  1. I used events as a fourth layer for graphic bits at one point, though this was far more viable back in RPG Maker XP.

    I actually miss the functionality of the tile mapper in XP in later iterations since any tile could be placed on any layer, and that's never been topped. Like, making a land bridge appear using just grass tiles on the event layer is really awesome.

    I mean, sure, one can kinda sorta do that in VX/Ace, but not easily...

      I should make another attempt at creating @viewport4. I'm just not sure what all goes into that.

      @Verdiløs Games Yeah that's what most people do. It's actually not that bad of an idea on smaller maps, but with large maps it can become a pain to deal with just because of the massive image sizes. Personally I wouldn't want to use images more then say 1024x1024 for backgrounds, but my laptop is old.


       @PhoenixSoul You can create one the same way the first three are created.

      Yeah, parallax mapping is fine if you know what you're doing and have a reason to use it.
