought RMXP for Zelda, it felt good because I wasn't judged or criticized for it.
I was thanked, yes, but just that, well, I was given the "you didn't have to" speech, but I did it because I wanted to, and it's fine; she's entitled to know why I did that, but I didn't have/need a reason.
I just don't do well with doing things and getting criticized unfairly. It's unnecessary stress.-

Anyway, executive functioning is...hard to explain. Trouble making decisions and doing things, is part of it. It's a big web of things that all involve processing everything and making a quick response to, like everyone expects. "RESPOND NOW." (when I'm still processing a lot of things all at once)

Is it just me, or do the MZ graphics, at least for faces, have that older anime look to them, like from Gundam, or similar?
It was an observation I made when I was making some character art with MZ pieces in GCH PE. -

Yeah; the milktoast EULA one gets with pretty much any asset explains precious little. In fact, it often doesn't explain any of the applicable terms for that particular asset (this is so with some of the more recent ones like VX Ace's Shopping Spree to name one), so there's often no clear way of knowing unless the terms are clearly stated elsewhere (in the case of the previously aforementioned asset they are stated on the Steam store page which is a good thing because otherwise there's only the milktoast EULA and the graphics). -
I had the sudden idea of trying to make a 'truce' function, and it's not going well.
Dammit, Undertale...lolz-
I kinda did something like that as part of an old game idea that didn't really end up going anywhere. Still like the idea of the game and some of the systems I came up for it were kinda neat, but it was a bit too ambitious and I never figured out a good way to do NPC/NPC interaction.

Yep, especially when one uses external scripting stuffs and such relies on conflicting scripts, or relies on attempts at making the external scripting recognize that another script does the same thing...
Crystal Engine Extra Stats requires Enemy Classes for Extra Stats to work for enemies...
(that clashes with Yanfly's Enemy Levels)
So I made it so that it can also run if Yanfly's Enemy Levels is 'imported', but somehow, it breaks the damage formula, because something isn't reading properly...and that's part of the difficulty I guess...ugh...lolz - Show next comments 6 more
